“Kylie was professional, friendly and did everything to make sure my 90lb pitbull was taken care of. She looked after him for a few days and stayed in touch with me the whole time. If you need someone who is a lover of all animals and professional: book Kylie.”

“Karlena has been amazing with our puppy Billie! She is always on time and keeps us updated. She works on training her while she’s here and puts up with the puppy biting. She is our saving grace on days where we aren’t home for extended periods of time.”

“Sherry is wonderful. She has a lot of patience and gave our two cats the time and space they needed to adjust to her taking care of them while we were at our wedding. We did not worry at all about them while we were away.”

“Julie was fantastic while we were on vacation for over a week! She was reliable and spent time with our dog outside and sent pictures each day! She even brushed the hair off our dog as well! I highly recommend her!”

About: I have had dogs for 20 years. I have had 3 smaller dogs in the past (14-25 pounds). 2 were pug/beagle mixes and 1 was a Boston terrier/beagle mix. I currently have a bigger dog (83 pounds) who is a German Shepard/Australian Shepard/Rottweiler mix. I also had a cat growing up for 8 years. I love to spend time with animals going on walks, playing with them and making sure they are well taken care of. I have experience with puppies, adolescent and senior dogs. I can’t wait to meet your pet and be there to help whenever you need! I’m currently a stay at home mom and am at home most days. I have 2 school aged children and I have flexibility and availability in my daily schedule. I am open to helping out with any and all needs for your pet. I can come to your home and care for your pet based on what you specify your pet needs and your preference's. I am willing to do dog walking, playing with dogs or cats, and the general needs such as feeding and ensuring they have clean, fresh water. I will take care of your pet with the same love I show my own pet.

“I can’t say enough good things about Mika! Having someone come into your home and care for your pets requires a lot of trust, and she have exceeded every expectation. Mika is reliable, communicative, and clearly have a genuine love for animals. Frank & Harold were happy, well cared for, and comfortable in their own environment while I was away, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. I appreciated the updates, photos, and attention to detail, and it was obvious that my dog received plenty of love and attention. Coming home to a happy pet and a well-cared-for home was the best feeling. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a dependable and caring pet sitter, and I will definitely be using her again!”

About: Hi there! My name is Ellie, and I’m a passionate animal lover with over a decade of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I have pups of my own, so I know how much trust it takes to let someone else care for your furry family member — and I treat every pet I meet with the same love, attention, and respect I give my own. Whether your dog needs a fun walk to burn off energy, a drop-in to check on meals and snuggles, or full-on overnight care, I’ve got you covered. I’m reliable, patient, and fully committed to making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet your fur baby and give them the care they deserve! I currently work full-time during the day, but pet care is truly a passion of mine and a fulfilling part of my daily routine. I’m available for check-ins and walks in the early mornings before work and in the evenings after I get home. In some cases, I’m also able to swing by during my lunch break for a quick visit, depending on location and timing. I also offer overnight stays, which allows me to spend quality, uninterrupted time with your pet — perfect for dogs who need extra comfort or company while you’re away. While my weekday daytime availability is limited, I’m dependable, communicative, and always make sure your pet gets the attention and care they deserve when I’m with them! You can trust that I’ll treat your pet like one of my own, with patience, affection, and respect. About: I have had dogs my whole life. My job has been to feed them, give them water, clean up after them, take them for walks, and give them medication. I also currently have a senior dog, so I have some experience with them! I have experience with small and big dogs alike. I am a college student who is home for the summer, so I have full availability. During the school year, I will work around my class schedule. Evenings and weekends will be free for sure. We have a fenced yard at home. Still, I watch my dogs just in case. In spring/summer I check for ticks every time they go out. When we go on walks, I am always diligent when we pass another dog. If my dogs aren't up for walks, especially my senior dog, we go out into the backyard and play fetch or run around.
“Nora does an excellent job with our dogs! She is prompt, follows our directions and is great with administering meds. Our dogs feel very comfortable around her and her rates are great! Would definitely recommend.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kensington. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
