“Kenzie went above and beyond! She took care of our pup like she was her own. She was even kind enough to add on my mom’s dog last minute for the check ins. She spent so much time caring and loving on them. We came home to happier dogs then when we had left.”

“I couldn't be more pleased with the care Emily gave to my cat while I was away. She was very well taken care of and I especially loved the daily updates and pictures she sent. Thank you again for the care you provided for Sadie!”

“Katie was great with our girl Zoey! She kept in touch, sent pictures, and even brought her a toy after Zoey annihilated all of hers. Will definitely request to use Katie again on our next trip!”

“Liz was amazing! I had to leave my little old lady kitty for an extended time and she required meds twice a day for her thyroid. Having Liz checking in and sending photos made my time away less stressful.”

“Laurie stepped in for us last minute and was both prompt and efficient. She kept us updated throughout and sent plenty of photos of our pups while we were out of town, which we really appreciated.”

About: Hello, my name is Anne, but you can call me Annie! I’m 24 years old and recently earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida. I’ll soon be working toward my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My passion for helping others extends to animals, and I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I’ve been around dogs since I was 7 years old, when I got my first dog, and since then I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for pets in both professional and personal settings. I’ve worked at an exotic pet store and at two dog daycares, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. I also have experience with basic training and understand the importance of consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement. Every pet has their own unique personality, and getting to know what makes them feel happy, safe, and loved is my favorite part of pet care. Whether your pet loves to play, explore, cuddle, or simply relax with a calm companion, I’ll care for them with the same patience, kindness, and attention I’d want for my own. I am a college graduate now pursuing my masters in mental health counseling online so I have plenty of time to dedicate to giving your pets love. I live in a two story home with a fenced in back yard and a screened in porch. I currently have an almost 2 year old golden retriever that loves other dogs. While I do not provide boarding at this time, I am willing to bring my dog per clients' request if your dog needs a friend!
About: I’ve been caring for pets for the past 4 years and truly enjoy spending time with animals of all sizes and personalities. Friends, family, and neighbors trust me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their pets while they’re away. I’m patient, dependable, and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I can also help with basic care, senior pets, medication reminders, and keeping pets active and happy throughout the day. I am currently working part time so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I have a flexible schedule and make sure pets get plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. I’m dependable, responsive, and committed to keeping pets comfortable and happy while their owners are away. I have a secure fenced-in yard where pets can safely play and enjoy outdoor time under supervision. I also have two friendly dogs and a cat who are comfortable around other animals, helping create a welcoming and social environment. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities, and I make sure every pet feels loved and cared for while in my home.
“I can not thank them enough. Our pet sitter canceled last minute and they stepped up and took such great care of of our elderly cat. They truly treated her as one of their own pets. Will definitely use them again.”

“Michelle is amazing! She is very reliable, responsible, and incredibly kind. She took great care of my cat and gave me peace of mind while I was away. It’s obvious that she truly cares about animals. I would happily trust her with my cat again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter. 🐱💕”

“Britney did an amazing job taking care of my dogs while I was away. I was a little apprehensive of the whole concept of a stranger at first, but she immediately put me at ease with her communication and how attentive she was. My dogs were happy, well cared for, and clearly comfortable with her. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will 100% be using her again. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I was born into the animal rescue field, I was trained at a young age how to handle all types of animals, how to train them and treat them medically. I'm well versed in the medical aspect of pet caring and mental care. I can give oral and injectable meds. I've raised many puppies who have been adopted, pet sat hundred's of dogs and would love the opportunity to care and sit for yours as well. I have 2 very friendly dog who loves playmates. We also have 2 cats and 2 kids who are very good around animals. We require a meet and greet for all dogs except puppies under 6 months. All dogs over 6 months who stay with us need to spayed or neutered and up to date on rabies flea and tick meds. If choosing us, during a meet and great we will have you bring your dog(s) into our yard where we will have you meet one of our two dogs. If cat testing is needed we can do that on our patio. We don’t allow clients in our home for safety purposes. For drop off and pick up please contact us from the driveway and we will come out to retrieve your pet(s) and their items. This has proven to be best for all the animals with acclimating. When providing food for your pet it is preferred if you baggie up each meal separately to make meal times easier. Dogs must be dog friendly as this is a full time business and we can’t guarantee your pet(s) will be the only ones here unless previously discussed and will incur additional fees. Please consider us for your next pet sitting need no job is to big! We will even do some pet training if need be. I am a stay at home mom, besides the typical trip to the grocery store or a trip to a play ground or random doctors appointment we are home a lot and would be with your pet giving he or she tons of love. Your pet will be treated like one of the family’s. Belly rubs and kisses are free. My yard is fenced and dog proof. If they need to be crated I always recommend bringing your own because they are more comfortable but one can be provided. Dogs get accompanied outside for potty breaks as much as needed and desired. Fresh water is always available and theres always a comfy spot for a nap. Dog’s will never be left unattended around the children or other dogs in the home. The whole house is set up and equipped for dog sitting.
“My animals love Serena. They don’t even notice when I’m gone thanks to this lovely lady! It’s made seeing family and traveling for work a breeze! I always get amazing pictures and updates of my babies during Serena’s visits and it’s a huge help and pleasure to have her every time!”

“Teri was terrific with our little man. We are visiting Florida so was unsure how it would work in our rental but it was great! She even gave him a new toy! Will definitely request her again when we need good care for Deuce.”

About: Caring for animals has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve had pets my entire life and understand how much they mean to their families. I’m comfortable caring for cats and dogs and always make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for. In my local community, I also help care for feral cats by feeding them and humanely trapping them so they can be neutered. This helps keep the population under control and improves their quality of life. It’s something I care deeply about and it reflects how much I value animal welfare. I’m dependable, patient, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company while you’re away, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m currently retired, so pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I’m available most days and times unless I’m already booked, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, care, and companionship. Because I have a flexible schedule, I’m able to accommodate feeding times, walks, playtime, and check-ins that match your pet’s normal routine. My goal is to make sure your pet feels comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I follow the routines and instructions provided by each owner so pets feel secure in their familiar environment. I take time to build trust with each pet and pay close attention to their behavior and needs. I make sure they have fresh water, proper feeding, exercise, and lots of attention. I treat every home with respect and every pet like they are part of my own family. 🐾

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lake Mack-Forest Hills. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
