“She did a late night and short notice drop in for my boy who was barking and having anxiety and our friend was unreachable. She helped him even tho he was scared since he hadn’t meet her, but she took time and he went to her so well and calmed him down. Even tho I wasn’t there, I saw how sweet and patient she was with him on the camera and I just knew she was great with our boy and pets in general! She saved us a ton of stress! ❤️ definitely will ask her to help in the future and recommend to others.”

“I never thought I could leave my dogs in the care of a stranger . I have 3 toy Aussies and one has severe separation anxiety. 10 minutes in our meet and greet Colt who does not like strangers begged for Hollys attention and brought a toy he rarely plays with . Holly is such a gentle soul!!! I am blessed to have found her.”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure each pet feels cared for and loved. I pay close attention to instructions and love keeping owners updated with photos and messages!! As a teacher, I maintain a structured and dependable routine. During the school year, I’m available evenings and weekends. With summer break approaching, I’ll have a much more flexible schedule and increased availability throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting. I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine to keep things consistent and stress-free. Your pet’s safety and well-being are my top priorities. I provide a calm, secure, and clean environment where pets can feel at ease. I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding, medications, and exercise needs. I’m attentive to behavior and surroundings at all times to ensure your pet stays safe. You can expect regular updates, photos, and clear communication so you always know how your pet is doing :)
“Riley was absolutely fantastic with my two cats! My cats have never had an “outside of the family” sitter before and can be extremely anxious because of this. However, Riley’s care for them made them less anxious and one of my cats, who is very afraid of people she doesn’t know and will hide, actually came out each visit and let Riley pet her multiple times! She also sent updates and photos of my cats, which I really appreciated. Riley is an amazing sitter, so I highly recommend her for all of your pet-sitting needs!”

I also prioritize communication and send regular updates and photos so owners feel at ease while they’re away. I am on summer break from teaching so I am excited to fit my love of pets in, in between my trips and switching schools! I love pets and have a fenced in back yard and a golden of my own! I am used to playing with her and crating her as needed. I look forward to playing with your pet and offering anything you need!
“Bailey was a fantastic pet sitter for my doggie! She was very attentive and sweet while also being appropriately communicative. Not only did bailey accommodate my pet sitting request last minute but she also provided the best service for my pet. Bailey was fantastic and I hope to be able to book her again in the future if ever needed.”

“Kayla was an amazing cat sitter! She made me feel at ease while I was out of town and communicated with me everyday and took lots of pictures. I would definitely recommend booking her!”

About: I am unable to have a pet full time, but I love animals and miss my pets at home. What better way to still spend time with animals than by pet sitting! I have watched various dogs over the years in my home. I have watched many different types of animals with many different needs, both medical and emotional. Your let will not want for pets and snuggles I’m my home. I make it a priority to stick to the feeding and walking schedule given as not to break them from their routine. I’ve watched multiple dogs at the same time (usually from the same family) and am very comfortable with it. I live alone, so the dogs will be only with me in a very family friendly and dog friendly building.

“I hate leaving my dog at home alone for more than a couple hours. Having Megan come and take care of him makes my heart feel so full. She is so great and very reliable!! Thank you Megan !”

I’m a stay home mom so I have plenty of time to take care of others pets along with making sure they get the right amount of exercise! Thank you for your time. About: I grew up surrounded by animals—horses, cats, and dogs—which naturally led to a lifelong love for caring for and working with them. I pursued this passion academically by earning a degree in Animal Science and professionally by spending five years in the horse industry, where I gained experience in veterinary care, herd and barn management, as well as training and showing. I’ve also worked in veterinary clinics, where I developed strong skills in safe pet handling, basic first aid, and administering medications. In addition, I have experience with puppy training and basic obedience, and I’ve completed courses to certify my own dogs as Canine Good Citizens. Now settled with my husband, who is active-duty military, I enjoy providing calm, reliable, home-style care for pets. I treat every animal as if they were my own and strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and well-loved while their families are away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m a stay-at-home mom to one baby boy who already loves his furry “brothers,” which means I’m home most of the day and able to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and care. I live a simple, calm lifestyle and enjoy adjusting to each dog’s needs—whether that’s dedicated playtime for high-energy dogs, structured walks, or a relaxed day with couch time and snuggles. Because I’m home, pets are never left unattended for long and are treated as part of the family during their stay. I live a simple, calm lifestyle and tailor care to each dog’s individual needs. I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, training reinforcement, and medication if needed. High-energy dogs receive dedicated play and enrichment, while more laid-back pets enjoy a relaxed pace with plenty of affection and snuggle time. Because I’m home throughout the day, pets are rarely left alone and are treated like part of the family—kept safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.

“Amanda is a blessing to have taking care of our pup! Each day getting pictures was so fun and they became more animated as our silly girl got more visits in with her. She is knowledgeable and super accommodating. Thank you so much!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
