“My puppy, Miss Daisy, met Jennifer today. She has separation anxiety and is only 10 months old. I had no worries leaving my home and found her in great spirits upon my return. She paid extra attention to her with a couple of walks and lots of cuddling, too. Thanks, Jennifer, you will hear from me soon!”

“Stacey was amazing with our dog Buster! We are new to the area and it’s extremely comforting to know that we have someone we can trust and can count on! We will use her again and highly recommend her for your pets care.”

About: I’ve always had a dog in my life. From Great Danes, Labradors, and Havanese, I’ve trained all the ages from puppies to adults, and I’m very experienced in pet care. As I am a college student, not only am I very active but am very free to respond to not only pet needs but their owners as well! I am available most weekends and holidays to care for your pets but I can make accommodations based on what works the best for you. I am home for the summer from college and thus am extremely available to help out at anytime while also providing attentive care to your pets. I will care for your pets in their home according to your requirements. I will ensure the utmost care and safety for your fluffy animals.
About: I have had fur babies my whole life. I'm mature, dependable, trustworthy, and love pets. I have the time, patience, and energy to give your furry family members the dedicated attention they deserve. I will prioritize their safety, routine and happiness above all else. I have property rentals that don't take much of my daily time so I have plenty of time to take care of your fur babies. My goal will be to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible while you are away. I will have a small list of questions, so we cover everything. I will send you a daily photo and updates, so you don't worry. I will keep your home clean, secure and exactly how you left it.
“Alexandra did a fantastic job with our two cocker spaniels, including our energetic puppy. She spent quality time playing with them, took them outside, and made sure they got treats and attention. It’s clear she’s very comfortable handling both puppies and active adult dogs. Our 3 year old can be a handful, and she handled both of them with ease. We came home to two happy, well cared for pups. We’d definitely book her again!”

About: Since I can remember as a little girl, I’ve always had a passion & drive to take care of animals and really interact & get to know them. Each has their own personality that are just so fun to explore. From as small as anoles and 3 week old kittens, up to as big as Great Danes & large parrots, I’ve cared for everything and I love getting to know each pet! [small fee for meet & greets past 12 miles (~over 30 minute drive) for fuel, thank you!] Currently, my schedule is free! Looking to try to get into this full time, but anything dealing with animals is my focus! My schedule is very open right now and i’m open to anytimes! I will definitely get to know your pet first, go slow with them and just build a positive, playful rapport with them so they truly get to trust me. Anything you or your pet needs, please let me know and I definitely am so willing to make it happen! I care that your pet is comfortable and happy with me!!

I’ve been working in animal care for over 5 years now I’ve worked at a doggy daycare/boarding facility and vet hospitals and I moved down to Florida recently from North Carolina. Currently taking care of your pets is my full time job so my schedule is always open and I’d love to get to know you and your fur babies! Walking the pets, giving them all the kisses and cuddles they want, making sure they have play time, giving them fresh water and food as well if needed.

I have taken care of different family members’ dogs and love to play and snuggle with them! I work part time and my days vary so I will make my availability around my work hours. When I do not work, I have full availability and can coordinate with you how often I should see your pet! I’m very flexible with the wants of the client! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority! About: I currently work at a doggy daycare, and I have walked/sat for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I understand dog behavior and can tell what they need! I currently work at a doggy daycare and spend most of my time with the pups there. When I am not there, I am available to take dogs on walks, do drop-ins, and house sit. Whenever I have free time, I am happy to take your dog for a walk or drop in for a visit! I focus on creating a safe, calm, and positive environment for every pet I care for, while also making sure they’re having a good time! During walks, I stay very alert to my surroundings, keep dogs on secure leashes, and pay close attention to their body language and behavior. I’ve worked with all kinds of dogs at a busy doggy daycare, so I’m comfortable handling different energy levels, personalities, and even the occasional stubborn walker. For drop-in visits, I stick to each pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and stress-free. That includes feeding, fresh water, cleaning up if needed, and giving them attention based on what they like, whether that’s playtime, belly rubs, or just hanging out. I try to make visits something they actually look forward to, not just a quick check-in. I also make sure everything is secure before I leave, doors, gates, and anything else that keeps them safe. On top of that, I keep communication open with owners by sending updates and photos, so you know your pet is not only safe, but also happy!!!
About: I’ve been doing dog/cat sitting since I was 13! I have worked in a boarding facility for over a year now. I’m cpr certified as well :) I do dog/cat sitting full time, I’m out of school so your furry friends will have my attention 100% of the time! About: My tagline is how I see pets - they are family! I grew up having dogs, cats, bunnies, and fish. When I moved to Florida 5 years ago, I didn’t have any family so I decided to pick up pet sitting. I understand the importance of catering to each animal’s needs. If your pet is laid back and wants cuddles, we can do that. If your pet is energetic and needs to run, we can do that too! I look forward to meeting you and your furry fam 😊 I currently have a full time job M-F, 8-5 that is flexible with working from home. There are rare times where I need to go into the office, so I require that your pet is fine being alone for 4-8 hours. I also have a dog and cat who are friendly with other dogs and cats. My dog is 2 and loves to play. When boarding, I have ample space to set up your pet’s crate, bed etc in the living room or bedroom if they typically keep it there. I’m a big cuddler, so I am fine with them sleeping in the bed if that is what they are used to. I have a fully fenced in backyard, so rest assured your pets can run free safely. I also just purchased a kiddie pool for fun water days in the hot summer heat!
About: I have had an animal in my house since I was born. At the most I was caring for my 3 cats and dog. I am comfortable walking both large and smaller dogs. Additionally, I love cats and would be comfortable caring for them as well. I will love your animals as if they were my own fur babies. I live in Bradenton, Florida and im currently a remote law student working from Home. I look forward to meeting some animals and taking care of them as if they were my own! The house is smoke free, child free and animal free. There is a pool here if your dog is a big swimmer and large backyard they can run around and play fetch in.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Holmes Beach
Jennifer was an absolute lifesaver! She stepped in at the very last minute after my mom’s flight was canceled, leaving us without the help we had planned for Phoebe’s care. She was reliable, compassionate, and gave us so much peace of mind during a very stressful time. We are beyond grateful and would absolutely recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
