“Arielle was amazing!!! This was our first time ever leaving our fur baby with anyone other than family! She made us feel so at ease & remained in contact with us throughout his stay! She sent us pictures so we could see how he was doing & it looked like he was on vacation!!! She accepted him last minute & he came home so content & exhausted from his playtime! We have definitely found Opi’s home away from home!!! If you’re looking for an awesome sitter for your fur baby, look no further!!!”

“Our dog recently completed a 10 day stay and loves it here. Plenty of room to roam in an expansive back yard. Attentive treatment from a caring boarder. Plenty of social time with a few good friends including Jade’s own sweet dogs. What more could your very own “best friend” ask for?”

“We met Gayle while searching for somewhere to board our dogs for two weeks. This past weekend we left them with her for a quick get-away and practice stay. I have never been happier. Gayle kept us up to date, sent pictures, answered all our concerns (one of our dogs is "special-needs"). We picked up two happy, healthy, tired dogs and we know they'll be in good hands with Gayle for future stays. Highly recommend!”

“This was my first time using Rover or boarding my dog, so I was quite nervous. Miriam is great! My dog loved her and it is obvious she cares greatly about dogs. She communicates quickly and is easy to work with. Next time I go out of town, I will book my dog with Miriam!”

“She took wonderful care of my dog, who can sometimes be a bit of a challenge, and handled her with patience and kindness. I received many photos showing my dog happy, comfortable, and enjoying time with her loving family, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear my dog was being treated like part of the family, not just being watched. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and attentive to care for their pet.”

“Great caretaker! Kaela and her family were so friendly and treated Suki like one of their own. Couldn’t have asked for better care or communication. Her puppy blue is a sweetheart as well. Great family to take care of your pup and I would let them take care of Suki again in a heartbeat!”

About: I have all kinds of animals my whole life including dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, hamsters, cattle and pigs. I am currently going to Linn-Benton studying animal science. I am currently going to school in the early afternoons Monday-Thursday so I have plenty of time to care for your babies afternoons, nights, and early mornings. I have a fully fenced yard for your dogs to play in. I have access to a crate if necessary or required. I also have a spayed female dog to keep them company.

About: What does your cat need? Food? I know I'm little more than opposable thumbs that know where the kibble and treats live. Play? I'm fully prepared to run around with a string and congratulate the kitty on catching me. Meds? Swaddle. No matter what is needed, I will read the cat's behavior to respect their boundaries. I pet them only when invited to do so by the cat. Hissing can be waited out or skirted around. I have no desire to make a cat's day worse.
“Amazing job taking care of my cats!! One of my cats is super shy and Imani went the extra mile to make him feel comfortable and safe while I have been traveling for work. She also sends tons of pictures everyday and gives great updates to help my peace of mind! 10/10 recommend!”

“Pakuna was wonderful and took great care of our kitties. They don’t have complicated meds but they require special care and she was friendly in our meet and greet, took great notes, followed instructions, and sent great pictures and notes throughout the visit. Highly recommend Pakuna for your pet care.”

“Hailey and her family were so wonderful to our Kai. They watched him while we went hiking in Silver Falls. She sent pics and updates so we knew Kai was in excellent hands. Kai was happy and relaxed when we picked him up.”

“Candace is a wonderful dog mom!! From the moment we met I knew Maizie would be in good hands. Candace is warm and nurturing but also aware of the mischief puppies can get into. We are hoping to leave her for a longer time next time. I know Maizie is looking forward to seeing Candace-mom and her new big brother playmate, Wilbur again. She had a great time!”

About: Hello! Animals are my passion and have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up taking care of a working ranch and was riding before I could walk. I have experience with dogs, cats, reptiles, amphibians, birds, horses, and livestock animals as well as some exotic animals. Through school, I did a lot of pet sitting regularly for neighbors and friends around the valley so I am familiar with caring for pets who require special care. When I got into college, I went to school for veterinary medicine but due to life circumstances, I had to begin pursuing another career. Now, I am working as a dog trainer with a good understanding of animals and some veterinary knowledge to help along the way. If you ever need help with dog training, just ask! While I am caring for your pet(s), I will play with them, take dogs on walks as the weather allows, and make sure your pets feel loved while their parents are away. I am dedicated to providing the best care possible and look forward to meeting you soon! I currently work evenings and my partners work mornings so one of us will always be available to stay with your critters. I am very flexible and organized so any pets we watch blends right into our routine like they're our own. I am willing to work with you to make sure your pet can stay on the routine they are used to and feel loved while they are away from you to help limit their stress. I, with your permission, will provide daily walks for dogs, exercise, and entertainment. I have experience with animals that require special care and I am familiar with giving them medication. I will play with cats and can teach tricks to both cats and dogs. I will use any treats and toys provided to avoid any possible allergic reactions and your pets will be treated like a part of our family when in my care.
“Arielle was a great find and took good care of my doggo as we explored the national parks nearby. “Bridget had a great time with Novely. Novely was very kind and caring with Bridget. With the photos and video Novely sent I could see that Bridget ran and played in the yard with Novely’s dog and had a fun day.”

About: I have been around dogs and cats since before I could walk! I started pet sitting for my neighbors when I was a kid and have spent most of my life helping out my friends and family with their pets. I am a huge animal lover and also very active! I often pet sit for my friends and love to take their dogs on walks and runs. I live in Albany with my cat, Bill, and work from home a lot so I have lots of availability and would love some more dog time in my life! I work from home four days a week (wednesday’s i am in office) so i have a lot of availability to spend time with your dog! I am also an active runner and walker, so I can get your pup outside and get out energy if that’s what they need, or we can cuddle up inside and play or hang out :) I live in a spacious two-bedroom apartment with lots of grassy areas and walking paths around. I do have a cat, he gets along well with dogs, but your pup would need to be okay with cats! I have a very gentle approach to dogs and respecting their boundaries is so important to me. Depending on what you prefer for your dog, they are free to roam my apartment and be on furniture, unless you prefer them not to be! I have some experience training so if you’re in the middle of building habits, i will adhere to those practices :)

About: Animal care has been a part of my whole life. I've always had a pet, whether they were cats or dogs. No matter the size, age, or breed of the pet, I understand to respect their boundaries and be mindful of their safety. Spoiling and playing with pets is the easiest task on the planet. I'm a part-time college instructor. My hours are extremely flexible, so I can happily take a break from grading to pop in for a pet. I first and foremost will defer to the owner's instructions and requests. For pop in care, I will check basic needs first: food/water/litter box/potty breaks. Then comes socializing or any other request from the owner. Weather permitting, I like to take dogs out for fetch, chase, tug-a-war, or casual walks. What we do is sometimes determined by the breed of dog. For cats, I understand that play is up to them. I'm happy to engage in any way they prefer. My own cat is a fiend for a string.

I can provide regular visits, feedings, walks, playtime, and attention on a schedule that works for each pet. I care for pets in their own home, following their usual routine for meals, playtime, and any special instructions. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable while their owners are away.
About: Hello! I now host doggy and other animal boarding in my own home! Going on vacation? Wanna leave the pup with someone safe and trusted? I have a Big yard and up to two professional dog caretakers at a time 😊 Let’s talk!… I grew up on a farm and have spent 23 years loving all animals, caring for pets, farm companions, and learning how to provide each unique critter with the love they deserve. In the pictures above, you’ll find several of my beloved pets, clients, and animals I have had the fortune of meeting! I believe a passion for helping animals has made me into a highly empathetic individual who has a keen eye for understanding details in animals, allowing me to provide care that puts your pet first. I try to go beyond the basic necessities to help animals feel safe, happy, enriched, and loved, in your absence. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments, including puppies, kittens and seniors. I display an intermediate level of training, including how to reinforce actions that benefit your companion, as well as steer away/de-escalate unwanted habits. I will always advocate for your pet, especially around other animals. Ample cuddles as well! Aside from cats and dogs, I especially enjoy caring for horses (feel free to inquire separately!), rodents, reptiles, chickens, and more. Available almost everyday/nights and open to all inquiries. Located in Eugene, Salem, and Portland. Questions? Shoot me a message! Communication is highly important to me and all messages will be responded to as quickly as I can. I strive to spend most of my days caring for pets and my doggy (or cat/other!) most of all. I provide personalized and loving care from Portland, or in your home, anywhere from Salem To Eugene! Shoot me a message anytime and I will reply promptly. Whether your fur baby is in my home or yours, overnights or walking, I ensure utmost respect, cleanliness, privacy, and respect. I will follow your schedule, directions and pet needs with great care for detail. Communication is highly important to me and all phone calls and messages will be responded to quickly. For all clients, I will setup a time for us to meet in person to get to know each other better, and for your pet to get to know me in a familiar environment prior to the first day of care!
About: • Veterinary student • Fear Free • *pending BLS/ALS RECOVER CPR certification coming 05/16* • • Transparent, reliable, and attentive care backed by extensive clinical experience • I’m Jennifer, a 2nd yr veterinary student at Oregon State University with an interest in small animal medicine and feline-centered care. I have 10+ years of hands-on experience working with (primarily) dogs and cats in both shelter and clinical environments. I began volunteering at the Arizona Humane Society, where I provided daily care and enrichment for incoming and resident animals. I later worked as a veterinary assistant in a small animal general practice clinic for 4–5 years, gaining extensive experience with patient handling, client communication, and medical care in a fast-paced setting, while completing a bachelors in pre-veterinary medicine and a wildlife management certificate. To supplement my extensive academic training, I have pursued Fear Free Certification and Cat Friendly Veterinary Practitioner certification to better understand how to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in animals in the shelter and clinic environment. I carry those principles into every visit, prioritizing calm, low-stress care tailored to each pet’s individual needs and personality. In addition, I am fully bonded and insured, and I maintain independent professional coverage beyond Rover platform protections. Currently, I am progressing on completing the BLS/ALS CPR certification through the RECOVER Initiative (the evidence-based standard used in veterinary medicine) and I will officially have that achievement met on May 16th! Additionally, I am continuing to expand my Fear Free certification in the coming weeks to include a higher tier of canine/feline care and a broader range of species in general. I am comfortable administering medications through a variety of routes and have experience caring for multiple species, including dogs, cats, and backyard poultry such as chickens and turkeys. While the majority of my experience is within the small animal realm, I have additional experience with a variety of species. Providing these services are an extension of my training and long-term career in veterinary medicine. I strive to provide thoughtful, consistent care so you can feel confident that your pet is in capable hands. One of my goals is to maintain your pet’s routine, while also monitoring for subtle changes in behavior or health while you’re away. I am currently transitioning into a full-time veterinary assistant role in a clinic in Eugene, OR, but I will do my best to accommodate any services in my time outside of the clinic. Thank you for sticking around to learn about me. I’d love to meet your fur kids! I am currently a 2nd year veterinary student that has needed to take a medical deferral for a year. I plan to return to OSU CCVM to finish my doctorate degree, during the Winter 2027 term. During the month of May '26, I expect to be transitioning into a veterinary clinic job in Eugene, OR. I will do my best to accommodate all requests in the meantime and I will be transparent about any scheduling conflicts. I am hoping to spend the next year focusing on my health, continuing my veterinary learning at a pace that suits my current needs, spending time with my cats and my partner, and exploring OR. I will reliably provide updates on the status of your pets and provide immediate reports if I notice anything abnormal or medically concerning during our visit. I am always available to be contacted if there are any concerns during the services or leading up to the services. In my time off from veterinary school, I plan to pursue BLS/ALS RECOVER CPR certification in Portland, OR in mid May. Fingers crossed that I am able to find a class with space but I will update my profile once I have official certification shortly! How cool to have a legit medical professional as a pet/house sitter while you're away! 😎 On top of being an approved Rover sitter/covered by the Rover guarantee, I have additional insurance coverage and am bonded through an external company to simply give myself and your family peace of mind while you're away!
About: I'm a dependable and hard worker who's had dogs and cats my whole life, and have been pet/house sitting off and on since I was an early teenager. I love taking dogs for runs or walks with me and getting the chance to exercise them, or just playing with them in the house. I have plenty of experience with older dogs who need medication and various special care needs, dogs who have recently had operations, as well as with puppies making messes. I also have cared for kittens and older cats who need play time or lots of love. I'm happy to give daily updates on your pets; I think they are just as cute as you do! I've taken care of houses, plants, and pets for up to three month periods, communicating with the owners the whole time. I will love and care for your pets just like you do! I currently work from home and have a completely flexible schedule, so I can fit your pets' care needs in however works best for them. I have lots of experience with very high energy working dogs, German Shepherds, who needed to be kenneled and fed in particular ways, as well as experience with caring for up to six pets at a time, making sure they're all fed and getting along at dinner or play times.

“Hailey and her family were wonderful with our dog, Porter. He does much better in a home environment and they treated him like part of the family. 😀 We will definitely be booking again!”

“Shelby went above and beyond caring for Shadow 🫶 Daily walks, lots of photo updates, and even a thoughtful card and treat at pickup - it meant so much! I could tell he was happy and well cared for the entire time, and will absolutely be booking her again in the future 😊”

“Chandra was great with our pup, Ivy! We had a last-minute change in our original booking and she was very accommodating. We got lovely updates and would definitely book with Chandra in future!”

“Whitney was warm and welcoming, and Zoey loved her and her dogs!! Whitney communicated with me and sent me pictures of Zoey during her stay which gave me peace of mind! I will use Whitney again! 😊”

“My dog has a great time with Bradley. He seemed very happy and got plenty of attention and activity. Bradley wa great in communication, genuine affection for pups. I’d definitely look to Bradley in the future for dog sitting.”

“Karlie was very flexible and easy to plan with. Her house is very dog friendly and her pup, Dresden, is a great playmate! Our dog didn’t care when we left at drop off because she was already having so much fun.”

“We threw a small superbowl party at our home. Floki does not do well with guests stopping by, so we searched for near by dog sitter to watch him for the evening. We met with Jordan a couple weeks prior to dropping Floki off. He did well with him and his son. Jordan sent pictures throughout his, putting our mind to ease! The picture of our dog with his head on his son's lap was PERFECT! Like I said, he doesn't do well with strangers stopping by so this made both of us very happy receiving this photo! Floki is a very energetic dog and he was tired when he came home. Jordan took Floki for 2 long walks which was not expected but appreciated! He went above and beyond previous sitters!!! So grateful to have found him! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Oh and another thing that we must mention, he got along with the other dogs he cared for; out of the norm for Floki! We're definitely going to use him for future events.”

“Christina was amazing with our English Toy Spaniel! She invited my pup and me to come over for a meet-and-greet before the trip stay so that Skerby could experience being in her home and become comfortable with it. She listened intently as I explained his routine. It was obvious that she knows dogs and is comfortable having them around. She was very affectionate toward Skerby and was always very kind to me. I appreciated her enthusiasm, flexibility (I had to drop off our dog a little earlier than I'd planned and she was very accommodating), and experience. I highly recommend her service and will check her availability when we have to travel again in the future.”

“Tania was amazing! This was my first time using Rover and I was nervous leaving my puppy overnight, but she made me feel completely at ease. She asked thoughtful questions, kept me updated with pics/videos, and took such great care of Nala. You can tell she genuinely cares—she set the bar HIGH. I’ll definitely be booking with Tania again and highly recommend her, especially for first-time Rover users! 🐾💕”

“Kathrine is an AMAZING sitter! I went out of town for 5 days and left my pup with her at her home. I immediately felt comfortable leaving her there when I dropped her off. She sent pics, videos, and updated me on all things (eating, pooping, etc.). Her dog, Ophelia, was the sweetest companion and I could tell her and my dog were besties from the pics she sent! They went on multiple walks a day, and even a weekend adventure! I will definitely be using Kathrine again in the future!”

“My beagle stayed with Madlin for 4 days, had an issue with another arrangement while I was out of town and Madlin was able to handle everything (picked up my dog and helped both my beagle's stress and my own with great communication). She was a life saver for me and my dog loved her, would recommend her to anyone in the Salem area.”
