About: I grew up with my best friend Reuben, the family St. Bernard. My love for caring for pets has never ceased. I love and respect dogs and believe that if I love your dogs like I love mine, they will feel secure and confident until you come home. Additionally, having been a homeowner for many years, I am a fantastic house sitter. I have an extensive frame of reference if something presents itself that I need to address or call to your attention. If you like, I can bring in your mail and water your plants. And optional services can include running errands, shopping in preparation for your return, running packages to drop off, weeding landscaped beds, organizing projects, cleaning projects, and anything that you’ve wanted to accomplish but haven’t had the time. I work remote part-time, so I can work from anywhere and am available most of the time for overnight stays, or just visits and walks. Taking care of your pet(s) in your home offers your pet(s) the most familiarity because we will follow your protocol and structure to which they are accustomed. Occasionally I will care for pets in my home.

“Elizabeth is extremely helpful, responsive and very communicative. Astro had a great time and made our day at ease by sending his updates. Will definitely book again whenever we are back at obx.”

About: I’ve been around dogs for years volunteering at the shelter and fostering. I have two dogs of my own so I have the experience with all different breeds and personality. ***If making a overnight house sitting request, I usually have to bring my two dogs*** I work full time from home but do have to go into the office some days for a few hours. I will crate dogs when leaving home every time for their safety. They will be loved and fed just like my own! Can provide excercise if needed, but will not exercise if it is to hot. I will only be taking dogs for boarding if they are crate trained. I am home a lot but I need to be able to leave for errands and for dogs safety, your dog needs to be crate trained.
About: I’ve been taking care of all sorts of animals since I was 13. I used to volunteer at a humane society and now partake in “adopt a dog for a day” at our local shelter! It’s always such a great time and i’d love to give a hand to anyone who needs it with pet care. I’m currently working part time with a super flexible schedule and open to all sorts of activities! I do have transportation and can usually work my schedule around anything. I have lots of space for pups to run around and play. I also love walking through the woods/beach or going to the dog park with doggos. I am equipped with lots of treats and am ready to take on anything.

“Mindy was great! She put both me and my nervous pup right at ease. I really appreciated her availability and flexibility with a last minute time change. We will definitely be in touch again if we need another dog sitter on a future visit to OBX!”

About: I have been around dogs my entire life. Growing up, we had labrador retrievers, where I helped with the day-to-day care, training, and even helped raise liters of puppies. I have volunteer at the local SPCA. In 2019, I adopted my dog, Gus. With Gus, I learned patience from having adopted a rescue. I continually work to make sure his life is better everyday, and will ensure I do the same for your fur baby. I regularily help dog sit for families & friends and would love to extend to others in the area. I work from home so can spend plenty of quality, 1:1 time with your dog. I am flexbile with walk & potty schedules. Available any day of the week. I live in a dog friendly apartment. There are multiple large grass areas in the complex that are great for potty breaks. The apartment is away from the main road. I have no roommates so your dog will have plenty of space to spread out all toys & beds.
About: 30 plus years of experience with fur babies. Love all fur babies big ones and little ones. Fur babies are the best part of life! Available full time since I work from home to give your fur baby all the time and attention they need for a positive experience while they are with me. I have a fenced in back yard to play ball, or frisbee with your fur baby while their staying with me and plenty of space if they need to be crated.

About: I have had my pup since I was 17 but she passed away over the summer. I have a lot of free time and love for animals. i’m currently working part-time so I would be able to play with your pup and take on boarding pretty much anytime, including weekends and holidays. I have a spacious house and yard, so enough room to run around or relax. I can accommodate your pet if needed, crate or not, it’s totally up to you.

Kill Devil Hills dog parents share their Rover experiences
Elizabeth is wonderful! She took excellent care of Doggo. Doggo even got to make a new friend with her sweet girl Sprinkles. It was our first time leaving Doggo with anyone ever, so we were all very nervous. However, upon meeting Elizabeth I knew he would be in the best care. He’s very nervous about anything new, but he did so great! She even sent me an update with pictures to put us at ease. I will definitely use Elizabeth again in the future if we come to Outer Banks again on vacation!
