“We are here from out of town. We rarely leave our fur babies so we were looking for the best care for them. I found NOLA and her reviews were really good. We left them with her for 4 days and they did fine. Loved getting updates and pictures of them. Very pleased with the care they received from Nola and Rick. Would definitely recommend them. We are using them again for 2 weeks.”

“Stephany and Jean took care of my pup as if she was their own. Im trully grateful to find them and that they were so kind with my dog while we were away. Would deff recommend. Thank you for a great service.”

“Thank you Leneta & Don for taking such good care of Dolly. She was obviously very happy staying with you which is comforting to know. Looking forward to future bookings with you.”

“Kailyn was awesome with my dogs!! They’ve been “hungover” all day after spending the weekend at her house! One became obsessed with one of her toys and she let him keep it! She is clearly a loving dog person and my dogs can’t wait for their next vacation!”

“Elisa was wonderful! Our black lab, Jake, got to spend 5 days at her house. She is very kind and attentive. I am grateful for her services. 💙 It was a great first experience leaving our pet with someone other than family. Highly recommend!”

“Laura sent us updates on a daily basis and plenty of pictures! It was very comforting to know that my little Lady was not only safe but enjoying herself and having tons of fun with her new doggy friends.”

“Silvia and her family did a superior job taking care of our Westie. He was outdoors, as well as indoors and interacted with her dogs and was well-cared for. It was the first time he was away from his home in 7 years.”

“Stephanie took great care of my pup for an overnight! And was super flexible about scheduling - on a holiday weekend no less! :) Would absolutely use again.”

“Thank you for having our dog Finn. Julia was very nice and sent pictures and video. We love that our dog had other dogs to play with. She took very good care of our dog and we would highly recommend.”

“Anna was great with our dog. I loved that she texted us pictures and videos multiple times a day. You can tell she loves dogs and truly cares for the dogs she takes care of. Will absolutely be using her in the future!”

“Angie is fantastic and she communicates well through texting and the rover app. She kept me informed of how my dog is doing often and takes photos. He ate all of his dog food which is rare as he used to be sad at other places. Toby was happy staying with them and felt loved. Her husband is great too. We will be using them again.”

“Erica was great. Our puppies had so much fun. Loved getting the pics and messages about how the dogs were doing while we were away. We'll use Erica again in the future.”

“I can’t say enough about Sarah! She was absolutely wonderful. I had to extend several times and she was so accommodating. Thank you Sarah for taking care of my boys! You are the best!”

“Kaelyn did an amazing job watching our German Shepherd! She gave her so much love and attention, played with her, and took her on plenty of walks. We could tell our dog had such a great time because she was so sad when she got home—we could already tell she missed Kaelyn! 🥹❤️ We felt completely comfortable leaving our fur baby with her and would absolutely recommend Kaelyn to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their dog!”

“My dog gets extremely stressed with storms and I had left not expecting one and Pepper didn’t have anything to ease her. She kept Sam awake until 3AM. Sam took loving care of my girl. I felt so bad, but Sam said she just felt bad for Pepper and not herself. I will always have medicine available from now on. Thank you Sam.”

About: I've taken care of animals my entire life. Cats, dogs, birds, iguanas, ferrets and a few farm animals too. I was involved in an animal rescue group for several years, fostering many animals who had health issues. I firmly believe that all animals deserve love, shelter, safety, and food. I fall in love with almost every animal I meet! Even chickens! When I'm taking care of an animal, they get a majority of my attention and affection. I do some work from home so it should blend well. I like to meet with the owners and pets a couple of times before to be sure the animals are familiar with me and learn any important information for each pet. I try to follow the owners routine so that the pets are not confused.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Holder home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Holder.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Holder sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
