âLucy was so great with our three dogs! We have 2 seniors dogs and a puppy. She sent photos and updates of them daily. Thank you again will definitely be booking again!â

âCathy was all I could have hoped for in a caregiver for my sweet kitty. She was loving and followed my directions carefully. Philly was happy to see me when I got home, but calm and content. She had eaten her normal amount of food and Cathy sent pics of Philly playing! The pics were very reassuring. Thank you Cathy.â

About: I've had pets for most of my life and have cared for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies and kittens to senior pets who need extra patience and attention. I'm comfortable maintaining routines, providing plenty of exercise and playtime, and making sure pets feel safe and cared for while their owners are away. I also understand the importance of consistency with young pets and can help reinforce good habits and routines. For senior pets, I'm happy to provide the extra care, patience, and attention they may need. I'm currently home from college and work part time at a local elementary school until their summer starts. I am available most days of the week and at most hours. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible to help their pets feel comfortable and secure. I make sure they have fresh food and water, clean up after them, provide playtime, exercise, and plenty of attention based on their individual needs and personality. For cats, I keep litter boxes clean, spend time playing or socializing with them, and make sure they have a calm, stress-free environment.
âThank you for taking such excellent care of my kitties and fish while we were away from home. The cats were very happy and healthy when we got home and it's because you took excellent care of them.â

âI am so happy to have Brenda to help care for our familyâs new puppy. It is very reassuring to me that he has a scheduled playtime with Brenda when we have other commitments. I especially love the pictures that she sends after the visits so that we can see how much fun our little guy had. She is a wonderful sitter!â

âA few days before our international trip, we stumbled across the Rover site. It was serendipitous, as was our luck in finding Amber. She was everything we wanted in someone who would be in our home and taking care of our cats. She is professional, organized, smart, hardworking, down to earth, and considerate. When we met for our consultation, we were very impressed with her, as well as very reassured by how receptive she was to our needs and situation. We were gone 16 days, and she kept in daily contact with us, providing updates and photos and videos. She went above and beyond, handling our worries thoughtfully and treating our cats as a as though they were her own. Our cats are indoor/outdoor, and Amber was flexible with her schedule so as to try to be in sync with their patterns, in addition to her other obligations. She offered our cats shelter, food and water, treats and playtime, cuddles and reassurance. And in doing so, she gave us tremendous peace of mind. When our one cat would go exploring for extended periods, Amber was mindful to track her adventures. She even took the initiative to look for her if to much time has passed since T had come home. Amber also checked in with us about the house and property, and made a great impression on my dad and sister (who came by and appreciated her efforts too). We can verify that our cats took to her as well, as we had cameras set up and saw how responsive they were to her! :) One of our biggest challenges taking this trip was what we were going to do about our cats (this was our first time away since we adopted them and we know our situation is a little unusual). We are so very grateful to have discovered Rover, and we are 100% going to book Amber and to recommend Amber, wholeheartedly, for future plans.â

âI was kept updated & received pictures of my senior girl when while we were away for 12 hours. She was happy & content. Becky & Christian are great to deal with!â
âWe're delighted to have had Ally take care of The Ladies, our two older female cats. Both Drummer and Maeve took to her immediately finding her warm and engaging. We loved that Ally respected our asks in terms of when and how to feed, do the litter boxes and give medicine. One thing to know about Ally is she's very communicative and clear. Another thing to know is she takes the BEST pictures. She captured the personalities of The Ladies perfectly. We're now comfortable to travel again knowing that we can reach out to Ally for excellent care.â

About: I have taken care and loved all ages of dogs my whole life. From owning them to watching the neighbors and friends. I have also worked in a professional setting for about 5+ years and have had experience caring for all different breeds and their specific individual needs. In addition, I have training experience with Penn Vet Working Dog Center as well as some classes I attended at a training school! Iâm grateful for all the experiences Iâve had and all the ones waiting to be had! I have currently care for 3 different types of animals (cat, gecko, and turtle!) I did have a dog as well however she sadly passed recently. I am able to crate dogs as well as provide medications and keep up with dietary restrictions. I am able to walk as well as play and spend time with the pups! For cats I am able to scoop litter and give as many or as little cuddles as the cat may enjoy! Iâm good with feeding as well as administering meds to cats
âRachel was great! She was on time each day and really helped me out when I wasnât able to handle some of the cat chores myself. Sheâs very polite and has a great personality. We would absolutely have her care for our cat again and would recommend her to others!â

About: Iâve lived with dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes since I can remember. Dog poop, hairballs, slobberâŚnot grossed out, will clean it all. We recently lost our 17-year-old chihuahua, so I have experience caring for a senior pet as well. Iâm a freelance creative, working from home with a very flexible schedule. I can easily shift my day around to meet your pet care needs! I am a sucker for instructions and will follow them to a T. Your pet(s) will get my undivided attention, love, and care. And, with your permission, I love to take photos of your pets and share them with you to add a little bright spot to your day.
About: Hi! I grew up with cats and dogs, and had small animals during college (much to my dorm RA's chagrin LOL) - a hamster, gerbil, snake, and a rat. Currently my daughter and I have four wonderful cats, including an orange female that keeps us on our toes đ, and a Betta fish. With friends and family, I am surrounded by dogs - from Chihuahua to Greyhound - and I love them all! I often pet sit and walk a variety of pawsome pups đž â¤ď¸. I'm comfortable with any type of pet (feline, canine, reptile, bird, small mammals, etc.) and would be honored to care for yours. Let's face it, pets can be better than people, and they deserve to be treated with the unconditional love they show us!! đ I am self-employed, and have ultimate flexibility to care for your pets on your schedule, day or night! I am available for one-off arrangements, when you are traveling, or on-going regular care. I'm especially happy to spend as much time as needed with your fur babies, to ensure they are well-loved and enriched while you are away! In my own home, I can care for caged animals, such as small mammals, reptiles, birds, or fish. They would be kept in a closed room that is off limits to our cats. For your cats and dogs, I happy to come to your home and spend as much time as needed feeding, cleaning, playing, walking, etc. In addition, if the fit is right, I am happy to welcome your dog into my home during the day for doggie daycare.

Lauren is amazing!! She took such good care of our kitty on a weekend that we were feeling really sad to leave him. She made us feel so much better and sent plenty of pictures and videos and even went above and beyond what we asked. We will definitely be one of Laurenâs new regulars :)

Rosemary is an angel !!! With the recent heart shattering diagnosis of terminal cancer in my boy Oreo, Rosemary has been a wonderful part of the care circle. Itâs been a tough journey and Rosemaryâs updates and her sweet words have given me some Peace of mind while Iâm away at work.

We couldn't be happier with Kasey as our cat sitter for Sam and Smoets! From the moment she stepped in, it was clear she genuinely cared about their comfort and well-being. She kept us updated with photos and notes, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. If you're looking for someone reliable, kind, and truly attentive to your pets' needs, Kasey is the one.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
