About: I’ve been around pets all my life and have a lose cared for them. I treat all the fur babies with love and as if they are my own ❤️ I do work from home so I am able to give the fur babies attention and take them for walks I work from home and have lots of flexibility. This allows me to give your fur babies the attention they need. I am able to take them on walks and take time to play with them as well. I live in an apartment but I allow pets to roam free in my home. I do have blankets and toys as well for your pets. My apartment complex has lots of grass where they can run and play as well. If you require your pet to be in a crate I can do that as well.
“Alba was great with Archie! When I went to pick up Archie, he was hesitant to leave. Alba sent pictures throughout the stay so we got to see what Archie was up to. Looking forward to having Alba take care of Archie again.”

“It’s always a good sign when Charlie pulls on his lead to get into the sitter’s house. He seems to have enjoyed himself which makes us feel good leaving him with Kristie.”

“Jennifer was great! when I dropped off my pooch I was so nervous I couldn't get past the stop sign.... and I was having him sat so I could enjoy a spa day. at the ultimate spa palace spa castle in queens ny! this was my 1st time leaving my baby with a stranger. well Jennifer reassured me with both texts and photos thought the entire time I was away. my pup mink loves his time there with her pup and family. when we got home he knocked out for the entire night. I will certainly be using Jennifer's day care again. maybe just so mink can play she also has a 22 yr old grey parrot who blew minks mind lol. so now I can add birds onto his long list of friend creatures. thank you again jennifer!”

“Sarah and her lovely family took care of our little Yorkie for five days while my husband and I were visiting in New York City. We were staying out on Long Island, and had event tickets each day in the city, so we needed flexible doggie day care hours to accommodate our needs. We felt so very blessed to find Sarah! She welcomed Violet into her home and treated her like family. She is very well equipped to care for any pets and has plenty of equipment and facilities thoughtfully laid out in her home and yard. She has thought of everything her guests could possible need! She kept us very well informed throughout the visit so I didn’t have to worry and wonder about our baby one bit. She obviously loves animals and treated our sweet girl like her very own. Violet was so happy to get there each day and loved playing with all the people and pets in Sarah’s household. I have only ever used day care services on Rover and really couldn’t imagine boarding our fur baby with someone other than a family member, but I wouldn’t hesitate to leave her at Sarah’s! I know I would get professional care, steady communication, and the most loving environment! I cannot recommend her more highly!”

“Amrit was so great taking care of my two yorkies, Emma and Charlotte this past weekend. As rescues, my dogs tend to be very scared of meeting new people; but both days when I dropped them off and picked them up from Amrit they were very happy and calm. Amrit was very understanding of my pups’ needs. I will definitely use Amrit’s services again! Highly recommend!”

“Michelle is very caring. She communicated quickly with me and we set up a meet and greet. Charlie was nervous . We decided to do a daycare visit. Michelle informed me that there would be another dog there and wanted to know if I was ok with it which I was. Michelle texted me in the am to confirm drop off time. She sent updates and pictures throughout the day. She was also fine when I had to pick Charlie up later than I originally said. Charlie was fine when I went to pick him up. I plan on using Michelle again”

“Alissa is super nice and down to earth. We met with her for a meet and greet and my dog was comfortable with her and her home right away. She has two super sweet dogs of her own and her home is beautiful and cozy. She is quick to respond and has proven to be reliable and trustworthy. I would highly recommend her!”

“Once again, Clare had such a wonderful time at Pamela’s! And get this, not only did Pamela repack Claire’s food, but she even included a mini ice pack to keep it cold! Very considerate. Thank you so much!!”

“Great communications & very accommodating! We had to drive to Boston for my son’s graduation on a 1-day trip. Gloria had made the process as easy & as smoothly as possible for my furry baby Teddy. He had a great time with her & we definitely will be back.”

About: My family and I all love animals, so we applied to be pet's sitters at home care. We have a independent house with a yard, and there will always be someone at home 24 hours a day. The pets can move freely at home without too many restrictions. We have regularly clean to the house to ensure the clean and hygiene environment for all pets. I have over a year of experience in taking care of cats and over six years of experience in taking care of dogs. The longest time I took care of a cat was for two months. At the beginning, the cat would hide under the sofa for a week, but lately he became completely unrestrained and would lie on the bed together, play hide-and-seek with me, and explore every corner of the house. When the weather was good, the dogs could play freely in the yard. Welcome all cats and dogsto my home, we are the best friends of your pets! We can keep daily routine for all pet's. I am working part-time on weekends and I will come back at 4PM , but my family members are off on weekends. And my family members and I take care of all pets together. “Trying to find a great babysitter has been one of the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do especially since I own a large breed puppy! Those feelings changed after I met Vanessa and her family. They are the most loving family I’ve ever met! I felt very assured that my german shepherd puppy was in good hands. I cannot thank Vanessa enough for the amazing service she has provided!”

“This is the first time that I left Teddy with Iris and Evan and they took great care of my little guy. He is not used to being around other dogs but they made sure that he felt comfortable. They sent plenty of pictures which reassured me that he was doing good. I would recommend them to anyone who needs someone to watch over their dogs.”

Krissy and her husband were wonderful! We felt completely comfortable leaving our dogs in their care. We were visiting the area for a week and needed someone to board our dogs while we were here. We’re so happy we found them and would highly recommend them! 🐾😊

Alissa was amazing and very sweet. She was quick to respond and sent many photos and videos of our pup having fun. She let us know that he ate and even napped which speaks to how comfortable and safe he felt in Alissa’s care. She was also very accommodating to our questions. Definitely would book again 🤍🐾

It usually takes our chihuahua, Louie, a while to warm up to new people. However, he warmed up to Patricia right away! He was so comfortable in her home that he sat on her lap during the first doggie day care session. Patricia is very attentive, extremely knowledgeable, and treated Louie like her own pet. We are very fortunate to have found Patricia!

Ralph was awesome!!! We were in town for an Ironman and needed a last minute dog sitter for the day. Ralph was extremely accommodating and flexible with our race schedule. He took excellent care of Baxter with lots of updates during the day. Highly recommend! If we are in the area and need a dog sitter we would choose Ralph in a heartbeat!!!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Levittown commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
