“Kevin was amazing! Extremely professional and caring human (my dog Winston warmed up to him quickly). He even fed my dog and gave him water before he left. Responds to messages very quickly and can tell he takes this very seriously. I’m quite nervous to leave someone I only know through a quick meet and greet with my dog and keys, but he made that easy for me. Hopefully Kevin continues doing Rover because I’d like to book with him again!”

About: Hi, I’m Lauren! I was a proud dog mom to two amazing girl dogs until recently, and I truly miss the joy of caring for a dog. While my family isn’t ready to have another of our own just yet, I’d love to help others by spending time with their furry family members. When I was young, I worked as a Seeing Eye Dog trainer, which gave me years of experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m patient, reliable, and comfortable with everything from playful puppies to older companions who just want a calm walk and a cuddle. Whether you need drop-ins, walks, or overnight care, I’ll make sure your pup feels loved, safe, and right at home while you’re away. I work a hybrid schedule. Typcailly I work from home on Wednesdays and always Fridays. On the work from home days, I don't start until 10AM so I am free in the mornings and will take my lunch for the afternoon walks. In our home, we have an enclosed deck. Gate if needed to avoid the stairs. Nothing on the ground to chew. Pet free home. In other homes, I am always wondering where the pup is. I ensure to keep a close eye if they tend to be a trouble maker.
About: I've never been a professional pet sitter, but I've proudly been the go-to sitter for family and friends for as long as I can remember. From playful pups to senior sweethearts. I've always loved caring for animals of all kinds. And yes, I've even pet-sat hermit crabs. In fact, one cat-sitting job turned into a 12-year relationship with my late cat Kitty (I know..very creative). I treat every pet as my own and understand how important it is to trust the person caring for them. My goal is simply happy pets and happy owners. My current priorities are my education and my son. Outside of those responsibilities, I have a flexible schedule and can provide dependable, loving care for your pets. My goal is to step in and make them feel safe, loved, and cared for while you're away. I'll stick to their routine, give them plenty of attention, play, and affection, making sure they feel like they're spending time with a friend instead of a stranger. I'll always keep you updated with photos and check-ins to give you peace of mind.
“She is great with Leo, very loving, patient, friendly. I recommend anyone looking for a walker, choose Jenniffer she’s the best!. Leo still finds himself looking out, and waiting for her to come and walk him. I will definitely be using Jenniffer again.”

“Dina was absolutely incredible! Her knowledge and experience working with labs (and large dogs), was very comforting for my fiancee and myself, as our chocolate lab is just shy of 100LBs. Dina was always on time, and we know that her time spent with Luca was never rushed. She spent more than 30 minutes with Luca on each of her visits; walking him around the neighborhood multiple times in a single visit - something no other walker has previously done for him. Additionally, Dina took the time to send us photos of our baby throughout her visits - which we all loved to see. Luca told us that he loved Dina and that he'd prefer for her to watch him during our future travels... I think she told him about her pool! Jonathan”

“Mike was awesome! He took such great care of my dog while walking her. He went the extra mile to make sure she was comfortable and happy. Will absolutely be using him for all my future walks!”

About: I love all animals and will provide excellent care for your furry friends. I was blessed to have our family dog for 16 1/2 years and always made sure he was well taking care of. I now have my own cat and also help take care of my brother’s dog. I also have years of experience with taking care of other dogs and cats as well, which includes feeding, walking and playing with them everyday. I am a very caring and loving person. I am a teacher so I will have the summers open to help take care of your furry friends. I love petting/playing with dogs, cats and taking dogs for a walk. I look at all animals as a part of someone’s family, they are more than just a pet they are a loving family member. Your animals will be treated with the best care as if they were my own pet. Thank you and I look forward to meeting new furry friends! I am a teacher so I have summers off and will have a pretty open schedule to help take care of your furry family members! I care for pets in the clients home by making sure I know everything that needs to be done while I’m taking care of them. I make sure the families tell me any important information I may need to know. When coming into their house I approach their animals slowly and allow them to become comfortable with me so they feel safe as well.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a child. Lots of experience in caring for dog and dog walking. I also have experience in caring for a pet after surgery and administering medication. I understand how important it is for your dog to be comfortable while you are away from home. I work full-time, but I work from home two days a week. Those days I would be available for dog walking or checking in on your pet. Could do in-home sitting, preferably on weekends, but should be able to fit weekdays schedule also. I would be caring for your pet in your home. This would make them the most comfortable being in their own house. I will try to stick to the same routines that the owner does.

“Kim is the best dog walker I could have ever asked for! She cares for my dog and treats my dog like her own! Whenever my dog was sick, she would message me and see how my dog was feeling and if there is anything she can do to help! She is always extremely kind and flexible to my schedule! Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Laurence Harbor
Dina was very responsive upon our initial booking. She asked great questions and did an initial assessment before accepting the assignment. We appreciated her taking the time to get to know our fur babies and her commitment to their care. She quickly adapted to our one dog's behavior who didn't want to walk long. So she knew to take him back early. She is very personable and caring to make both our fur babies at ease. Thank you!

Ryan helped me with my dog in such a short notice!! Really appreciate his flexibility and patience with my big boy King! He can be very handful for some walkers! He was great with him send such adorable pictures and updates!! My mind was at ease knowing my baby was in good hands!! Would definitely book again and and recommend 100%

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
