About: I have been a pet care attendant at a dog kennel for two years now. My responsibilities include feeding, walking, playing, bathing/grooming, and administering medications for animals. I have training in dog behavior as well as any medical needs of animals. I also come from a veterinary medical background and have watched and walked dogs for members of my community for many years. I have experience dealing with aggressive, dog reactive, leash reactive, cage brave, and resource guarding animals as well as any other needs that your pet may have. I am currently enrolled at the University of Maryland but can make time to walk and care for pets around my school schedule. I am at my apartment all other times of the day and will be easily available to care for pets. I live in an apartment currently but can easily crate your animals when leaving for class. I live in a pet friendly community with no others pets living in my apartment and can easily walk your pet around my community or take them to the courtyard in my apartment for a quick potty break. There is also an animal bathing room in my apartment complex so I am able to bathe your animals if needed.

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats my entire life and have over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for pets. Growing up, my mom had five dogs—some of which had puppies—and I helped raise and care for them. I’ve also cared for cats in multi-pet households, including feeding, litter box maintenance, and creating calm, safe environments for shy or senior cats. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me for years to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets while they’re away. I now have a black Yorkie of my own, and I treat every animal I care for like part of the family—whether they bark or purr! I currently work part time- and have lots of free time! I will send out a daily schedule of what I’ll be doing with the pets! I will take your dog out on walks on our neighborhood trail outside! Friends often call me an animal whisperer because even shy or nervous pets tend to warm up to me quickly. I work remotely, and am very active, so I have a flexible schedule and can give your pet plenty of attention (and activity)! I work remotely and have very flexible hours, so your pet will have plenty of time, walking, snuggling, and being active. I also attend run clubs where pets are allowed, so if your fur baby is social, I’ll happily take them! I have a backyard, and live in a community with plenty areas to walk and sniff. Pets are welcome to be on furniture and in bed! I’m an excellent communicator, and will work collaboratively with you to determine the best care plan for your pet.

About: My next door neighbor had me take care of their dog, Brownie. He was an old man, but still a good boy! I would make drop-in visits to make sure he was fed and given his medicine which he did such a good job with taking it around me, and I would also take him outside for bathroom breaks. Milo was another dog I took care of recently, and unlike Brownie, she was young, and also loud just like any other husky, but similar to Brownie, she was good girl. This time she had to live with me at my house, but she was no problem at all. I would take her outside at least two hours a day and give her walks around my neighborhood. I would also let her sleep on my bed and she'd wake me up by licking my face every morning to start the day. Feeding her wasn't a problem either. In fact, taking so much time out of my day to take care of just any other dog is never a problem for me! My recent pet care was for a Siberian Husky named Milo. After taking care of her cats, my sister asked me to take care of Milo for a friend who was away last December. Milo was a big dog, but she wasn't anything I had trouble handling. She was a fun and good girl, and I made sure she was taken outside every two hours of every day and also made sure she was given food and water and would refill both when I see that they're almost empty. Pet care comes first for me and I would take plenty of time out of my day to give pets the love and attention they need while family is away. I have a yard but it isn't fenced. However, I will be outside with your dog if they ever need to go, and keep an eye and/or leash on them if necessary. I did the same for my own dog, Macy. Unfortunately, my home doesn't have any other dogs that yours could socialize with since Macy passed away, but with me around, your baby should never feel alone! If I were to take care of your pet at your home (and if necessary), I could also tidy up the inside of your house to the point where I was never even there once you have come back from your trip.

About: Hello! My name is Kaira! I’m currently a full time Veterinary assistant with over 6 years of veterinary experience and over 9 years of pet care experience. I have a 7 year old Pomeranian named Stitch who is my world so I understand that our pets play an important role in our lives. I’m currently working Monday- Friday with weekends free, however, my schedule can be flexible so I can potentially make some changes is needed to suit your pets care. I currently offer house visits/stays, drop ins and walks. I have a 7yo Pomeranian named Stitch who gets along with both cats and dogs. Stitch usually travels with me to work, but if your pet is not fond of other animals then I can make arrangements for him.

“Lauren was Amazing! She loved and cared for Biscuit as if she was her own. She kept Biscuit on her usual schedule with exercise, feeding, potty breaks, and daily play time with our neighbor’s pup. She moved Biscuit’s bed in to the guest room with her so Biscuit could sleep right next to her; which she did each night, and even with a snuggly blanket and toys. Lauren sent up cute pictures each day of Biscuit chilling and/or playing. Our neighbor said that Biscuit hung tight to Lauren’s side when they would stop over to play. I know they formed a special bond! We will be asking Lauren back whenever we go away, as we feel confident in her care taking of our fur baby! Lauren cleaned the house, mopped the floor, did all dishes, and changed and washed bedding, blankets, and all towels…including dog towels (rained a lot). We were able to thoroughly enjoy our week long vacation knowing that Biscuit was being very well cared for. Also, Lauren left a summary note for us to come home to.
