“Xan did an outstanding job taking care of our three cats while we were out of town for a week. They made sure our cats were fed, had fresh water daily, and kept their litter boxes clean. We got regular updates with photos, which was very reassuring. We came home to happy, well-cared-for cats and a tidy house. Absolutely recommend Xan for pet-sitting needs and will definitely book them again. Thank you Xan!”

“Carla took wonderful care of my two cats, one of whom needs medication and is a bit tricky about taking it, while I was away for a weekend. I really appreciated the updates and photos while I was away!”

About: Why will I be your new favorite pet sitter? Your pet’s safety is my top priority. Trust that your good boy will be showered with with love, attention, belly rubs, and walks. General Pet care experience: I’ve been house sitting dogs, with the occasional cat, for ~15 years. From 4 month old puppies, to 120lb senior dogs, I’ve taken care of them all. I also had a stint as a hospice foster. Ive house sat for up to 3 dogs and 1 cat in the residence. Reactive dogs: I adopted a 100lb severely reactive dog (reactive towards animals, not towards humans) so I am very comfortable navigating situations to keep your dog safe and under control. I know how nerve wrecking it can be letting someone look after your reactive dog Medications and bed rest: experience administering oral medication (both pills and liquids) as well as shot administration for both cats and dogs. Cared for dogs on varying degrees of bed rest, ranging from mild bed rest cases all the way to ACL tear recovery and spleen removals. I was a former hospice foster, so I’m very observant when it comes to your pet’s state and will escalate promptly. Caring for your pup: I have potty breaks set as 4-8 hours in the app. Share your dog(s) walk and play needs so that your pup and I can have a great time. If your dog needs more frequent potty breaks, please note the cadence when reaching out. I will always be sure to send you great shots of your buddy throughout the day and will always relay any hilarious pet news I’m very personable and I promise that I will not disappoint you nor your pets! Can’t wait to meet you all soon! I’m a 32 year old consultant who decided to take a recharge leave, providing me with ample time to care for your dog. I’m attentive and love showing your dog a good time! Im also very respectful of your home. No guests whatsoever. I’m a homebody, anyway Restrictions: no dangerous or aggressive dogs who would put my safety at risk. Non-puppies must be potty trained. I strongly prefer non-destructive dogs.

“Sharon paid our 2 cats a few visits (one indoor and one outdoor) over a holiday weekend. She played with the cats and made sure they had plenty of food, even sent us pictures! Very happy with her help and would highly recommend.”

“Grace checked in on our cat twice a day for a week, feeding him his wet food, playing, cleaning his litter box and leaving fresh water. She was very communicative and always on time for the early morning feeds. She cleaned all of our cat’s food dishes and swept up any crumbs from his food and litter box. We very much appreciated her looking after our guy. It was nice not worrying about him while we were gone. Thank you!!”

“Nia was by far the sweetest sitter I’ve had yet! She was very attentive to my baby and even sent tons of videos and pictures as requested. She took her for walks and ensured she had fresh food and water each day. I would not hesitate to use Nia again for my baby!”

About: Hey there – my name is Amber, and I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I come from a long line of breeders and am an experienced sitter whom you can trust to take amazing care of your pup. I take any (and all) opportunities to snuggle and care for dogs. I am patient (especially with the young ones and the seniors), reliable, trustworthy, and flexible. I love having the opportunity through Rover. Any and all instructions you leave for me will be followed with the utmost care to keep your pupper (or senior) safe and happy! I’m currently working from home, so I’m available for a walk (or 3) and have plenty of time to play with and care for your pet. My home is comfortable, clean and chihuahua-to-St. Bernard friendly. I have a large, dog-friendly yard. I can accommodate any breed, age, or energy level. No children yet, so all attention will be on your furry friend. (Ie, tails wag here and aren’t pulled). Happy to coordinate pick up and drop off services in the DMV area. No up-charge for puppies or seniors.

“Sarah went above and beyond the call of duty. She not only fed my cats and ferals with care, but also checked on the Rumba robot, straightened the cameras, and even watered the plants. Her attention to detail and thoughtfulness were exceptional. I highly recommend her.”

“This was the first time having Cam care for my four dogs that are mommy’s heart. I was put at ease right away by how quickly all of them responded to her. They are a discerning bunch and they warmed to her right away. I appreciated the reports and pictures sent with each visit. I have found my new dog nanny. I won’t hesitate to call on her the next time I need care for them. Thanks again Cam!”

“Karleigh was great! Lolah finally warmed up to her, and sometimes cats act weird around strangers, but Karleigh was great at breaking the ice! Really appreciate you Karleigh! Hope to have you over again! Thanks!!”

About: I grew up with a bunch of smaller pets, mostly fish and hamsters, and finally convinced my parents to adopt a dog when I was in high school. I moved away from home and miss her dearly, but I’m excited to bring the patience and love of animals I learned with my pets to yours! I’m experienced with shelter animals after volunteering at one for some time and am so excited to meet your pet! I have a 55 pound standard poodle named Roshe that I adopted in 2023, and will need to have a meet and greet before hosting your pet. I work full time, but can work from home 2-3 days a week, and my fiancée works from home all of the time, making it easy for the two of us to care for your pets! I've walked a variety of dogs at my local animal shelter for some time and can handle pets with a variety of needs. I'm pretty active and can get your dog all of the exercises they need while keeping them safe.
