About: I'm an experienced dog sitter and former dog mom just returning to Rover and accepting new and returning clients! I have decades of experience taking care of dogs, including my own, friends', and dogs in rescues and shelters. I was the dog-walking coordinator for a dog rescue and a dog-walking volunteer for a public shelter for years. I actually grew up afraid of dogs and it was a big deal for me to start volunteering to walk strange dogs; it helped build my confidence, and I was -- and still am -- very attuned to what's going on with the creature at the other end of the leash. I believe every dog has unique needs and temperament and honor these while they're in my care to ensure they feel as secure and safe as possible. DOG SITTING AND BOARDING: I work from home, so your dog will get lots of attention and potty breaks. Your dog is welcome to join me on the couch or lie at my feet for regular pets, or chill in another room in or out of a crate. Whatever will make your dog feel most at ease while you're away. I recently lost my own 15-year-old dog, so your pup will be my sole focus (and will get lots of love and care). I have a fully fenced yard at my home for potty breaks (separate from walks/hikes). If you don't have a fully fenced yard at your home, it's no problem to take your dog for leashed potty walks as frequently as necessary.

I live just outside White Salmon, WA, with easy access to scenic walking trails and a spacious yard for playtime. I’ve volunteered as a puppy raiser for a nonprofit that trains service dogs, successfully raising four pups for their important roles. During the summer, my home is pet-free as my partner and our dog travel south, meaning your furry friend will have my undivided attention. I used Rover years ago when I was on a work assignment in CA. Since then, I have been caring for foster dogs and friends' pets. About: Growing up, my family always had cats, dogs, Guinea pigs, ferrets, fish, and more. Being around animals is nothing new to me and is a huge part of why I have a huge heart for animals now. I currently live in BZ Corner in a house with a fenced yard with my two cats, Archie and Oliver, and my golden retriever named Seager. Archie is 4 years old, Oliver is 6 years old, and Seager is a year old. I do work two part time jobs, but I am available most days in the afternoon. Just send me a message and I’ll let you know if I am available! I love all animals! My cats are my babies and I shower them with love. They have lots of toys and even have harnesses for me to take them on walks and two cat trees to climb on. Seager, the newest baby to the family, is my pride and joy. He is crazy but so loving. He gets to go on multiple walks a day and even gets to go down to the waterfront on the weekends. After a walk with your pet, I will make sure your pet has water and place them back where they were before I took them on our walk. I will of course make sure they get their energy out with toys, give them a ton of pets, and make sure they go potty on our walk as well. I do have a large yard, and it is newly fenced! I live far away from the main road and do not have many neighbors.
About: I currently have a pup of my own who I have been training. She still has work to do. I have spent years prior to that being the house/animal sitter back home in West Virginia. I work part time. I am a teacher during the school year. In the summer I just work 5 hours 2 days a week at a local winery. I usually walk/bike my dog every morning before work. On days I do not, I try to get her out on a longer walk or swim when the weather is really hot. I have a very flexible schedule in the summer to fit in other animals. I am pretty vigilant when it comes to my own dog. I try to make sure she gets plenty of exercise. She needs it. I love getting her socialized with older and younger dogs. I have even taken my pup to school with me to socialize best with my students are blind. I would follow the care needs set forth by the dog/cat parents. Please be sure to give special instructions if needed.

walkers on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
