“Stephanie did an excellent job dropping in to take care of our cat! Pepper is elderly and very timid but warmed up quickly. Stephanie went above and beyond and even brought in some big packages that were delivered while we were gone. She was great at sending pictures and updating us on how Pepper was doing while we were out of town for a week. We would definitely trust Stephanie to take care of Pepper next time we are away!”

“Cody was amazing with our two dogs, Tessie and Rosie. She made sure they were walked and okayed with and went to the bathroom…not easy with one of our two! She took a lot of photos and I can tell my dogs had so much fun with her. We will definitely want Cody to care for our pups again!”

“I highly recommend Carrie as a pet sitter. She did a wonderful job looking after our cats. Communication was great from the start to the end. We had a meet up prior to our departure for an introduction and to review feeding instructions, which went seamlessly and received updates throughout with week. When we arrived home, our cats were happy. It was comforting to know that our boys were being cared for by a kind, attentive, and affectionate person. I will definitely be using Carrie again!”

“Nicole took wonderful care of our pets and kept us up to date with messages and pictures. She was very responsive and caring. We have lots of cats of various ages and on different diets and we felt very confident that she could manage it all. She took our dog for nice long walks. I would highly recommend Nicole if you want a mature, kind and responsible pet sitter who can handle multiple pets with medication or special diets, in addition to company and love. Knowing she was taking care of our pets helped me relax and enjoy our family vacation.”

“Dale is a wonderful pet caregiver. My elderly pet needed special care and attention and Dale really helped ease my concern leaving her. I highly recommend Dale. She is kind, attentive and responsive.”

About: I have taken care of dogs for almost ten years with services including pet sitting and walking. I’ve watched up to 3 dogs at one time. I work full time but am available mornings, evenings and weekends for walks. My schedule is more flexible for pet sitting since I work remotely. I will always make sure your pet is as safe as can be on our walks or while watching them! I will provide the best care for them.

“Gavin was wonderful with my dogs. He arrived on time, made sure they got plenty of outside time, and even brought in a package from my front steps. I am very glad to have Gavin available to watch my boys when I need to be away.”

About: I love dogs and have a beautiful 7.5 yo 1/2 Lab 1/2 GSP of my own who I fostered and then adopted February 2018; she will gladly keep your dog company and busy playing at my home. I have a large fenced in back yard 2 miles from downtown Portsmouth with plenty of room for the dogs to play and run around in. I work from home, and have some time on my hands to give lots of love and attention to your dog/dogs for the time being. I will only take up to 2 dogs (over 2 years of age only for both daycare and boarding!) in at a time for day care and 1 or 2 for boarding so your dog will get plenty of love and one on one attention. You can rest assured knowing I will care for your pets better than most. When I am walking your dog, I will engage with them, give them loads of attention, and will not be looking at/reading my phone! There are toys and tennis balls for them to play with in the yard and they will be let out every 2 hours for potty breaks and play, and can lounge around on the couches if they feel like it too. If they are 100% with recall, we go for trail enrichment hikes/ walks otherwise they can be walked on leash around my neighborhood. At bed time, I play soft spa like music so the pups can sleep well and comfortable. I would like to have a meet and greet with all dogs and owners before they board at my home. My daycare rates are for up to 8 hours per day. If you drop your dog off at 8:30am, the dog must be picked up by 4:30pm otherwise you will be charged another half day rate. Latest pickup is 6:30pm. After 6:30pm it becomes an overnight boarding. Unfortunately, I cannot take any dogs in that show any signs of aggression. Thank you for understanding. I am currently working from home, and also own my own business so as long as I am home and not traveling I am here for the dogs most of the day. We cater to dogs that need a little extra support and don’t do well in a chaotic kennel environment, which is why it is more of a “boutique “service. (1:1) At the most, I might pop out for an hour but the dogs will not be left alone for more than an hour or 2 max. I have a large crate here if your dogs likes to be crated. I am not currently housesitting, only taking dogs in at my home. I do not book out months in advance. I generally only book out one or two months in advance. I am currently not booking for 2026. I will start booking for 2026 in November 2025. I let the dogs out every couple of hours for potty breaks and play. I will only take in 2-3 dogs max for daycare at a time and one or two dogs at a time for overnights, as to not overwhelm any of the dogs. This is a relaxed stress free environment for the dogs.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. I have also grown and had almost every household pet you can think of! I live in Portsmouth NH. I work from home 3 out of 5 days but can be very flexible about not going into the office. I have my own vehicle and am able to do drop ins during the day! I typically spend at least 30 minutes to an hour for drops. This would consist of letting your dog outside when I get there/ walking them. Then feeding them their meals and making sure they get to go back outside before I leave. I do not let dogs play 30 minutes before or after they eat just to be safe. Of If I am spending the night with your pet, I am more than happy to hang out at your house and watch a movie with your fur babies!

About: I've taken care of family and friends' cats and dogs since I was a kid, from dropping in for a walk to full time care for weeks at a time, so I've got a good grasp on pet care :) I work part time in a restaurant so I might not always be able to meet a strict feeding time in the evening, but I can always come before or after I'm good at reading animal behavior to avoid dangerous situations, I value creating trust with any pet, I love following directions, and I'm good at communicating if something feels concerning.

About: I have taken care of my own dog for three years in that time I have also helped take care of other animals for friends and family What I am looking for with pet care is to help add money to my college fund. I work part time as a waiter at a country club in York. This will help fulfill my time on my off days This is my first time pet caring outside of my friends and family circle but I love animals and would care for yours like my own giving them everything they need and more

About: I was notorious for bringing home stray animals as a child, my parents weren’t a big fan. My heart couldn’t take a animal being on its own. Once I got to the age of working, I jumped right into house sitting animals. I’ve been doing it for 11 years. I’m currently working part time in the evenings and have most mornings free. My schedule is open for talking about what care is needed for your pet. Traveling to your home is best for me, I do not have a pet friendly house set up currently. The animal is always more comfortable in its own environment so I’ve found. I’m all about low stress environments for them.

About: Hi! Heya! Hello! Are you looking for someone to care for your pet while your away? Well you've found them! Fun, energetic animal lover who can't wait to meet your pet! Drop-ins and Walking! Volunteer work with B.A.R.K, S.P.C.A, as well as experience working as a kennel assistant at Holiday Barn Pet Resort. Why I love dog sitting? I've always gravitated towards animals; I was that kid who brought home any animal that crossed my path, feeding strays, foresting. Growing up in a home where the pet to human ratio always favored pets, pet sitting is second nature to me. My experience administering medication I've done my fair share of administering medication to all sorts of animals. I am able to administer oral, injections, topical ointments, as well as suppositories. I currently work a dual remote position at NHPBS and have the flexibility to work from home which allows me ample time to provide the attention and care your pet requires. I’ll be an extension of your home and care. The goal is to provide a safe environment where your pet feels loved and has an enjoyable stay until your return.

About: Im up early as a teacher and home by 3. My dog Genie could use a play pal if considered or maybe solo is more your dog style. Personal Policies: *please contact me with dates and TIMES* for your pets needs.* *24 hour service includes 3 checkins* *transparency is a must-i.e is your dog questionable around kids? *willing to negotiate prices- do you have more than one animal that needs care?/ off site terms* *happy to send photos and check ins of your pets Im currently working as an art teacher so im generally home by 3. About: Caring for animals is what I love to do. With an extensive background in animal care, I have worked at animal shelters, humane societies, zoos, aquariums, and many wildlife rehabilitation centers throughout my life. I have cared for animals of all shapes and sizes ranging from dogs to birds to tortoises and even to gorillas. Of course, I have had furry friends of my own and currently own the cutest little kitty, Sprout. I grew up with my childhood pups, Rosie and Moses. They always enjoyed cuddling up on the couch next to me, loved taking weekend trips to the dog park, and they especially always looked forward to some new fluffy toys that they could destroy. I don't want to use the term spoiled, but my animals are just that, and I will treat your pets as if they were my own. I just moved to the area so my schedule is very flexible during the week and I can help take care of your furry friend whenever needed. I am also always available anytime on the weekends. Your pet will be treated as a part of my furry family. I provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment for your pet, ensuring they feel at home while you're away. This includes lots of play time and plenty of affection, and yes all pets are allowed to cuddle up on the couch or sleep in the bed at my house. I also follow any specific routines or special care instructions to keep your pet happy and healthy.

“Our 12yr old dog Murray has recent mobility issues, so taking him to a daycare on days he’s alone for an extended period is no longer an option. Barbara came to our house for an initial meet & greet with Murray, and he immediately loved her. When we booked Barbara for a visit on a day when our family was out, she came at the appointed time to give him lots of love and attention, and even coaxed him outside for some fresh air. He was smiling in every photo! We’ll definitely be using Barbara for future visits.”
