“Christy is an amazingly kind and thoughtful pet sitter who genuinely loves the cats she visits on check-ins. I knew Ace and Mireille were in good hands with her!”

“Molly is the absolute best! I was Leary about hiring a stranger to come into my home. But Molly is very professional, and she sincerely cares sooooo much about my pet. She explained the ins and outs of the “Rover” policies, which insure a safe experience for both parties. I will recommend Molly to all my friends and family. My kitty and I just love her, and will be hiring her again and again.”

“sara was great with my finicky kitty and quickly won her over! i appreciated the updates and photos, and she even watered a plant for me. i came home to a happy cat☺️ thanks sara!”

“Lauren was fabulous! Definitely 5 Star rating! She was always on time & we got great photos of Lulu! Definitely would recommend her. She went beyond her duties & swept the litter up around the box perfectly & kept uneaten food in the frig which we forgot to tell her to do! Played with Lulu & stayed with her. Thank you Rover for introducing Lauren to us!”

“Abby took care of Mochi attentively and punctually, following the instructions carefully. She played with Mochi and provided daily updates on his status. Communication between us was effective and timely. When I returned home, Mochi was healthy and happy. Thank you Abby for your great work!”

About: I’ve been caring for friends’ and family’s dogs since I was a teen, providing plenty of walks, playtime, and pets. I treat every pet like my own. I’ve worked with a range of ages of dogs. I work from home two days a week, which provides me with flexibility. I am finished in the office by 4pm every day. My weekends are pretty free! In my home, pets have a safe, comfortable space with plenty of attention, playtime, and walks. In a client’s home, I follow routines closely—feeding, walking, and providing affection just as they would so pets feel happy and secure.

“Tonia was great, she dropped in and checked on our cats for a week while we were out of town. She did everything we asked and sent us pics of the kitties! Would recommend!”

About: I am a substitute teacher looking for a summer gig! (Depending on schedule, care could be extended to school year) I grew up with dogs and quite often feel a bond with them. I have more experience walking dogs versus sitting, but am looking to do both. I was recently shown that cats can be alright as well (lol) so I am a newly converted cat lover. I also have some experience with behavioral issues in dogs (biting, growling, etc) I am currently a substitute teacher. I am done with work by about 3 or 4 everyday. During the summer, though, I may not sub at all, so my schedule would be much more open. I cannot host pets at my apartment unfortunately. So I would have to care for your pet at your home. Although I may not have as much pet sitting experience as other pet sitters on Rover, I am a substitute teacher who is responsible for the safety of up to 200 students per day. I am used to thinking and reacting quickly, and being prepared for the worst.

“Ana is amazing! Once again, she was great with our kitty cat Pinky. This time she came to our house everyday to check on her and give her her kitty medicine in her food. She was sweet and kind to Pinky, even when Pinky was not being very friendly because we were gone and she missed us. I think Ana is a cat whisperer!”

“Lucia did a great job taking care of our kitties while we were away! Loved all the photos and updates and it looked like our cats had a good time too. ☺️”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and absolutely love caring for them. Growing up, my family had a dog, and I helped with feeding, walking, and making sure he always felt loved and happy. Later on, I owned a dog with my ex-boyfriend for about two years and still take care of him when needed. I was very involved in raising him from a puppy through his adolescent years, including consistent training, socialization, and lots of playtime. I have experience with basic obedience training, crate training, leash manners, and helping young dogs build confidence. Whether your dog is a high-energy puppy or a laid-back senior, I’m comfortable adapting to their unique personality and needs. I truly enjoy spending time with dogs of all breeds and sizes, and I will care for your pet as if they were my own. I’m currently a grad student, which gives me a flexible schedule to dedicate quality time to pet care. On weekdays, I’m usually available after 12 PM, and I have open availability most weekends. This allows me to plan visits, walks, and overnight stays around your pet’s needs without feeling rushed. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I love spending my free time making sure your dog feels happy, exercised, and well cared for. When I’m house sitting or visiting your home for walks, I make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and relaxed in their own environment. I follow your routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any medication needs. For walks, I always use secure leashes and pay attention to your dog’s comfort and energy level, whether they love a brisk stroll or prefer a leisurely sniff around the neighborhood. During house sitting, I keep your home tidy, provide plenty of companionship, and send updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing while you’re away. My goal is for your dog to feel cared for and loved, and for you to have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands.

In a client’s home, I make sure to keep their space clean and secure while providing companionship and comfort. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, happy, and cared for just like they would with their family.

Annabelle E.
“My daughter, Annabelle, is one of the most responsible and reliable people I know. And when it comes to animals she is one of the most compassionate. Annabelle poured her heart into raising her Kylo. A now 3 year-old very sweet and energetic rescue. At 24 years-old, Annabelle brings a strong sense of maturity to everything she does. She’s currently a hard working student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the U of M. Her maturity, responsibility, and reliability are traits that I know would make her a trustworthy dog walker or sitter. I am confident she would treat every animal she works with with respect and affection. Keeping them both safe and happy.”

Lauderdale dog parents share their Rover experiences
Kennedy dropped in to let out my dog and my daughters’ dogs, while we attended a funeral. I had to add the third dog at the last minute and she was very accommodating. She communicated with me each time she visited. She was reliable and conscientious . I would definitely recommend her.

Anaiah saved the day. Literally. I was experiencing some issues after a major surgery and the Rover person I had scheduled didn't show up so I was desperate. Anaiah was here in twenty minutes to take them out and then came back a little later to take them for a walk. I'm sooooo impressed!

Ximena a did a great job with our two dogs while we were away helping us with drop ins. She was attentive- asking pertinent questions regarding their needs, routines, cares and responsive with any questions we had. She provided updates with each drop in as well as lots of pictures so we knew our pups were thriving and well taken care of in our absence. We have a husky that can be an escape artist and were nervous to use an outside person and her attention to detail made us feel a lot better. We appreciated having her & would use her in the future.

Highly recommend her!! My dog usually is very scared of new people but she did a great job with him! She kept us updated with photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our pup was happy, well-cared for, and clearly loved spending time with her. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking with her again!

My dog Pepper enjoyed the visits Nicholas made to my home while I was away. As a result of my short notice to schedule we didn't have an opportunity for a "meet & greet" before I left. His summaries always included a picture of them having fun together. I felt totally comfortable with Nicholas in my home and taking care of Pepper. I would recommend him to all.

We had a last minute change in our boarding plans for our 75ish lb Rhodesian Ridgeback, Sadie and used Rover for the first time. Cindy came up as someone with glowing reviews and based on that feedback we felt comfortable reaching out to her and inquiring if her schedule worked for the drop in times we needed for Sadie. Cindy was fantastic! She set up a meet and greet with us a couple days in advance of our plans and we walked through where everything was and what Sadie's needs were. When we were gone, Cindy provided us with great updates and several pictures at each visit. Sadie felt well attended to and we felt comfortable knowing her needs were being met while we were away. I can't thank Cindy enough for taking care of Sadie and helping us out in a pinch! Thank you Cindy!

This was our first time hiring an in-home dog sitter through Rover, and Eleanor was perfect! The process of booking was super easy, and she went above and beyond for our senior dog who recently lost her hearing. She sent us lots of photos while we were away, it was so comforting to know our dog could be in her own familiar environment. We highly recommend Eleanor!

Linnea took great care of our senior hound, and was wonderful about updating me (and also patient as this first-time Rover user figured out how to get all the info she was posting!). It was really helpful that she had experience with older dogs. I heartily recommend her services!
