About: Registered Veterinary Technician who works emergency medicine on the weekends looking for extra work through the week. I can’t stay at your house overnight, but your pet can come to mine. I can also do drop ins pretty regularly. I graduated college with a degree in Veterinary technology and passed my state boards. I work at an emergency clinic in Atlanta on the weekends and right now I’m free through the week. I can try my best to work out whatever you need help with. I’m skilled at giving medications and anything basic your pet may need in home, as well as lifesaving care due to any emergency. I can keep non child friendly cats in a different area, but dogs must be child friendly. I do have cats & ferrets, but they can be kept separately if your animals are not cat & small rodent friendly. I have 2 dogs as well. All of my animals are pet friendly with everything as many animals have come through my care fostering. I'm skilled in exotic pet care as well if necessary. I currently only work weekend overnights in the ER. So, I am home all week caring for my fur babies. As well as yours hopefully! I strive to care for anyone's else's pets exactly as I would my own. When they are with me, they are my babies too. I bring my ER compassion with me when I pet sit, in the ER the pets are without their owners & they are scared on top of being hurt. While my pet sits may not be hurt, I'm aware they could be nervous & unfamiliar. I try to treat them with the upmost compassion & kindness.

About: I’m a fun loving dog sitter. I love playing with dogs, walking with them, and giving them tummy rubs. Being lazy is another quality I’m good at when me and the dog(s) don’t have anything better to do. I really do love animals. Their like fluffy teddy bears. Dogs deserve all the love and attention in the world. Weather they act crazy or not If the dog misbehaved then I would lightly pop it on the nose and say no but if the dog was nice then I’d give it tummy rubs

I work from home, so I’m available to give my attention to fur babies all throughout the day. Your animals would be free to play all day. About: I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs and cats, including large breeds and senior pets. I’m comfortable giving medications, keeping an eye on older pets, and cleaning up accidents if they happen outside their normal potty area. I’ve also cared for multiple pets at once, looked after regular clients long-term, and handled unexpected situations when they come up. I’m happy to do overnight stays, too. I know every pet has their own personality, routine, and little quirks, and I’m totally okay with that. If your dog needs a certain routine before bed, your cat has a specific way they like to eat, or you have some funny little ritual that keeps them happy, I’ll happily follow it. I’m also happy to keep you updated with pictures and messages while you’re away, so you always know how your pets are doing. Whether they need a long walk, some playtime, extra attention, or just someone to hang out with, I’m happy to match their energy. I’m especially patient with shy or nervous pets and will always let them warm up to me at their own pace. I’m also happy to help with things around the house while I’m there, like bringing in mail or taking out the trash. If something unexpected or concerning comes up, I’ll contact you right away and follow whatever instructions you’ve left for emergencies. Before a booking, I’m more than happy to meet you and your pets so you can show me their routine and I can get to know them a little. My goal is simple: keep your pets comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away, and give you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I have a very flexible schedule and can usually work around whatever your pets need. I’m happy to do mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight stays. I’m single with very few scheduling restrictions, so I’m able to be pretty flexible and accommodate different routines and last-minute needs when I can. My goal is to make things as easy and convenient as possible for both you and your pets. Your pet’s safety and well-being are my top priority. I’m happy to go over a clear emergency plan with you before a stay, including your preferred vet, emergency contact, and exactly what you’d like me to do if something unexpected happens. I currently don’t have any pets of my own at home. I recently lost my childhood pet, so having a companion around would honestly be something I’d really enjoy. Your pet would have my full attention and be treated like my own while they’re here. I’m also very aware of potential pet hazards, including toxic plants and unsafe household items, and I’m happy to follow any specific safety instructions or routines your pet needs.

About: I’ve cared for my two Aussies for over 6 years and my cat for more than 9 — we’ve shared countless outdoor adventures and even traveled through parts of Europe together! I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and nothing makes me happier than playing with them, helping them burn off energy, and snuggling up for cozy indoor days. Your pet will be treated like family — loved and cared for as if they were my own! I have 3 years of on/off use with Rover. I am currently at home full time until late June, and then unavailable until August with military training. My days with your pet are very flexible! I’ve recently moved back to my lovely hometown in North Georgia, where I now have 3 acres of fully fenced pasture and backyard space for pets to run, explore, and play safely. It’s the perfect environment for dogs who love being outdoors while still having a cozy home to relax in. No part of my home is off limits—we love snuggling on the couch or in bed. Dogs must be comfortable with cats!

Stephanie was amazing with Teddy while we explored the city! You can tell how much she loves and cares for dogs. We had been traveling with Teddy for over two weeks, and she even gave him a bath so he was clean and fresh when we picked him up. It gave us great peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I highly recommend her!

We had our three dogs spend a day with Kathrine while we were visiting the North Georgia Wildlife & Safari Park during a week long stay at Unicoi State Park. They say they each give Ms. K four paws up for a fantastic visit for a total of 12 paws up. We unfortunately got a flat tire just before reaching her house, so we had to do a tire repair there and we got to see how quickly our pups calmed down around her as a new person and being in a new location. We definitely would not hesitate to use her again.

About: As lifelong dog lovers, we know how important it is to feel confident leaving your pets in someone else’s care. We had two sweet dogs of our own for 14 and 12 years, and they were truly part of our family. Spoiled , loved, and very well cared for. We understand that every dog deserves patience, attention, safety, and lots of love while their owners are away. Your pup will be welcomed into our home like one of our own, with plenty of care, affection, and a comfortable environment to help them feel safe and happy. Pet care naturally fits into our daily routine because we genuinely enjoy having dogs around and caring for them. We’re home every day and used to structuring our days around feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and giving dogs plenty of attention and affection throughout the day. Our home is calm, safe, and pet-friendly, and we understand the importance of consistency and routine for dogs while their owners are away. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I always focus on making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I understand that every pet has their own routine, personality, and needs, so I do my best to keep things consistent and stress-free for them while their owners are away. In my home, pets will have a calm, clean, and welcoming environment with plenty of attention, potty breaks, playtime, and affection throughout the day. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I’ll respect their space while making sure their pets stay comfortable in their familiar routine and environment. My goal is always to care for every pet as if they were my own.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Homer commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 272 sitters in Homer, 83% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
