About: I'm an experienced dog sitter and former dog mom just returning to Rover and accepting new and returning clients! I have decades of experience taking care of dogs, including my own, friends', and dogs in rescues and shelters. I was the dog-walking coordinator for a dog rescue and a dog-walking volunteer for a public shelter for years. I actually grew up afraid of dogs and it was a big deal for me to start volunteering to walk strange dogs; it helped build my confidence, and I was -- and still am -- very attuned to what's going on with the creature at the other end of the leash. I believe every dog has unique needs and temperament and honor these while they're in my care to ensure they feel as secure and safe as possible. DOG SITTING AND BOARDING: I work from home, so your dog will get lots of attention and potty breaks. Your dog is welcome to join me on the couch or lie at my feet for regular pets, or chill in another room in or out of a crate. Whatever will make your dog feel most at ease while you're away. I recently lost my own 15-year-old dog, so your pup will be my sole focus (and will get lots of love and care). I have a fully fenced yard at my home for potty breaks (separate from walks/hikes). If you don't have a fully fenced yard at your home, it's no problem to take your dog for leashed potty walks as frequently as necessary.

About: (Please no dogs bigger than 60 lbs.) I am a retired teacher who loves dogs! Your dog will become part of our family during their stay with access to a fenced yard, a neighborhood park, plenty of walks and lots of snuggles. We have a backyard deck and front porches perfect for lounging and watching the world go by. I would be happy to help take care of any dog that gets along well with other dogs. I have experience with many dog personalities and temperaments from volunteering at Austin Pets Alive and Hood River Adopt-A-Dog. My availability is flexible and I am typically home the majority of the day. I will send frequent pictures and updates while you are away. We are able to watch 2 dogs from the same family, but we do tend to only have pets from one family at a time. We will send a link for a brief survey when we receive your boarding request in order to help us get to know your pup better. We take walks in wooded areas, so we ask that visiting dogs be on a flea/tick preventative. Also, we ask that visiting pups be comfortable negotiating laminate stairs since we live in a 3 story house. Thanks! We are retired and so are available to care for your pup. We will take your dog for a daily walk at one of the many outdoor natural spaces that the area has to offer. We have a fenced back yard which is accessed from the 2nd floor. If your dog prefers to cuddle in a crate, we have a crate.

I have a great passion for pet care and personally understand what its like wanting to make sure they are safe, doing well and have everything they need while you are away. I would love to assist with taking them for walks, feeding them or cleaning the litter box. I'm also okay with cleaning up behind them if they should have an accident. In addition, I would be more than happy to give them some playtime while creating a new friendship. About: I’ve grown up with animals my whole life ranging from my 10 pound puggle to my 108 pound malamute! I have had quite a few dogs growing up and currently house sit/dog sit for family friends. I currently have my cat Mochi of whom I adore! I am just moving to the area so my schedule at the moment is going to be completely open until I start work in Hood River. I make sure that the animals themselves are having a good time and the space that we use looks the same or nicer than when we got there! I love building memories with the animals that will keep them in good spirits until their parents get home

About: I recently moved to the Gorge from Asheville, NC, and I am so excited to meet you and your pups! My deep love for animals began at a very young age. Growing up, I was surrounded by pets of all shapes and sizes -from dogs and cats to farm animals, reptiles, and birds. That lifelong passion led me into a rewarding career in animal care. I have been a full-time professional dog groomer and daycare/boarding specialist for the past 20 years. I also have experience at a veterinary emergency center. In my free time, I would volunteer to walk shelter dogs. I understand that every dog is unique. Over two decades, I have developed extensive experience working with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I specialize in a slow, patient approach for nervous or shy dogs who need extra reassurance, and I am highly experienced in administering necessary medications. I treat every pet like family. My very first dog, an Airedale mix, lived to be 16 and a half years old. She had a long, beautiful life that I attribute to deep love, care, and proper attention. I bring that same standard of love and dedication to every animal I meet. I look forward to meeting you! I am currently a stay at home mom and we enjoy walking and hiking every day! Your pet will be included in everything! I understand some dogs enjoy lazy days too and I’m happy to accommodate that as well. I usually begin my morning with a walk and end it with one before bed. I am available to stay at your home or mine. I base this by whatever will make your pet feel the most comfortable. I have a friendly dog named Gator who misses playing with dogs while I worked at the grooming salon so bad, so I’m sure he’d be excited to join! We love going to the Bingen point “ dog park,”walking around the neighborhood near Daubenspeck park, Catherine creek, North Western, b.z falls, and the klickitat trail!

About: I grew up with all kinds of animals and I am willing do to whatever it takes to make them happy, comfortable, and cared for. I do work varying shifts! Not too long but outside of work I will still provide everything they may need! With lots of pets, play time and going outside! I do have a full yard and I moved to a house so i no longer live in an apartment. I dont have any dogs. Not since I moved out. I watch a beautiful hound when his parents need time away. My parents have two beautiful well taken care of Rottweilers. I have five cats. I feed them good quality food and occasionally do raw food diet when I can afford it. I play with them when I can and they are inside cats.

About: I’m Carina, I’m currently home with my one year old and two sweet senior dogs, Gabby and Roscoe, whose easy pace these days leaves me extra time and love for more pets. I have a background in childcare and outdoor education, so I’m patient, attentive, and good at reading what a dog or cat needs. I offer walks and drop-in visits, and treat every pet like part of the family. I am at home with my one year old, we have a very flexible schedule. We love spending our day with animals and happy to move our schedule around as needed. I offer walks , drop in visit or over night visit. Can’t offer boarding at my house. Communication with me is direct, respectful and easy.

About: I can administer medications, give your pet a bath, clean up yard poop, and be able to spend time with your pets with lots of love! I have several small dogs, I am with them and care for them daily with lots of Tender Love and care!! Time for you to take that vacation without worrying about your babies!! About: Growing up, my family always had cats, dogs, Guinea pigs, ferrets, fish, and more. Being around animals is nothing new to me and is a huge part of why I have a huge heart for animals now. I currently live in BZ Corner in a house with a fenced yard with my two cats, Archie and Oliver, and my golden retriever named Seager. Archie is 4 years old, Oliver is 6 years old, and Seager is a year old. I do work two part time jobs, but I am available most days in the afternoon. Just send me a message and I’ll let you know if I am available! I love all animals! My cats are my babies and I shower them with love. They have lots of toys and even have harnesses for me to take them on walks and two cat trees to climb on. Seager, the newest baby to the family, is my pride and joy. He is crazy but so loving. He gets to go on multiple walks a day and even gets to go down to the waterfront on the weekends. After a walk with your pet, I will make sure your pet has water and place them back where they were before I took them on our walk. I will of course make sure they get their energy out with toys, give them a ton of pets, and make sure they go potty on our walk as well. I do have a large yard, and it is newly fenced! I live far away from the main road and do not have many neighbors.

About: I’m flexible to the care your pets are used to. I’ll cuddle any dog or cat bc let’s face it, they’re better mannered than people. Additional Notes- Weekends: will be away from home/pets 2-4 hours at a time. School year: (Sept-June) I work part time as a substitute teacher). Pet must be able to be alone 6-8 hrs. Please inquire of specific dates as I may be available and modify for longer hours /full day and stay home with your pet. ⭐️💲posted Rate is for 2-3 Day Minimum. Will consider out of range care for additional 💲. Primarily I do overnight pet & home care. Some drop-ins if within my range. The more details and instructions, the better. Please make minimal /basic clean-up tools available/accesible (broom, vacuum, paper towels, dish rag, etc).

About: I have grown up with dogs since I was born, sometimes living with multiple dogs, and animals at once, and never neglecting a single one and always providing lots of love and comfort! We have taken care of friends’ dogs, traveled around the country with them, and genuinely know how to interact and take care of our furry friends. I have lived with grumpier dogs, hyper dogs, large, small and everything in between and have loved every single one. I am patient, reliable person who would like to help make your life easier and ease any stress you may have while traveling, at work, or just out on the town! About: I've taken care of animals of almost every kind for most of my life, both professionally as a Veterinary Technician for more than 15+ years as well as personally with my own pets, which I've had all my life. I truly love animals and have dedicated my life to helping and caring for them and even plan on attending Vet School. I have fostered countless animals, both dogs and cats, as well as more than 35 bottle-fed kittens. I have experience with just about every kind of pet and even those that are senior or those with special requirements such as medications, special diets, and subcutaneous fluid and physical therapy. I have a great deal of experience with animal behavior and have worked with many difficult and even aggressive animals. I currently work on a full-time basis, so I will have plenty of time throughout the week and weekends to dedicate to caring for the most precious members of your family!
