About: I have been around pets my whole life and have been sitting for friends and family for about 3 years now. Pets are not only adorable but also fun to be around :) I am currently finishing up my last year of university at home. I will be completing a year of student teaching before graduating with a teaching license. I will be 100% available on weekends but my weekday availability will depend on my student teaching schedule. I will follow your pets established routine at home and try to make them feel the most comfortable as possible. I plan on taking care of your pet as if it were my own!

About: I have always been “dog” person. I got my first dog when I was 5 and have had multiple dogs since. I was a dog walker for neighbors and friends during adolescence and my teen years. I will make sure your dog is well taken care of! I am currently of of work for the summer because I work for the school district. I have a lot of extra free time to occupy. I have a huge yard and a crate if needed! I also have an 11 year old who loves dogs and would love to interact with some new, friendly puppers.

About: I've been an animal lover as long as I can remember. When I was 9 years old, my Dad got me my first Golden Retriever for Valentine's Day 1998. Her name was Star. I wanted a Golden because I fell in love with Shadow from "Homeward Bound". Star was my best friend, and we trained together in Canine Good Citizenry and agility. She could jump through hula hoops, over my arm, and she knew all sorts of tricks. I also love horses and used to spend summers and spring breaks on my cousin's farm in Apopka, Florida where she was the Barn Manager for a gal who rode in the Irish Olympics for the Equestrian Team. I had my own horse when I was younger, but we sadly had to sell her when my mother passed away when I was 9 years old. I've had dogs and cats off and on my entire life, but sadly, I just recently moved to Oregon and do not have any pets of my own right now for a few reasons: The first is that I'm working diligently to get established in Oregon and currently have a Mon-Thursday schedule with the City of Salem that requires me to be away from home for over 10 hours a day. Second, my roommate has a sick and aging cat who is not doing well, and we do not want to stress him out by adding pets to the house right now. Hopefully, my roommate will be able to reconsider when things change, but for now, Bok Choy (and his comfort) is our main priority at my house. Third, I'm hoping to move my Dad out to Oregon within the next 3 years, but for now, he is living alone as a retiree in Georgia, where I grew up. He is very attached to our dog Hank, and even though I'm definitely Hank's favorite person, I couldn't stand the thought of separating those two because I felt like my Dad needs Hank more than I do as Hank is his reason to get up in the morning! I miss Hank more than words can express, but I think we made the right call because Hank does not like being alone, and Dad can accommodate this as he is retired whereas I am in the main career years. I have previous dog sitting experience, but sadly, my identity was hacked, and I lost all of my photos on my Facebook account and lost many of my contacts through my old email address that I lost access to. I have also done amateur dog training and hope to get a professional certification in dog training within the next 12 months. I am happy to house sit during my work week if you only have cats that need tending after office hours. I won't be accepting house sitting for dogs unless there is an understanding of my work schedule and the dog has access to a doggy door and a yard or puppy pads are used during the day. I would highly recommend finding a sitter who can be with your dog during the business day instead of requesting me if you have dogs and need assistance during my work week (Mon-Thurs). This is a Side Hustle for me, but it also the more meaningful of my jobs because I love animals more than anything else in this world, and being around them is good for my mental health. I currently work Monday-Thursday until 4:30PM so it will be difficult for me to provide overnight dog sitting until Thursday after 5 PM unless your dog has access to a doggy door or puppy pads. I would highly recommend finding a sitter who does this full time if you need assistance during business hours Monday-Thursday. When I am at your house, your pet is my priority. If they need exercise or stimulation, we will make that happen. I will almost feel guilty for getting paid for it because it will literally be my pleasure. I will ask you to leave detailed instructions that will make my life easier and expect you to extend trust to me to do my job well. I understand it is difficult and that trust is earned and not freely given, but we need to have a clear discussion before you leave about what your expectations are so I can decide If I can meet those in a way that will not cause me undue anxiety. If you need someone after 5PM Mon-Thursday or anytime on the weekends, I am your sitter!

About: I have taken care of family/friends dogs since I was little, I have also taken care of my own since I was a teenager. I have two puppy's one who is 3 years old who is my best friend, I also have an 1 and a half year old who is also my best friend. I love all animals. I can help train a bit with basics if need be, am very patient and caring. I am able to take on walks, to the park or just hang out if needed. I can also give baths if they need one. I understand all dogs are unique and have different needs and am willing to help. I currently work part time, Monday through Thursday. So I will have plenty of time to check in on, take on walks/ to parks and just play with your animals. I can also bring my dogs along for other dogs if you would like so they have someone to play with or just learn to be around other dogs! I can either take care of your pet in your home or in mine if needed. I do have a fenced yard and 2 dogs of my own. Who are friendly with other dogs and can play/ keep your dog company if you would like. I know how crates work and am willing to learn the routine you have for your animal. (Food/crate/sleeping habits).

About: I am a lifelong animal lover and pet owner. I specialize in both dog and cat care from training and exercising, to feeding and brushing. I am a proud owner of several huskies and a Siamese cat currently. I am a teacher during the day during the school year but have evenings free and any time on the weekends. About: I have been taking care of animals since I was 8 but began house sitting when I turned 16. I have experienced taking care of dogs, cats , horses and even chickens. while looking after your fur babies they will be given excellent care as if they were my own. A love to photograph animals so with my care come a free mini photoshoot. With your permission of course! My 4 year old black lab absolutely loves to play with others. So if your pup needs a buddy to burn off some energy she’s your pup . I work 3 pm to 11:30pm but I’m free the rest of the time to do pop in or walks. If I’m staying at your house I bring in my own food and drink. And stay with your fur baby the whole time. If I’m in home sitting I do a minimum of 3 30 min walks a day. 1 before work ,after work and before bed. And depending on your fur babies energy I’ll add in extra play time if needed. I’m stuck to strictly feeding schedules so whatever time you have them eat I’ll make sure to do they same. To help keep them in their normal routine. If I’m doing a drop in I can go walks /runs for about an hour unless you need me to take them for more time.

About: I have a wide variety of experience between helping you continue manner training, to grooming small dogs. When I’m not loving on your dog, I’m loving mine. Helping pets feel their best is my passion, so seeing your dog multiple times a day will make me happy. I do rover full time Maintaining your house rules including your dog’s training and safety are top priority. Keeping track of your dogs behavior and making a relationship is imperative.

About: I was born and raised on a ranch caring for many types of animals. I have extended my background from cows, horses and sheep to training, breeding and so much more with dogs. I am respectful, patient and have an overall love for every animal! I am currently a stay at home mom and looking for other work when I stumbled upon Rover. About: Hi! I have experience with all different types of animals. I have a 7 year old terrier mix that gets along with other dogs. I used to foster and took care of all types of dogs. I’m a nurse so I have experience with giving meds. When I go to work, my boyfriend is at home and your pet will not be alone. I work 3 days a week but my boyfriend works from home and is home all of the time. We can take your dog to the park and go on walks at least twice a day. We have a two bedroom house with plenty of space inside. We have a small outdoor space for your dog to sniff but we will go on daily walks with your dog.

About: I've taken care of pets basically my whole life, especially cats, and I've also had a dog for a couple years. I'm always the first person my friends and family call when they need help with their pets. I stay well read on what's good for animals, from training to helping with anxiety, and I'm always willing to go the extra mile to make sure a pet is happy. They're living creatures who deserve just as much happiness as we do. In terms of training, I've helped a cat retrain to use the litter box after it regressed due to anxiety, working through the root cause rather than just the behavior itself. I've also reduced aggression in animals through consistent training. I'm willing to stick with things for a long time and stay consistent, especially when it's for the betterment of the animal. My life is quite flexible, so pet care fits easily into my routine. I prefer jobs where I'm able to stay in charge of how the work gets done, since that's when I feel like I can give my best contribution. That flexibility means I can adjust to a pet's needs rather than squeezing them into a rigid schedule. When I'm caring for a pet in their own environment, I make sure to respect their space and routine completely, from where they're allowed to go to how they're used to being handled. I pay close attention to safety details like doors, gates, and anything that could be harmful to them, and I adapt to whatever setup the home already has in place.

About: I live in Salem but drive up to Portland several times a week. So If you live in the Portland or Salem area or anywhere in between, I am happy to help you with your pet sitting needs. I grew up with cats, dogs, and chickens. My earliest pet care was at the age of 10 taking care of my neighbors dogs and cats while they were gone. In my adult life, I've had one cat and 4 dogs. My current dog is a Standard Poodle named Percy. He's a huge love! I know your pets are your heart, too. I strive to give your pets my best love and care while you're gone, just like I would want someone to give Percy! I currently work from home, so I can pop in or stay over easily. I would hope that your pet is able to walk with Percy, because he would hate to be left out of the fun. Each pet is unique and will be respected. Grouchy kitty under the bed?? About: Since 2021 I’ve fostered 2 cats and 2 dogs and have found them each their perfect forever homes. I love animals and love making sure that they’re cared for and taken care of. Trails, parks, and beaches, oh my! Oh the places that your little furry friend and I will go 🐶🐾🦮 As a veteran enrolled in law school full time, I understand the importance of time management and responsibility. Most of my availability will be during the week after class and in between studying, with more time typically opening up on the weekends. I am unable to care for pets in my apartment complex but I will make sure that your pet continues to feel right at home in their own environment. I’ll cater my care to any dietary or medical treatments and medications and will ensure that they are properly exercised.
