100% recommend Kellie! I have two high energy/anxiety dogs, and they were perfect angels for her the entire time we were gone. She kept me updated with photos and videos, and took such a weight off my mind while I was enjoying my vacation. I knew my babies were safe at home and being loved on. Would definitely have her come stay again!

McKenna was amazing! This was my first time leaving my pups home for the weekend and having someone come house sit. McKenna helped put my mind at ease when we did the meet and greet. One of my pups left an unexpected surprise (my pup threw a tantrum and destroyed a furniture) for McKenna and she was so nice and cleaned it up for me. I came home to happy pups and I would recommend her. I’d have her back!

Our second time booking Alyssa and it was just as great as the first. She’s so patient with our little rescue Chiweenie and will absolutely be our go-to sitter going forward. I’d give her 100 stars if I could. ❤️

Whitney is amazing. She took excellent care of Howie. Never has he received so much attention and pets. She also gave him his medicine and took him for walks. He was very spoiled. If you want someone to take great care of your pet, you should hire Whitney.

Wes was great with all three of my dogs. He did a meet and greet prior to staying with them. He is caring and has compassion for the dogs. They felt at home with him and even my timid pup warmed up to him quickly. He gave my older pup his pain medicine. He’s great with young and old dogs. He reached out quickly when one of my dogs was acting ill. He left my home in excellent condition as well. Thank you, Wes, for caring for my pups when I had to be away for work.

My experience with Melody was fantastic she went above and beyond, truly the best pet sitting experience I have had. This was a super last minute booking after my previous sitter cancelled and she responded immediately and was willing to take over and show up instantly. She was super communicative and made me feel very comfortable, even going as far as giving me updates when she was leaving the house for less than 30 minutes. Not only did she send plenty of adorable photos of my cats but she cleaned up as well leaving my house in better shape than I left it. I would recommend Melody in a heartbeat she is the best.

About: I have a tremendous love and respect for all animals. My attentive nature surges when in the presence of any animal… they are all I care about! I have been taking care of my family and friends pets for years! I can do special instructions with medicine for animals as well. I am currently working at Starbucks as a barista. My store that I work at is only 5 mins from my apartment. My shifts are normally no longer than 6 hours, and my boyfriend is home full time as well. Besides from work I am always home! I live in a cozy apartment with two of my own little kitties! I have a soft, large, playpen enclosure for your pet if needed, but my kitties are pretty friendly!

Aoife gave us a wonderful gift: She cared for our pups and home is such a way that we felt comfort and great confidence and this was our first experience together! Our little dogs are fragile medically and we are so pleased that not only were their medical needs met but their emotional needs as well. They seem completely relaxed with us home and not with the usual transition stress. Thank you Aoife.

About: I am a remote worker with extra time available. I grew up with labs and Shih Tzus as well as cats. I've been dog sitting for the past 8 years and have done volunteer camps at the Willamette Humane Society. I am pretty flexible this summer for house sitting, dog walking, or drop ins. I can feed, walk, play with, cuddle, or even bathe your dog! I'm an animal lover and would be fine with other pets at the house, too. Watching and caring for dogs, cats or other pets is something I love to do on its own, aside from it being a "job." This would be a great way to spend my time. I am currently working part time, so will have time most days for drop ins, walks, etc. I am also available some weekends, as well. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats at home. If your pet is friendly, then it could be an option for them to come stay at my house.

I don’t even know where to begin. My husband and I rarely go on trips together. We have three dogs, they are all different ages with different care levels, and finding someone to care for them has always been challenging. Our family planned to go on an Alaskan cruise, and we decided to join them. We reached out to Karen and she was SO responsive. She got back to us quickly and agreed to do a meet and greet. Our dogs LOVED her immediately. We have a 6 year old street dog whom we rescued from Mexico. He is very sweet but is slow to warm up to people. Within a few minutes of Karen being at the house he was begging her for pets. It was decided right then that Karen would be watching our fur babies. Fast forward a few weeks and we are all lined up and ready to go on our trip. We’ve done a pack walk with Karen and have walked her through their daily needs. Karen is very thorough and wants as much information about your pets as she can get. To make sure everyone was good to go, my husband and I took our senior dog to the vet to get her arthritis shot. We wanted to make sure she would be comfortable while we were gone. At the vet appointment, we got heartbreaking news. Our veterinarian had a difficult and honest conversation with us about our dog’s health and quality of life. Our senior was 19 years old and had started experiencing some cogitative decline and mobility issues. After several long discussions and uncertainty about our pup’s health while we would be gone, we decided it was time to allow our sweet baby to cross the rainbow bridge. We were devastated and, as you could imagine, were experiencing some anxiety and uncertainty about leaving the other two dogs. When we explained to Karen what happened, she provided so much comfort and security. She let us know that there wasn’t any pressure to go on the trip and assured us that if we did, she would make sure our dogs were well loved on. We ended up going to Alaska. During our trip, Karen sent us photos and videos, and made sure to give us daily updates. If we request additional photos or videos, she always sent them no questions asked. She went out of her way to make us feel at ease, and it really helped give us the space and peace of mind to process everything that happened. Having Karen care for our fur babies not only allowed us to go on a family trip, it’s also allowed us to grieve our loss without having to carry the stress of the day-to-day and making sure the other dogs were taken care of. It goes without saying, but we will definitely book with Karen again. If you’re considering hiring Karen for your pets, I highly recommend it. You will be a so happy you did. Thank you Karen. We truly appreciate you, and the love and care you extend to Doodle and Wendi while we were gone.

It can be a bit scary to trust a brand new person with your house and your dog, but upon meeting LJ I knew I could be at peace while I was away. LJ was a fantastic dog and house sitter, easily reachable, and always providing updates on our baby girl. Our dog can have issues with other dogs but LJ and LJ’s pup both really navigated Leia’s dog insecurities and helped her feel safe while we were away. I will definitely be going back to LJ for future dog and house sitting!!

We are so happy we found Wes to come stay with our pets while we're away. He has a great way with the dog and even our very shy cat. He kept in touch with us and regularly sent photos and videos. (As a bonus the photos were really, really good. We didn't realize a professional photo shoot would be included, lol.) Upon our return we found the house clean and tidy and possibly better than we left it. (Did he talk the pets into not shedding while we were gone?) It's always challenging finding reliable house/petsitters; we are so relieved we've got Wes in our contact list now and will definitely try to book him again for the next vacation.

FAQs for House Sitting - Labish Village

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Labish Village on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 1,389 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Labish Village. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Labish Village walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Labish Village maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Labish Village choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Labish Village. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 90% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
