About: My family jokes that I was raised by animals. 🤣 I have had pets since I was born, and considered them my best friends. I have had jobs in dog grooming, some experience in training, volunteered at my local SPCA, currently an active volunteer for Angels To The Animals & even became a full time artist selling commissioned pet portraits! Everything about furry animals & waggy tails brings me immense joy and happiness. Animals calm my soul. Today, I have 3 of the most spoiled doggo’s out there. I narrate their thoughts, talk to them like they’re babies, and they are even insta-famous! They have their own bedroom, closet, dresser, mountains of toys, and an abundance of clothes/accessories. I truly do work hard so my dogs can have a better life. I have experience in housecleaning so I regularly entered people’s homes. Rest assured, I’ll leave your house the way I found it (maybe better if I see an animal mess that needs tending to). I’ll treat your home like my own. I have responsibilities Tuesday- Friday from noon- 1:00 however I’m available before or after. Ideally, I am looking for regular clients that consistently need someone to hang out with their fur babies. I would meet you and your fur baby, and get a lay of the land. If you need me to feed them, water them, give treats, I would just need to know where to access them. For cats, if you need me to clean the litter box, I would just need to know where the bags, & scooper are. Also where you’d like the waste disposed.

Your fur babies are my main focus, We will gladly follow special instructions/ schedules per request for each fur friend, lots of walks, play and lots of attention.
“Nancy was absolutely wonderful! She graciously accepted my VERY last minute booking request, was easy to communicate/coordinate with, and a breeze for drop off and pick up. She was just what Mandy needed as we train her separation anxiety. I loved the pictures she sent of their time together. Was very nice to know my pup was in safe, loving hands! And her backyard looks like a dog’s paradise which was perfect for Mandy’s addiction to ball throwing!!”

“Keith was great and helped us out when we wanted to go out to dinner for a few hours! He watched our sweet pup Noomi and kept us updated with pictures and videos! Thanks Keith, we will for sure book again!!”

“Rachel was so sweet to Wilson. He’s almost 18 and sometimes he pees or poops indoors. She has a senior dog so she understood. Thank you Rachel! I will call you again if Wilson has t worn out his welcome. 😀”

“My Winston absolutely loves it at Kim’s house! He just struts right in like he owns the place. Her pups couldn’t be any sweeter & we feel so lucky we found her . Thanks Rover for making this so easy.”

About: Hello! I'm a stay-at-home mom with two dogs and one cat. In addition to taking care of my own pets, I have fostered numerous dogs of all sizes and ages. My specialty is medium to large, active dogs who need exercise. I enjoy running and hiking, so if you have a dog who needs outdoor time, please contact me! I also have experience with sick animals who need special care. I have nursed several dogs back to health, including fosters and the strays who find me. I'm available to visit your home for your pet's needs, to feed, walk, administer medication, as well as provide transportation to vet appointments. Our house has extra rooms to board and babysit pets. There is plenty of space in our yard and neighborhood for walks, running, and playtime. I'm excited to meet you and your pet to see how I can be there for you! I'm a stay-at-home mom to three older/independent kids and a baby. I am looking forward to getting out of the house to walk your dogs, provide drop-in care, and/or dogsitting and boarding at my home. I have worked with rescue dogs with violent backgrounds or stress from the shelter. I can read their body language and make sure they are comfortable with me and our environment. Your dog will stay on a leash unless we are in a fenced area. My backyard is fenced in, and I have a finished basement with kennels if your dog needs a quiet place. My two dogs are very friendly, so if your dog is interested in playing, they will be introduced. My dogs are up-to-date on their vaccines.
“Bethany was very helpful with answering all our questions as first time Rover users. She was attentive to messages and provided excellent communication! When we are in Troutman again we will definitely book with her again. Willow seemed to enjoy her visit!”

About: I have had dogs since I was born. We have had anywhere from 1 to 4 dogs at a time. As a family of four with two working parents, I have always been responsible to care for my dogs in the way they need. I currently work remotely for my full time job. I tend to do some traveling but also have much free time on my hands when I am at home. My two dogs at home are fully potty trained. I am comfortable taking them out on leashes, cleaning up after them, and crating them if needed.

About: I love dogs and what they bring to our life! Your pup will hang out with a friendly and energetic 5-year old Golden Retriever, his name is Tango and he is great with other dogs! We have a large fenced in yard and we spend lots of time playing ball and chasing squirrels. I work from home and have plenty of time to take care of your pup. About: Because I work remotely, pets are rarely left alone for long periods of time. I have hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages and energy levels... from a senior dog who became blind and deaf, which taught me patience and gentle, consistent care, to my current puppy, where I focus on training, routine, exercise, and positive reinforcement for high-energy needs. I also have two cats with very different personalities, so I am very attentive to body language and always respect each pet’s comfort level, allowing them to warm up at their own pace. I work remotely and am home throughout the day. This allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, regular walks, playtime, and plenty of companionship without dogs being left alone for long periods. My mornings usually start with feeding and a walk or outdoor time. Throughout the day, I schedule additional walks, play sessions, and enrichment based on each dog’s energy level and needs. Because I’m home, I can easily adjust my schedule for puppies, senior dogs, or dogs who need extra attention or routine. I make sure routines stay consistent from day to day so dogs feel comfortable, secure, and at home. Dog care isn’t something I squeeze into my schedule—it’s part of my everyday life. My goal is always to provide a safe, attentive, and loving environment where dogs feel happy and well cared for. I take safety, trust, and comfort very seriously and always care for pets as if they were my own. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine while providing a calm, secure environment. In my home, pets are closely supervised and never left unattended for long periods of time. Because I work remotely, I’m able to be present throughout the day to monitor behavior, provide regular potty breaks, walks, and attention, and ensure pets are comfortable and relaxed. I keep my space clean, pet-friendly, and free of hazards, and I’m careful to follow any household rules provided by owners. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all care instructions closely. I make sure doors and gates are secure, food and medications are given as directed, and pets receive the level of interaction and exercise they’re used to. I’m also attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, or energy and communicate updates promptly. My goal is always to create a safe, low-stress environment where pets feel secure and owners feel confident their pets are in good hands.
About: I have taken care of my household dogs for over 20 years now. I joined the military in 2016 as a dog trainer and instantly fell in love with the profession. When I separated from the military in 2022, I continued to board pets as well as train dogs for private companies as well as for my business. This is my full time job, so it is not about how your pet fits into my schedule because my schedule revolves around your pets! I live in a 3 level home where I have one level dedicated to boarding and training. So it’s plenty of space to run around inside, or outside on my 1.3 acre lot. I will provide continuous updates and transparent communication.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
