“I booked Sydney when my pup was on crate rest after an IVDD injury and I needed someone to come check on her while I was at work and administer her medications. My dog is not an easy pill taker and Sydney did a fabulous job every time. It was such a relief to have Sydney there to check on my baby. I have already re-booked her to play and potty my pup while I’m at work!”

“Brooke took wonderful care of my cats, Mochi and Casa, during five drop-in visits. She was reliable, punctual, and gave me great peace of mind while I was away. I really appreciated the updates and photos she sent after each visit. I would definitely book Brooke again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and currently care for my own energetic 1-year-old pup. I’m experienced with all ages and love giving dogs the attention, care, and playtime they need. Your pet will be treated like family! As a bartender who mostly works nights, my mornings and afternoons are wide open — perfect for walks, playtime, and check-ins. I love being outside and walking, so spending that time with dogs makes it even better. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I enjoy giving each pup the attention they deserve. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I focus on keeping them safe, happy, and comfortable. I follow their usual routine as closely as possible—walks, feeding times, play, and downtime. In my home, pets have a cozy, dog-friendly space with plenty of love and supervision (plus a playful pup to keep them company if they enjoy dog friends). In a client’s home, I respect their space and make sure their pet feels secure and cared for while you're away.
About: I can adapt to what the pet needs and makes them most secure. Open to customizing care based on their circumstances to make them comfortable. I’m in my “third act” and no longer desire a full time professional career. I love to be active, care for cats and go on walks. My schedule is flexible and I won’t overbook or over commit in order to provide the best care for your pet. I am very clean and efficient and will stay focused on pet care. I will respect your home as if it were my own and do the job you entrust me to do.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
