It's important that we leave our dog with someone who is pet experienced, and has the right amount of time & a safe setup. But in this case, not only is the house nice/roomy with a large backyard, but also it authentically feels like Jennifer and her daughter & husband are enjoying the experience as well. I feel like dogs respond to genuine affection, and that makes all the difference for us. Jennifer took pictures of her husband comforting Moose, and gave us stories about her daughter sleeping with him in her arms. This makes us want to give him this delightful experience everytime we are forced to travel without him, if possible. “A few days before our international trip, we stumbled across the Rover site. It was serendipitous, as was our luck in finding Amber. She was everything we wanted in someone who would be in our home and taking care of our cats. She is professional, organized, smart, hardworking, down to earth, and considerate. When we met for our consultation, we were very impressed with her, as well as very reassured by how receptive she was to our needs and situation. We were gone 16 days, and she kept in daily contact with us, providing updates and photos and videos. She went above and beyond, handling our worries thoughtfully and treating our cats as a as though they were her own. Our cats are indoor/outdoor, and Amber was flexible with her schedule so as to try to be in sync with their patterns, in addition to her other obligations. She offered our cats shelter, food and water, treats and playtime, cuddles and reassurance. And in doing so, she gave us tremendous peace of mind. When our one cat would go exploring for extended periods, Amber was mindful to track her adventures. She even took the initiative to look for her if to much time has passed since T had come home. Amber also checked in with us about the house and property, and made a great impression on my dad and sister (who came by and appreciated her efforts too). We can verify that our cats took to her as well, as we had cameras set up and saw how responsive they were to her! :) One of our biggest challenges taking this trip was what we were going to do about our cats (this was our first time away since we adopted them and we know our situation is a little unusual). About: It wasn't until 2012 when I rented a home with a fenced yard that I adopted my first canine companion. Prior to that time, I always lived with cats and was the friend people thought of when they needed someone to do house and pet-sitting. I sat with quite a few small dogs, as well as a giant pit bull named Miles and a sweet special needs senior lab named Boogie. In my rural home on 3 acres are two 20 pound terriers named Jack and Sadie. They do not have a fenced yard to run around in, but always get at least three good walks each day (locally, on trails, dog parks). They're extremely bonded and are good with other small dogs and cats.

“Stephany was awesome! Very communicative, great handler, and my dog loved her. She took my Nala on big walks, let her out on a leash in the yard, and was attentive to her, sent me multiple pictures and videos, and I can tell my dog wants to go back. Not to mention, she took my booking request on a days notice and I went from requesting to drop off in less than 24 hours. Perfectly reasonable price, will definitely be rebooking in the future!!!”

Our dog immediately bonded with her. We received pictures and updates from Gabriela and upon picking her up also received a full report. Gabriela is such a kind and caring person, you can immediately pick up on that and it truly showed in the loving attention she gave our pup. “Jacqueline and Jim treated my pup and loved her like their own! As it was my 60-lb Golden Retriever’s first time at a house with a cat, I set up a meet and greet and I could tell my dog felt right at home. Jacqueline was super communicative and warm prior to and during the boarding process. I could tell by the photos that my dog was comfortable and I was afraid she wouldn’t want to come back with me! I cannot recommend Jacqueline enough and will definitely board my dog at her place again.”
“Lynda is great! I 100% recommend her. This was my first time leaving my dog meatball somewhere else and I was very nervous since he is an anxious and hyperactive dog. Lynda was very patient with meatball and very communicative, she was also great when it came to introducing meatball with other dogs, meatball was so happy when I picked him up and tired (which is good).”

“I’m just not sure where to start to express my LOVE FOR LIZZY!!!!❤️❤️❤️I was new to Roover and my furbaby Zeus had never been outside of his home without me😩. Lizzy calmed my anxiety so well. She was so warm and inviting and even allowed for us to do a brief meeting a few weeks before our boarding time was set to start. Zeus absolutely loves Lizzy…. She took care of my baby for 5 days.
