About: Family and friends have trusted me to care for their family members for 3 years now with enough space, and a park close by for plenty walks per day, there is always plenty room for endless naps and play time in or outside. As someone that works from home full time I will be able to care 24/7 if needed any day of the week, potty as many times as needed and as many walks needed. There is a field across the street that is the perfect potty spot for any dog size, a park with plenty grass to run around in, 3 walks a day 1 hour each

“This is our second time with Julie caring for our cat Pixie and will not be our last. She is prompt about getting to our house to feed Pixie and does not simply feed her and rush out the door when she is done. Pixie is an extreme affection sponge and we love that Julie sticks around and cuddles with our little one while we are away. I always feel so guilty when we are gone for more than a day, but knowing Julie is going to be sitting with Pixie and giving her the attention she craves really helps me relax. Julie is also so sweet with Pixie. Pix has a habit of getting under foot and can be very chatty. Julie has the patience of a saint navigating the one cat obstacle course to get through our kitchen while prepping her meals. We are thrilled to have come across Julie on Rover and already have discussed with her our next booking, which will be sudden and unpredictable as we go into the hospital to have our first child. She is so open to when we said "yeah, it will be sometime between this date and this date and could be 2-5 days long and will be a very last second booking". Not only did she respond immediately, but she told us no problem, she will be around and to let her know. Shes the best and we so highly recommend her to take care of the fur babies!”

“Katelyn was fantastic! Spent a good amount of time with our cats, playing with them and petting them. She was reliable and trustworthy. Would highly recommend. We will definitely be working with Katelyn again!”

“Erin did an amazing job taking care of our cats while we were on vacation for a week. She understands cats which is very appreciated! I felt at ease knowing she was taking such great care of them. Highly recommend!”

“McKenzie was fantastic while I was away on vacation, taking great care of my two cats and dog. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly gave each pet the attention they needed. I came home to happy, well-cared-for animals and total peace of mind. I’d absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her!”

“Whitnee was able to come through for us at the last minute when our usual rover had to cancel. She was punctual, professional, responsive, and took great care of our two cats! Would certainly book with her again.”

“Hailey is fantastic! She’s reliable dependable and simply loves scooter! I know I can count on her when she says she’s gonna be there and I know my guy is gonna be treated exceptionally well! Cannot recommend her highly enough”

“Karlena took wonderful care of my older cat while I was away! I would get notes and pics everyday as well as a list of things she took care of daily for her. I felt she was reliable and trustworthy while she took great care of my baby!”

“Sabrina & Daniel are an amazing team who took great care of our four cats while we traveled for a long weekend. Two of the cats require daily medication, and they were able to medicate them both without any issues. They were thorough in their visit notes & sent great pics so we know the cats are safe & happy! I absolutely will book with them again for future trips.”

About: I try to take parts of Cesar Milan's strategy with dogs specifically. Trying to not reward bad behavior. Making sure a pet can respect my boundaries. Currently have a dog walking client at Winding Brook Condominiums in Meriden. I’m there twice a day for 30 minute walks and play. I bought some balls for her so she can play. Have videos and lots of photos. I work flexible hours as an independent contractor so I make my own schedule. I am building my pet care business so I am signing up for a drone pilots license for pet recovery. I am also working on upgrading my vehicle to a minivan. I am offering pet sitting in your home until that can change to my home. I am needing different things done to my home before I can bring pets to my house.
“Michelle was very professional and great with communication. She made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease knowing she was there to take care of my cat. I would definitely recommend and use her again.”

About: Hi! I’m a caring, responsible, and dependable dog sitter who truly loves animals. I understand that every dog has a unique personality, routine, and set of needs, so I take the time to make each pup feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. I’m happy to help with feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, cuddles, medication, and plenty of attention. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or calm and cuddly, I’ll provide patient, personalized care while respecting their comfort and boundaries. Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I am very flexible for the most part. I'm always open to discussing anything that fits both of our schedules so please don’t hesitate to contact me! Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Meriden
Kelly provides absolutely stellar service every time! We've booked her on several separate occasions now and have every intention of continuing to book her whenever we need care for our cat. Our cat is diabetic and requires injections every 12 hours, and the peace of mind Kelly provides allows us to enjoy our time away while knowing our cat is safe. Kelly always treats our cat like one of her own and consistently goes above and beyond with detailed notes, thoughtful actions, and kind words. Cannot recommend Kelly enough if you need a pet sitter, especially if you have a special needs pet!

Hailey was wonderful with my pets and cared for them beautifully. My senior animals can be a bit finicky, but my lab went right to her during our first meeting, and both cats immediately rubbed up against her. Their trust in her says more than I ever could. She truly connected with them.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Meriden. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
