“Liz was perfect! I needed someone on short notice and she came through for stopping by to feed my cat while I was out of town for a few days. She even returned for an additional night when I was running late. Nothing but good things to say about Liz!”

“John is amazing! He is very accommodating with his time. Came to meet the pack the week before the schedule date. The dogs loved him. Then the day before scheduled sit I had to reschedule for the following week due to illness. He was able and willing to change dates. I will definitely rebook with him.”

“Amanda was great! Always on time for her drop in visits and communicated well. Even took extra time to make sure our cat's gps tracker was charged and working. Will book again when needed.”

“Kim, thank you so much for giving me peace of mind that Kitty was well cared for in my absence!!! Kim did exactly as we discussed. She gave notice that she was on her way and provided pictures each visit.”

“Caitlin is the best! I have a new (stray) cat and was nervous about leaving my furbaby alone. Caitlin’s communication skills are awesome and she sent me pictures and videos. Would give more stars if I could! Thanks so much Caitlin😊”

About: I have had pets all my life. My first pet was when I was like 4. I'm not sure if that is included as "experience" because I was so young. His name was Molson. He was a golden retriever and he passed away pretty young; he had cancer and died at 6 (very hard time to deal with as a 10 year old child when that happened). Didn't mean to sound so depressing. Even though I was just a child, I would participate with letting him out and filling his dishes with food and water and playing with him. As of today as a grown up, I have 3 dogs (golden babies), 6 cats (outdoor cats to be specific because I have a hamster and don't want them to eat him), and a hamster named Ted. My dogs names are Lucy, Nala, and Rocky. My cats names are Furby (he is the one I am holding in my profile picture), Gizmo, Stripe, Rambo, Venus, and Zoro. I would like to mention that I enjoy walks, so why not enjoy a walk with a dog and yeah get paid for it too haha. I love all animals. Like for real; I had frogs as pets too. I've never had birds, snakes and lizards, and spiders though. My mom was not ok with that idea because birds were too loud and she hates snakes and lizards as well as spiders. Thinking back, I am honestly surprised my mom was ok with me having frogs. And how can I forget about fishes. I've had fishes throughout my life. My most recent fish was named Bill (he passed away in 2020); I think we can all agree that 2020 wasn't a great year. I am an Amazonian as I like to call myself as I work at Amazon. I work there on the weekends and I would like to find some dog walking and/or pet sitting during the week. I'm pretty flexible. In my yard, it is fenced, so my dogs don't escape. In my house, my hamster Ted is in his cage; I don't want him to get lost and/or eaten. As my kitties go, we have a routine. They will stick around because there is me to pet them and there is food and treats for them too.
About: I grew up with dogs all my life. I have 6 labrador retrievers and have experience in breeding, training, and caring for puppies. I am also experienced in providing special needs care including meds, shots, and injury care. My schedule is very flexible. I am currently available throughout the day. I am also currently a student at Appalachian State University and have the free time to provide care for your pets. I always try my best to accommodate pets' routines. I like to make sure that both cats and dogs are comfortable, happy, and safe in the client's home while I am providing care.
“Ashley is amazing. Reliable, responsive, flexible, trustworthy and incredibly kind. She did drop in visits for us for a week while we were away and sent us updates, pictures and videos and made us feel so comfortable knowing our girls were being cared for. Will definitely book with her again!”

Her communication was impeccable. We will most definitely be repeat customers. “Emily was reliable, communicative, and patient while taking care of my senior pup. Buckshot is very picky about the people he let's close, but took to her quickly. Typically he gets anxious when I'm on extended work trips, but this time he was smiling in every picture Emily sent! 10/10”

“Whether it’s last-minute or planned way in advance, Nancy always delivers. She loves my dog Leo and it shows in how she talks about him and cares for him. In photos and videos she sends me, Leo looks like he’s having more fun with her than he does with me! 😉 And Nancy gladly brings in mail and packages and leaves them in a secure place. Highly recommended!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Killian Crossroads. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
