About: I take care of other people’s pets like I would want someone to take care of my two fur babies! I’ve worked with cats, dogs, lizards, and exotic birds. I was a keeper at a wildlife ranch and have also worked at a pet resort so I have experience with a little bit of everything, and there’s nothing that can surprise me! I’m currently unemployed but applying for jobs, I love animals and have a passion for working with them so I will make time for the clients that need help. I have experience crating/kenneling cats and dogs and have worked with a diverse range of breeds as well so I understand needs look differently for every animal.
“Kathleen is amazing! She was warm and loving towards my babies. I felt so comfortable that she was taking great care of my boy while we were away. I loved how accessible she was and that she would send me pictures of my baby every day. This was my first experience using this app and I have been raving about it to all my friends with pets. I would highly recommend both Kathleen and Rover. To actually feel comfortable leaving my fur babies while on vacation is priceless.”
“Kayla was absolutely amazing! She did everything to make sure I felt comfortable. This was the first time we leave our babies with someone other than my mother-in-law. Made sure we got pictures and videos of our babies having a good time. Would definitely recommend for anyone worried about leaving their babies with someone else. Can’t wait to book again.”

“Sarah was fabulous! We did a meet and greet prior to her coming so she could meet the pups. She is super sweet and very communicative. We got pictures each visit and she definitely did a great job. We will be using her again in the future.”

“Andrea sends lots of photos and is excellent at replying to my texts! Most importantly, she takes wonderful care of our 2 boys! You can tell she is an animal lover! When I need a sitter while we are in town with our RV, I will try to get Andrea. Thanks for your great service!”

About: I know how stressful it can feel to leave your pet with someone new. My goal is to give you peace of mind by treating your pet like they're part of my own family. I am a certified Vet Asst with a lifetime of pet experience. After years of caring for pets, I've learned that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to make sure each pet feels understood. I currently have 3 dogs and 8 cats, including a few fosters. Pet care is my full-time job, so I am available throughout the day. During each visit, your pet will get more than just the basics. They'll get attention, playtime, enrichment, and the care they're used to receiving at home. You can expect clear communication, timely updates, and plenty of photos so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing while you're away. I don't just see pets as another booking on my calendar. I see them as family members who deserve patience, attention, and care.

“Stacy is amazing!! I always come home to happy cats. She's been very flexible, and always follows instructions exactly. She even helped raise a litter of kittens, all were adopted healthy and happy! Highly recommend her as a sitter, she'll always be our first choice :).”

About: Hi. Our first dog when I was 6, aLab. An Irish Setter joined the family about 7 years later. Since then more dogs and then during the last 5 years some casual cats. I do some driving for my two sons, school, work, and such but the rest of my days are mine. Early AMs not a problem and preferably not later than 10PM. I am currently only offering dog walking and check in visits. Mentally healthy dogs like me. I'm also pretty good connecting with not-so-mentally-healthy dogs. I'm pretty empathic.
“Elizabeth is wonderful. She took very care of my cat Grayson. He was timid at first but she was able to win him over a little bit. It's obvious by her care that she loves animals, especially cats! She kept me informed of her visits and sent pictures so I knew he was doing great. I will have her take care of Grayson again and I know I won't have to worry about him!”

“We love Katy! I have a special needs cat and she handled him with no problem (other than a little cat wrangling him from a few hiding spots!) She responded and communicated with us very well and I can't give enough stars. Thank you Katy!!!”

“Robin was awesome with my cat Peanut! Always on time, great pictures, and super considerate. One of my smoke alarms started beeping while I was away, and it was stressing out my girl, so Robin let me know and we worked together via text to get the smoke alarm sorted. She even put on the TV as background noise afterward to help Peanut feel better. That was above and beyond and I could not have been more grateful. I can definitely recommend her for anyone looking for a great pet sitter that will provide peace of mind while you're away.”

About: With 21 years of military service, I bring a unique blend of commitment, discipline, and attention to detail to every aspect of my life. I grew up as part of the Future Farmers of America (FFA), where I gained extensive hands-on experience in raising pets. This foundation in animal care has shaped my practical approach to dog and cat husbandry. Currently, I maintain a diverse array of animals, including a black lab that I personally trained for duck hunting, a cat I’ve leash-trained to go on walks, a turtle, and a small-scale quail farm. My experience has taught me the importance of precision and organization, which I apply to managing my pets, ensuring everything is in top shape and that the animals receive the best care possible. I finish my workday in the early afternoon on weekdays, and I prioritize your pet during my free time. Your pet’s care will always be my top focus. I’m also available for early morning visits to accommodate your schedule. I treat our pets like family. Without children of our own, our 'fur babies' are everything to us. I care for every animal as if they were my own, ensuring they receive the same love, attention, and care that I give to my own pets.
“Tanya went above and beyond to make us feel safe about leaving our beloved cat. More than anything we appreciated that she didn’t just do the bare minimum- she spent quality time with him and engaged. On top of all that, we returned to a home that was cleaner than when we left and a very happy feline. We will definitely be returning clients.”

Toni was wonderful with my babies! She accepted the job on very short notice, saw to them twice a day, and always texted me as to how they were doing. She gained GeishaGurl's trust so quickly she even got a BOOP! out of her, 😆!! Will most definitely utilize her services again. Thanks, Toni!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
