“Raenell was great! I really predicated regular updates during the stay and excellent communication leading up to the stay. My dog returned happy like he was on vacation 🙂. I would recommend Raenell to anyone.”

“This was my first experience boarding my dog, and Laura was amazing! She sent me regular pictures and updates about how my pup was doing, which really helped me relax and know he was ok and having a good time. I also really appreciated that Laura was flexible with drop off and pick up times. My first experience was a very positive one and I would definitely recommend Laura's home to anyone looking for a boarder in the Hood River area!”

“Skye-Ann is fantastic. She gets dogs and dog people. She was very interested in caring for Jep in a way that ensured he had a great stay with her. I have total confidence that he will be safe and happy when staying with her in the future.”

“Our dogs (Dipper and Gizmo) have stayed with Becca and her family multiple times. Becca sends frequent updates and pics of them throughout their stay. One of our dogs needs daily eye medications and Becca has done great with giving them! They have a ton of indoor and outdoor space and always come home tired which means they enjoyed their stay!”

“We never had to leave our dog with a stranger and were a bit apprehensive trusting someone we met on a website to care for our German Shepherd "family member". It's only natural to think that no one will care for our pet like we do. After making a preliminary visit to Charlie's place, it was obvious that he has a lot of experience and insight with dog needs and behavior. Our dog is a high energy, high drive four year old that is used to running our acreage and getting a lot of exercise. While she rules the forest animals, she can be submissive and intimidated by other strong dogs. We were concerned about leaving her with multiple other dogs. Charlie introduced the other dogs slowly so that it wouldn't be overwhelming and took the time to observe her comfort level, waiting until she was ready to meet the others. Charlie takes the dogs on hikes around his property multiple times a day as well as bringing them out to play with the other dogs or chase balls. Charlie also sent photos and videos to keep us updated and show what a good time our dog was having. He also managed the special dietary needs for our dog while she stayed there. We will definitely bring our dog back to stay with Charlie.”

My schedule is very open and I would love to take your pet on adventures in the mountains, so I am able to give them outdoor time as much as you'd like. I can follow your direction for what your pet needs and I will never leave your pet for longer than a couple of hours during the day.
“Cory is wonderful!! Our dog is pretty nervous and hasn't been watched by many different people, she did an excellent job of asking the right questions and setting them up for success. They had a blast! Highly recommend Cory!”

“Emily was so great!! She watched our golden retriever who has a lot of energy and my dog was so tired and happy when I picked her up. Her dogs are so sweet and had so much fun with my dog, and I felt like Emily was really caring and understanding of some diet needs she has. I’ll definitely board with her again!”

“Makenzie took such great care of our 4 month old pup! She was very communicative, sent photos and even taught him how to lay down. I highly recommend Makenzie and look forward to booking with her again!”

“This was our pups first overnight away from his family. Katlyn was a great caregiver to our Ember and even sent us some pictures while we were away. It was also an added bonus that she had a playmate there which was Katlyns dog Luca. I think that helped her feel more at ease and comfortable. A great place to have our dog and will absolutely have her stay there again.”

About: We are a married couple that work from home and have a friendly 3 year old golden retriever and an 11 month Collie Mix. We have decided to host one dog (family) at a time. We are home bodies and our pups love having company. When you book with us feel safe knowing both of us will be at home with your dog and monitoring their safety. We both grew up with family dogs and other pets and we understand the scary feeling of boarding your dog. We are happy to meet and answer any questions before taking in your dog. We will update you daily (at a minimum) of how they are doing, including sending pictures of course. As mentioned, we work from home. Our schedules are very flexible. When we book a stay we plan on staying home and playing with the dogs. We have a fully fenced backyard where our boy Lambeau plays. Your dog will be part of the family and free to roam the house and yard as they please.

Hood River dog parents share their Rover experiences
Our pup had a wonderful time with Amber and her family in their home. Amber was an excellent communicator and very easygoing. It is clear that this is a household that really understands and treasures dogs. I also really appreciated that Amber offered a few observations on our dog’s behavior around other homes/families to help us coordinate with future sitters. 11/10 recommend. Thank you Amber and family!
