About: I had my dog since I was just in elementary and I was one of his main care takers. I grew up with him so he was my world who sadly passed away nearing 2 years ago. Pets to most people, such as myself, are like family so I understand the importance of finding someone trust worthy and who will care of your dog as if it were their own. About: Working with animals have always been my passion ever since I was little, and now I have the privilege to obtain a degree in animal science spring ‘27! I have dog sat for friends and family for certain occasions, even have been a vet assistant at an animal clinic:) I have been working there for about 2 years now, I am trained to give vaccines, medicine, you name it! About: I have loved dogs ever since I got my first dog at age 6. They are the most loving animals and since I can’t have pets in my apartment I believe this is the best way to enjoy them. I did use to have a dog that passed away a few years ago. I was studying to be a veterinarian in college and because of that I have lots of experience taking care of pets. I also use to walk my aunt's dogs and when she was out of town I would go and take care of her 2 German Shepherds. I have always felt like my dogs have always been there for me when I was not feeling myself and because of that I want to give back and help out people that own dogs now that I can’t have anything. About: Dogs have always been a part of my life. Family I'd visit growing up and still visit have had 10 dogs featuring 8 different breeds, from Chihuahuas to Pitbulls. I've raised and basic-trained 3 puppy rescues since 2001, saw 2 of them to seniority (Chihuahua and Jack Russel-Chihuahua mix), and raised the most recent (Pug) until 2024 when I blessed close family members with her because they have a huge yard she adores and want her to be happy. Absolutely wonderful experience! Andrea was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced with dogs. Lorretta was great! We needed a sitter last-minute do to our previous sitter being unavailable. Lorretta lived nearby, so she was able to visit on a consistent schedule and give our dog and cat a sense of normalcy while we were gone. Good communicator and good picture/video taker!
This was my first time booking through Rover in hopes of finding someone that can care for my puppy while I’m away and I found Alyssa. She was very kind and patient. I feel like she tried her best even though my puppy is a high energy stubborn puppy. She tried to make him as comfortable as possible. I did have a slight suggestion and that would be just to communicate better and interact with the puppy as much as possible to make it a smoother process. Dogs feed off our energy.
