Information Laura M. would like to know about your pet
Since we have a dog of our own and take the dogs for daily walks in public, we need to know that a visiting dog is good with other dogs. Personality/temperament, exercise preferences, feeding instructions. We live in a 3 story house, so it is important your dog is comfortable negotiating stairs. The fenced yard for potty breaks is accessed from the second floor with deck stairs.
A typical day
We will walk every day! Indian Creek and the Spit are favorite spots of ours. We have multiple porches and a back deck for hanging out and a little park across the street. One covered couch by the window is the designated dog couch that dogs are allowed on. Other furniture and beds in the house are people only.

Loving, patient and reliable care
Pet care experience
(Please no dogs bigger than 60 lbs.) I am a retired teacher who loves dogs! Your dog will become part of our family during their stay with access to a fenced yard, a neighborhood park, plenty of walks and lots of snuggles. We have a backyard deck and front porches perfect for lounging and watching the world go by. I would be happy to help take care of any dog that gets along well with other dogs. I have experience with many dog personalities and temperaments from volunteering at Austin Pets Alive and Hood River Adopt-A-Dog. My availability is flexible and I am typically home the majority of the day. I will send frequent pictures and updates while you are away. We are able to watch 2 dogs from the same family, but we do tend to only have pets from one family at a time. We will send a link for a brief survey when we receive your boarding request in order to help us get to know your pup better. We take walks in wooded areas, so we ask that visiting dogs be on a flea/tick preventative. Also, we ask that visiting pups be comfortable negotiating laminate stairs since we live in a 3 story house. Thanks! We are retired and so are available to care for your pup. We will take your dog for a daily walk at one of the many outdoor natural spaces that the area has to offer. We have a fenced back yard which is accessed from the 2nd floor. If your dog prefers to cuddle in a crate, we have a crate.
Reviews

Laura was great with Raven, and very communicative, keeping me informed of how she was settling in. I appreciated knowing how well Raven was doing on her first visit. We will be back!

Laura was so kind to watch our dog last minute while we were in the Hood River area. She updated us during the day and Benji seemed to have a great time. We will definitely use her again if we’re in the area!
Laura was great! She welcomed Duke into her home & family and took him on SO many local adventures while we were away. It was wonderful to get photos of their rambles while we were away! I really appreciate Laura's thoughtful attention with Duke. I highly recomend her to anyone looking for a loving active carer for their dog.

Laura and Brian were wonderful- and Buddy was the perfect companion dog for Tui during her stay. After lots of off-leash walks at the Spit and snuggles on the couch, I’m sure we’ll be back.
