Emma was fantastic! We have five dogs and two cats and I was nervous about leaving the Country for a week. We definitely have a house full and Emma handled everything professionally and treated our dogs like her own. She was very communicative and set pictures often. The house was tidy when we got back and all of our pets where well taken care of. We would 💯 hire Emma again.

Stephanie was great! She stayed at our home for 10 days to take care of our cat, Loki, and did such a great job. Her communication was fantastic — I loved getting photo updates and hearing how things were going while we were away. She’s so sweet, and it was clear that Loki felt comfortable and enjoyed her company. We came home to a happy cat and a tidy home, and I couldn’t ask for better care. Highly recommend her and would definitely book again!

About: I’ve grown up around & with animals. My mother was a vet tech when I was a child so I spent many days in the office helping and loving on pets. At age 10 I started pet sitting inside our home and did until I was 20. These days I spend time with our Frenchie (Lucy) & cat (Mickey) and my kids & partner enjoying the outdoors and time together. I work part time for a local school. I am available for dog walking & doggie/kitty daycare, drop-in visits and boarding on occasion any day of the week. I have live in a great townhome with grassy area that will be used for potty breaks & outside play, always leashed. We can also go for walks in my neighborhood if you prefer them take a walk during their day. I’m also experienced with animals with special needs and medications.

Hannah & Blake took such great care of our 3 dogs while we were out of the country for almost 2 weeks. We have one dog who is a bit particular, so Hannah came over a few times before hand so Millie could get a little bit comfortable with her, and they worked with her to allow her to get to know them and went at her speed! We received updates and photos throughout, and even though we had a time period where we were out of communication range, I felt completely at ease knowing our pups were in good hands. The dogs and house were in fantastic shape when we returned, and we didn't have to do anything to clean up from having someone stay in the home! We would absolutely use Hannah again to dog sit in the future!

About: Hi, I’m Cas – I'm here to keep your pets happy, healthy, and stress-free at home! I’ve worked in animal shelters and as a veterinary assistant, so I’ve had hands-on experience with pets of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs. I’m familiar with canine & feline CPR and first aid, and I have extensive experience stabilizing critically ill and crashing animals. Whether your pet is perfectly healthy, managing a chronic condition, or just needs a little extra support, I’m confident and comfortable providing high-quality care. Some of the conditions I’ve worked with include diabetes (including insulin administration - and I'm a T1D myself, so you can trust that I truly understand the complicated ins & outs of diabetic care, hypo/hyperglycemia, and monitoring), kidney disease (including administration of subQ fluids), allergies (both skin-related and dietary), and senior pet care. I’m experienced with both oral and injectable medications, and I always prioritize a gentle, stress-free approach. I am a Fear-Free Certified professional, I prioritize minimizing stress for pets during interactions. I will work to make every experience as calm and comfortable as possible for your animal. When you entrust me with your animal companion's care, you can expect a reliable, gentle, and knowledgeable approach. I offer pet sitting in your home because I truly believe pets are happiest in the space they know best. I do my best to maintain their routines and provide comfort, enrichment, and calm companionship while you’re away. Looking forward to meeting your pet and making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. Pet care naturally fits into my flexible schedule, which means I can fully adapt to your pet’s needs. Whether it’s early morning feedings, midday playtime, or scheduled medications, I’m able to provide care that matches your animal companion's routine without conflicts or time constraints. The most comforting place for an animal is their own home, surrounded by familiar scents, sounds, and routines. That’s why I offer in-home pet sitting—so your animal companion can stay relaxed and happy in the space they know best. Whether it’s curling up in their favorite sunny spot or sticking to their usual feeding schedule, I make sure everything feels just right while you’re away. My goal is to provide gentle, attentive care that keeps your animal comfortable and your mind at ease.

About: I have three years of caring for homes and pets, offering gentle assistance with light chores and ensuring pets receive their meals and medication with love and attention . Caring for animals is very rewarding for me as they bring me peace and comfort. I feel people have busy lives and their pets deserve to be cared for and nurtured in the process. Well just like people each pet would have specific needs and wants. I would observe the temperament and needs of the pet. I also administer medication and walks/socialization as needed.

About: Hi there! My boyfriend and I live in a pet-friendly apartment, and we’d love to welcome your furry friend into our home. I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, and to me, pets are family—no exceptions. Caring for animals is my passion, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether it’s playtime, belly rubs, or training sessions, I love spending quality time making sure they feel happy, safe, and loved. I also understand how to build trust with new pets, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure in my care. Their well-being is my top priority, so you can rest assured that your pet will receive the same love and attention as my own. I have two dogs who I adore taking on walks, and I honestly feel like it’s almost a crime to go to the park or beach without them! They get multiple walks throughout the day, and on weekends, we love going for hikes. During the weekdays, we visit local parks or dog parks for some fresh air and exercise. When caring for pets, I prioritize attention, activity, and comfort. For example, I recently boarded an energetic young dog overnight. After feeding him the food his owner provided, my boyfriend and I took him to the dog park, where he had a blast running around and socializing for an hour. Afterward, we walked him alongside my dog to help him settle in. At home, I made him a cozy bed in our room, played with him, and showered him with pets and attention to ease any anxiety about being away from his owners. By the end of the night, he insisted on sleeping in bed with us—exception granted! What You Can Expect: ✔️ Daily Walks & Exercise – All dogs go on multiple walks, and weekend stays include a dog park or hiking trip. ✔️ Plenty of Play & Attention – Whether your pet loves to play or just cuddle, I make sure they feel at home. ✔️ Feeding & Special Care – Pets are fed in the morning and around dinner time (or as per your instructions). ✔️ Safe & Comfortable Stay – Dogs are welcome to sleep in my room, but they’re free to find their own cozy spot. ✔️ Cat-Friendly Care – Cats can roam freely, receive fresh litter changes every 1-2 days, and even get a warm cloth bath if needed. I open my home to your pets as if it were their own—it’s always a joy to have them around! I’d love to learn more about your pet’s needs and personality. Let’s chat! I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule to provide plenty of attention and care for pets. My beagle gets regular walks throughout the day, ensuring plenty of exercise and fresh air. On weekends, we love going on hikes or visiting the park for extra adventure and playtime. With my flexible routine, I can easily accommodate your pet’s needs, whether that means scheduled walks, play sessions, or extra cuddle time! Pets in my home are treated like family. My dog, Knox, spends his days napping in his favorite spot, chewing on a bone, or playing hide-and-seek with me. Our apartment is calm and quiet, making it a comfortable space for pets to relax. When Knox isn’t resting, we’re out on walks or enjoying some playtime. Your pet will be cared for with the same love and attention, ensuring they feel safe and at home!

Naomi was the best dog sitter we’ve ever had! She was available so last minute and we had to kept extending our days for a death in the family. It was a tall order because we have 4 dogs with all very different needs. Naomi handled it with ease, was flexible and accommodating, and updated us with pictures daily. We came home to a cleaner house than before, vacuumed floors, Amazon boxes stacked, laundry folded and the dogs were very happy! We could tell she did a great job with our babies!! I will 100% be rebooking with Naomi again. My husband and I are so impressed!!!!

About: I've taken care of dogs from weeks old puppies with routine potty breaks to senior dogs who need extra love and assistance. I've taken care of dogs who weigh a few pounds to 80+lbs dogs who always love to be lap dogs. Friends, family members, coworkers, and bosses have allowed me the joy and privilege to love on their furry family! I enjoy staying active and love to take dogs out for walks, runs, fetch in the yard and playing tug of war. There is never a dull moment, plus I love taking creative photos to send you! Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope to be playing with your pup(s) soon! I work a full-time job in Oak Ridge M-F, but have the flexibility to work remotely when needed and can leave early to let the pups out for a potty break and play time. I am available for weekend stays, week long stays or a schedule that best fits for you. I have a fenced in yard and one cat at home, if you prefer your animal to stay with me. 99% of my experience is staying at clients homes as that provides comfort to your furry family and I can easily stick to their routine.

I can't speak highly enough about the awesome job Lindsey did with my two pooches. She was responsible and very respectful. She stayed in contact with me and did an excellent job communicating with me throughout the stay. She kept the house clean and it was nice to come back to. Because of her, I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing the dogs were in great hands. I would highly recommend her!

FAQs for House Sitting - Fraterville

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 631 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Fraterville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Fraterville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Fraterville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fraterville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fraterville. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
