I also worked for a year and a half a year caring for horses and ponies, house sat and cared for their dog and cat while they were at horse shows at a place called Fiesta Farms in Knoxville, Tennessee I work 7am-3:30pm in Oak Ridge, am able to care for cats and dogs in the morning before I go to work am I have plenty of time to hang out with them after work. Our dogs and cats sleep with us, I walk our dogs 3 to 4 times a day. We also have a fenced in area in the backyard where we hang out. Lots of loving on and talking with My doggies And cats, they are a part of my life that they’re not happy. I’m not happy.
“Wow! Jill is all kinds of fabulous. We have three dogs that require constant snuggles, pets and play! Jill delivered! I never worried about my fur babies the week we were away. She kept us up to date and didn’t mind when my daughter got sick and needed an extra update of her dog. Would and will book her again without hesitation!”
“Stephanie done a terrific job with all 4 of my babies. They all have a few quirks but she just jumped in and had all 4 attached to her hip. So happy I was able to find such a caring person to watch them while I was away. Highly recommend !”

“We loved getting all the pictures and videos. It was clear that our babies were being well loved in our absence. Joy was very respectful of our home and wishes. Jack and Callie can't wait to have Auntie Joy come back!”

“Allison was extremely communicative and helpful with our pups! She even looked after an eye problem and gave meds 3 times per day for us while we were gone. Would highly recommend!”

“Angela was absolutely amazing. She exceeded our expectations. We are typically very skeptical of meeting new people on Rover. Our dog is just as picky. He took to her right away and couldn't leave her alone. She communicated with us every step of the way. She sent pictures and updated us as she came and went. She left our home in the same condition it was in when she left. We will most definitely be using her in the future! Thank you again so much Angela!”

“Jasmine was amazing, once again! The cats look happy and that’s the most I can ask for. She even brought in our mail and packages, which was super helpful due to all of the holiday mail. Will use her again in the future! I knew my cats were cared for the entire time we were gone for the holidays.”

About: I’ve grown up around animals my entire life and have experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes, from 10-pound lap dogs to 150-pound large breeds. I currently own two cats and have previously cared for a pit bull mix, miniature schnauzer, toy poodle, and many other pets over the years. I have experience with senior pets, anxious/reactive animals, and administering medications both through food and oral syringes. I’m comfortable handling multiple pets at once and have cared for up to five dogs and one cat at the same time. I truly love spending time with animals and enjoy taking dogs on walks and jogs, playing with them, and giving them plenty of affection and attention. I’m dependable, communicative, and always strive to make both pets and owners feel safe and comfortable while in my care. I’m currently a full-time student and work part-time, but pet care is something I genuinely enjoy making time for. With at least two weeks’ notice, I’m able to accommodate my work schedule even more to provide reliable care for your pets. I’m dependable, flexible, and make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, jogs, cuddles, or simply relaxing with company, I’m happy to accommodate their routine and keep you updated along the way. Your pet’s comfort and safety are always my top priorities. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes, including senior pets and anxious/reactive animals, so I understand the importance of patience, awareness, and creating a calm environment. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special routines your pet may need. I’m also a strong communicator and will provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

Whether your pet is perfectly healthy, managing a chronic condition, or just needs a little extra support, I’m confident and comfortable providing high-quality care. Some of the conditions I’ve worked with include diabetes (including insulin administration - and I'm a T1D myself, so you can trust that I truly understand the complicated ins & outs of diabetic care, hypo/hyperglycemia, and monitoring), kidney disease (including administration of subQ fluids), allergies (both skin-related and dietary), and senior pet care. I’m experienced with both oral and injectable medications, and I always prioritize a gentle, stress-free approach. “Five stars isn’t enough — Preston is the real deal. As professional dog daycare and boarding operators, we have extremely high standards for who we trust with our animals and our home. Preston didn’t just meet those standards — he obliterated them. Our four boys were calm, happy, and clearly well-loved when we got home. The house was spotless. And Preston had already handled everything. Here’s what truly set him apart: he noticed an ear infection developing in one of our dogs — something that requires a practiced, attentive eye — arranged transportation to and from the vet, cleaned the ear, and administered the post-visit medication. All on his own. That’s not just good pet sitting. That’s genuine expertise and real initiative. We’ve been in the pet care industry. We know what great care looks like. Preston is the rare kind of sitter you hope exists but rarely find on any platform. If you’re on the fence about booking him — stop deliberating. Book Preston. We won’t use anyone else.”

“She came at last minute request and made herself available for all week. My dog is finicky, so I'm not sure how much interaction they had besides throwing the ball a few times. I didn't get any photos thru the dtay, but she also knew I was at hospital with my mom. Overall , I would use her again in an emergency, but I'm trying to get my dog to be out of kennel completely”
About: I have hands on experience working with animals and been around dogs my entire life! I’m confident in handling all types of personalities in animals. I’ve also helped in basic training with dogs. I have been a volunteer at oak ridge animal shelter in the past and also assisted k9 training here in Clinton, Tn. My goal is to make your pet feel safe and at home in good hands. I have taught my own dog how to sit, roll over, jump through my arms, speak, sit pretty, and spin I am still working on more commands. I would like to become a dog trainer in the future and have always loved dogs! I’m currently a nanny for a 4 year old who goes to school Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 am- 1:00pm. I pickup and drop off so i would have plenty of time throughout the day to stop by and care for your animal! I will follow their normal routine so they feel comfortable and are stress free. In a clients home I will make sure to respect their space and follow all instructions. I can provide updates and pictures of your pets throughout the day as needed! If we are going on a walk I will make sure to keep them safe as if they were my own.
“Sarah was amazing with our dogs, Apollo and Kaiser! She sent regular updates with messages, photos, and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. The dogs enjoyed regular outdoor playtime, and their rooms were left neat and clean. We’re very happy with the whole experience and will definitely book with her again next time!”

“Karen is such a gem! She takes phenomenal care of all my animals (dog, cat, chickens) and is such a great communicator. I always feel like my fur and feather babies are in gentle, caring hands while I’m gone. She’s just the best.”

“Peggy was wonderful with our shy little Chihuahua, Lily. I wanted someone in the house with our fur baby rather than just drop-in visits and it worked out wonderfully! Peggy was very respectful of our house and took good care of Lily. It was a win win situation for me and for Lil. When we got home I could tell that she had been taken care of well as she was happy to see us; but not clingy or nervous. I will definitely have Peggy in our home the next time we are planning to leave town and highly recommend her as your sitter.”
Laurel pet parents share their Rover experiences
Hannah stayed with our 2 dogs and cat while we were gone for 6 days. There are not enough words I can think of to describe how amazing she was!! She sent pictures and updates daily, loved on our fur babies, helped with meds and kept our house clean!! I have so much anxiety when we leave our pets and I had complete peace of mind knowing she was taking such great care of them!!! I would highly recommend Hannah to anyone needing help with their animals!! She will be our first request whenever we go out of town from now on! :) ❤️
