“Saige is awesome! She goes above and beyond to care for my pup and to communicate concerns. Great peace of mind when traveling knowing my pup is receiving high quality care. Thanks!”

“Jadyn communicated clearly, was punctual… and she sent many pictures during each visit with Sparky. Sparky prefers home and her drop in visits allowed him to stay at home while we enjoyed some time away. Going out of town can be a stressful part of dog ownership and Jadyn gave us peace of mind that he was taken care of.”

“Sidney did amazing with our Australian Blue Heeler! She suggested an initial meeting to get the low down, and her communication only got better from there. She kept us in the know, took great pics and gave us updates. She even made sure to check what time we were going to be home and offer another visit if necessary. Will definitely be using in the future, if she’ll have us! Thanks, Sidney!”

About: I have had dogs my whole life and love them so much! I work from home and I have some free time so I can accommodate your pets needs! I take my dog on 2-3 weeks daily! If your dog works well with other dogs, I would be happy to take your dog out too! I also work from home and can bring them to my house for a break during the day! Your dog will be well taken care of! Plenty of exercise and care time! I offer walks, potty breaks, and sit in time just depending on what you are looking for!
“Love having Kayla watch our kitties while away! We were gone for a whole week this time so we had her come twice a day and we are so glad we did! My particular cat even let her pet him!!!! Would rebook again and again.”

“Morgan was great. This was my first time using Rover and very last minute. She was very responsive and came over to meet the our dog prior. She was very playful with him and sent lots of pictures and a little note with each visit. Highly recommend!”
About: I have taken care of dogs as long as I can remember! I watch pets for friends and family all the time. I love being able to shower pets with play time, walks and cuddles (if they like those things)! I'm available to sit/board most days and weekends. I will have plenty of time to play, go on walks and provide bathroom breaks. I do work hybrid, so there might be a day or two where I'll be away for maximum 8 hours. I have a fenced in backyard and no pets. I do have a crate on hand if your dog prefers a crate. I know some dogs are crate trained and/or prefer crates.
“Holly was amazing with our cat Cosmo. For using an official pet nanny for the first time ever, I feel as though we lucked out with her! I had awful experinces with pet boarding, so I decided that the best thing for him would be to stay home where he's comfortable and safe. We went on a 2-week vacation and I was a little worried Cosmo would be sad and lonely, but to my surprise we came home and he seemed happy and well cared for! Holly was very reliable with doing the drop-ins, always provided plenty of pictures, and she responded back quickly when I had any questions. She even picked up our packages off the porch and watered our plants. I would absolutely recommend her to everyone and definitely plan on booking with her again soon. Simply the best!!!”

If your pet has special instructions, please let me know!
“Thank you so much Tiffany!! Sorry my cats are scaredy cats, but I'll work on that for future visits. Tiffany does great job looking after my kitties. Loved the pictures.”

About: I have professional work experience taking care of clients’ animals! I have worked with pets of all kinds, and I always love meeting new animals! I am a full time student, but my classwork is fully online. Over the summer, I will have lots of free time to dedicate to caring for pets! I know exactly how important pets are to their families, and I am dedicated to providing the same level of care I would for my own pets. I want to make sure all pets are able to get the care and love they deserve!

About: I have cared for my own pets for most of my life I have had big dogs, little dogs, many cats, even a fish and I have loved them all! I am currently working a part time job for the summer and this will be an add on to make a couple extra dollars. I only work my part time job a few days during the week so I will have a lot of availability. When caring for pets in others homes I will make sure that the pet has plenty of potty breaks, a ton of play time, and tons of love. I will care for them like they are my own!

“Tayler gave our dog Luna special care, gave us specific daily notes about her time with Luna, and was warm and friendly in all of our interactions. If you're lucky enough to see Jessica available on Rover, book her immediately! Jessica has cared for our cat, Buddy, many times over the past few years, and I can honestly say she is everything you’d hope for in a pet sitter: incredibly reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely caring. Our cat isn’t exactly a people-loving creature, but it’s clear he feels safe and loved whenever she’s around. As Buddy has aged and developed special dietary needs, Jessica has been amazing at following instructions and giving him the attentive, personalized care he needs. It gives us such peace of mind knowing that she treats him like one of her own. We’ve never had to worry when we’re away. Jessica is a true professional and an absolute gem. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lees Summit. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
