About: What sets me apart is the combination of experience, intuition, and calm presence I bring to every animal I care for. I’ve trained my own husky from puppyhood and lived with cats my whole life, so I understand a wide range of behaviors and needs. I don’t rush animals—I read their cues, build trust, and adjust to their comfort level. Whether it’s a long walk or quiet company, your pet will get thoughtful, grounded care that helps them feel safe and understood. Caring for animals is already part of my everyday life. My own husky keeps me on a steady rhythm of walks, play, and feeding, so adding more pets into that flow feels natural. I plan my day around their needs—morning exercise, midday check-ins, and relaxed evening wind-downs—so your pet’s routine will fit smoothly into mine. I care for pets in their own home the same way I care for mine—with respect, consistency, and calm energy. I follow your instructions closely to keep their routine familiar and stress-free. That means keeping feeding times, walks, and play sessions on schedule, giving plenty of attention, and leaving your space as neat as I found it. My goal is for your pets to feel safe and relaxed until you’re home again.

About: I've been an animal lover as long as I can remember. When I was 9 years old, my Dad got me my first Golden Retriever for Valentine's Day 1998. Her name was Star. I wanted a Golden because I fell in love with Shadow from "Homeward Bound". Star was my best friend, and we trained together in Canine Good Citizenry and agility. She could jump through hula hoops, over my arm, and she knew all sorts of tricks. I also love horses and used to spend summers and spring breaks on my cousin's farm in Apopka, Florida where she was the Barn Manager for a gal who rode in the Irish Olympics for the Equestrian Team. I had my own horse when I was younger, but we sadly had to sell her when my mother passed away when I was 9 years old. I've had dogs and cats off and on my entire life, but sadly, I just recently moved to Oregon and do not have any pets of my own right now for a few reasons: The first is that I'm working diligently to get established in Oregon and currently have a Mon-Thursday schedule with the City of Salem that requires me to be away from home for over 10 hours a day. Second, my roommate has a sick and aging cat who is not doing well, and we do not want to stress him out by adding pets to the house right now. Hopefully, my roommate will be able to reconsider when things change, but for now, Bok Choy (and his comfort) is our main priority at my house. Third, I'm hoping to move my Dad out to Oregon within the next 3 years, but for now, he is living alone as a retiree in Georgia, where I grew up. He is very attached to our dog Hank, and even though I'm definitely Hank's favorite person, I couldn't stand the thought of separating those two because I felt like my Dad needs Hank more than I do as Hank is his reason to get up in the morning! I miss Hank more than words can express, but I think we made the right call because Hank does not like being alone, and Dad can accommodate this as he is retired whereas I am in the main career years. I have previous dog sitting experience, but sadly, my identity was hacked, and I lost all of my photos on my Facebook account and lost many of my contacts through my old email address that I lost access to. I have also done amateur dog training and hope to get a professional certification in dog training within the next 12 months. I am happy to house sit during my work week if you only have cats that need tending after office hours. I won't be accepting house sitting for dogs unless there is an understanding of my work schedule and the dog has access to a doggy door and a yard or puppy pads are used during the day. I would highly recommend finding a sitter who can be with your dog during the business day instead of requesting me if you have dogs and need assistance during my work week (Mon-Thurs). This is a Side Hustle for me, but it also the more meaningful of my jobs because I love animals more than anything else in this world, and being around them is good for my mental health. I currently work Monday-Thursday until 4:30PM so it will be difficult for me to provide overnight dog sitting until Thursday after 5 PM unless your dog has access to a doggy door or puppy pads. I would highly recommend finding a sitter who does this full time if you need assistance during business hours Monday-Thursday. When I am at your house, your pet is my priority. If they need exercise or stimulation, we will make that happen. I will almost feel guilty for getting paid for it because it will literally be my pleasure. I will ask you to leave detailed instructions that will make my life easier and expect you to extend trust to me to do my job well. I understand it is difficult and that trust is earned and not freely given, but we need to have a clear discussion before you leave about what your expectations are so I can decide If I can meet those in a way that will not cause me undue anxiety. If you need someone after 5PM Mon-Thursday or anytime on the weekends, I am your sitter!

About: I have been caring for pets my whole life; I use a positive approach to interacting with animals and have lots of patience with stubbornness. My last foster had major knee surgery and is successfully recovered and is with her forever family! I only work part time. When I am home my animals have unlimited access to the fenced back yard and as many toys as their hearts desire. I play fetch, chase, and tug on a rainy cold day; I have interactive toys as well! On nicer days we go on long walks! I treat animals like they are my kids, they take up more of my bed and couches than I do! I'm the type of person that meets someone new, but bonds with their dog or cat faster.

You can also expect regular updates and photos, so you'll always know your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away.

About: I was born and raised on a ranch caring for many types of animals. I have extended my background from cows, horses and sheep to training, breeding and so much more with dogs. I am respectful, patient and have an overall love for every animal! I am currently a stay at home mom and looking for other work when I stumbled upon Rover. I love animals and am very excited at the chance to be around them more! I have a fenced yard and my own dog as well who gets along great with everyone. I have crates if needed and a park very close to run some energy out!

About: I have grown up being surrounded by dogs! My dad always had dogs in our home. I raised my pitbull/lab mixed breed dog Nala from when I was the age of Ten until she passed away when I was 21 years old. She taught me a lot about being a pet owner as well as a person! About: I have always been “dog” person. I got my first dog when I was 5 and have had multiple dogs since. I was a dog walker for neighbors and friends during adolescence and my teen years. I will make sure your dog is well taken care of! I am currently of of work for the summer because I work for the school district. I have a lot of extra free time to occupy. I have a huge yard and a crate if needed! I also have an 11 year old who loves dogs and would love to interact with some new, friendly puppers.

About: Ive always has pets including many cats, dogs, birds,etc and Most animals like me, I’m trust worthy with animals and am very careful with them I can take care of animals after work whenever needed, I normally work morning shifts depending I’m normally available after 4-6 depending on what work needs I moved recently so I have a house with roommates that my two cats live with me at, they have a cat tree and toys and everything they need

About: I have been to go to pet sitter in my neighborhood all of my life. I've dealt with one neighbor's dog in particular who is a difficult dog and requires medication. Pet care is always my number one priority because if someone was taking care of my dog, I would want the same level of care that I provide. I like to learn and also know the routine of the animal I'm watching to best fit their needs and learn or change when necessary.

About: I have taken care of family/friends dogs since I was little, I have also taken care of my own since I was a teenager. I have two puppy's one who is 3 years old who is my best friend, I also have an 1 and a half year old who is also my best friend. I love all animals. I can help train a bit with basics if need be, am very patient and caring. I am able to take on walks, to the park or just hang out if needed. I can also give baths if they need one. I understand all dogs are unique and have different needs and am willing to help. I currently work part time, Monday through Thursday. So I will have plenty of time to check in on, take on walks/ to parks and just play with your animals. I can also bring my dogs along for other dogs if you would like so they have someone to play with or just learn to be around other dogs! I can either take care of your pet in your home or in mine if needed. I do have a fenced yard and 2 dogs of my own. Who are friendly with other dogs and can play/ keep your dog company if you would like. I know how crates work and am willing to learn the routine you have for your animal. (Food/crate/sleeping habits).

About: I am a lifelong animal lover and pet owner. I specialize in both dog and cat care from training and exercising, to feeding and brushing. I am a proud owner of several huskies and a Siamese cat currently. I am a teacher during the day during the school year but have evenings free and any time on the weekends. I’m available most anytime during the summer months. I am a runner and a dog sport enthusiast. I frequently engage in urban mushing with my huskies. I can run or walk your dog and I am also skilled in basic dog obedience skills and pet care. I enjoy interacting with pets in ways to keep them active and happy.
