“Our booking with Kylie went great. The communication was excellent, we received plenty of great photos and our dogs genuinely looked comfortable and happy. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!”

“We used Rachel for the first time this week and will definitely be continuing to book with her in the future!! Our kitty loved her and she had great communication. Highly recommend!!!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over 5 years through family, friends, and neighbors. I’m experienced with feeding routines, daily walks, playtime, cleaning up after pets, and providing plenty of love and attention while owners are away. I can comfortably administer oral medications, perform basic grooming like brushing and wiping paws, and I’m attentive to each pet’s unique personality and routine. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. Currently I am working from home which will allow for me to be as flexible as needed to watch all of your furry friends whenever necessary! I ensure that pets in both my home and my friends or clients' homes receive attention and loving care, tailored to their individual needs and routines.
“Morgan was FANTASTIC! I had never left my cat with anyone except my best friend and was extremely nervous about traveling for the holidays after she moved away. Morgan's expertise and care made it possible for my girl to stay in her comfort zone, and for me to be with family without severe anxiety. He communicated clearly and often, gave me great updates (and photos!), and was the perfect mix of professional and personable. He took plenty of time with her even when he came out on Christmas Day. He clearly understood cat psychology and Cleo adored him for it (I'm a little shocked because she does not typically warm up to people that quickly at all!). All in all I could not be more thrilled to have found a trustworthy source of care for my baby girl, and will definitely be using Morgan again in the future! 🧡”

“Aleyah was amazing with my Puppy! He really enjoyed her checking in on him. She walked him, fed him and took the time to play with him. I'll definitely book again! Thank you so much!”

“Thank you, Amanda for taking great care of my pups! You work with such compassion and care of animals, especially my crazy ones. Highly recommend Amanda if you’re looking for someone who treats your animals like her own with patience and respect.”

“Christina, thank you for taking good care of Kiko. When I got home he was so happy and I can see he had fun with you. I will definitely reach out to you again when we need to travel. Excellent care ?”

About: Growing up with dogs all my life along with my animal science major I well versed in medication routines, early morning to late night potty breaks, special dietary needs to the ones who have been loved past their youth and need a little extra care. I’ve been bit, scratched, slobbered and thrown up on and there is nothing too much to handle I’m working part time at a restaurant however I am more than willing to make time during off days for your fur-babies, walks and regular exercise, quick check ins and long stays I will make time to do. Pets are watched closely, mostly nearly medication administration and meal time. If desired I can feed at specific times and can adapt a medication schedule periodically for any and all fur babies.
“Victoria and Ryan are always flexible and available to take care of our Percy. They have been patient with Percy since his 4 month puppy days to his teenage puppy months!”

“Scherry is amazing. She helped me out so much. I just got a new puppy but i had to go out of town at the last minute to see my son. I wasn’t sure anyone would be able to help with such short notice. Scherry not only said she could help but she kept contact with me the entire time and made me feel comfortable. She was on time and took pictures to send me. I was sure my puppy was in good hands. I truly appreciate such great service and I would highly recommend her to anyone.”

About: I’ve been passionate about animals my entire life, and I’ve had the joy of caring for a wide variety of pets over the years. From my very first fish and family cats to now raising three wonderful dogs and my beloved cat, Willow, I’ve developed a deep love and understanding of animals. With years of hands on experience, I know how to provide pets with the attentive, loving care they deserve. I also have recently started the Vet Assistant program at CSM to help further my career in animal care. Whether it’s feeding, grooming, or simply offering comfort and companionship, I treat every animal as if they were my own. With an open and flexible schedule, I’m excited to finally pursue my true passion, working with animals. I have over 6–8 years of experience in pet care and pet sitting, and I’ve cared for a wide variety of animals, from snakes, rabbits, and newborn kittens and puppies to farm animals like pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, and geese. I am also pursuing a career in veterinary medicine! Whether I’m pet sitting or simply helping an animal in need, I do it out of genuine love and compassion. You can feel confident knowing your pet is in caring, capable hands, I’ll treat them like family. All of my pets are fed twice a day with portions based on their weight, and grooming is a regular part of our routine. My biggest dog gets bathed as often as he’ll let me, and the others are brushed regularly because of their long fur. My cat gets her weekly brushing too, and I clip claws as needed! While I don’t need to walk my dogs since we have a fenced yard with a doggy door, I still love taking them on walks around the neighborhood. And of course, playtime is a daily must because let’s be honest, who doesn’t love that?
“With a little puppy I’ve found it impossible to leave the house. Samantha made it possible caring for my babies. I thank her for taking all the chaos in stride and I appreciate the care and attention.”

About: I’ve grown up with multiple dog breeds my whole life. I’ve also owned cats, guinea pigs, and hamsters. I have 2+ years of experience with taking care of bearded dragons and I’ve had a couple visits with snakes, specifically corn snakes. I work with any and all dogs/cats. I also like to send pics/videos of the pets to their owners daily for that reassurance that their fur baby is taken care of with the upmost care! I’m currently a full-time college student. I’m available any day and any time of the week. I’m usually available last minute as well and around holidays if needed. I currently have 4 dogs; 3 Yorkies and 1 Boarder Collie mix. They’re set on a twice per day feeding and their internal clock is set to those times. If I were to be in a clients home, I would do my best to ensure the animal stays in their routine and their feeding/medication is on schedule. They’d get plenty of play times and unlimited cuddles!
“Casey was phenomenal with our pup! Loved being able to communicate with her and she even sent the cutest photos of our pup! I will definitely be using Casey for all of our future drop in, babysitting, and doggie care! Thank you Casey !!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - La Plata
Kylie is absolutely the best cat sitter we have ever used! I would give her 6 stars if I could. We have a senior Russian Blue who is very skittish around visitors. She took to Kylie after her first visit. This was an absolute first in 15 years! It was very relieving to see how happy and well-cared for our 2 cats were by Kylie while we were away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
