“Chynna took great care of my Junie while I was away. She followed all instructions, sent me lots of photos, and kept me informed on how Junie was doing on their walks. I will definitely be using Chynna again for any dog sitting needs!”

“It was a pleasure working with Shannon during her first visit to our home to walk our dog. Her communication was excellent, she responded to my booking request and to my texts quickly and set my mind at ease that she would take good care of our dog and she did. I also really appreciated her summary of the visit and photos. I look forward to her next visit.”

About: I’m the family pet sitter because not only do I follow their routine but I make sure my sweeties are loved and entertained. I’m a nursing assistant part time so I have loads of hospitality experience! I’m a nursing assistant part time I’m usually working weekends which makes me more available during the week to stop by or even sit and entertain your sweeties! I don’t have a fenced backyard and my pup is a little feisty so i’d prefer to come to them but that just allows your pup to stay in the comfort of their home and again I have experience with doing drop ins for plenty of my family & friends!
“Absolutely wonderful! Flexible, came early when I asked, was so perfect with the dogs, easy to work with, accommodating, professional, got the job done and gave 110%! I have two tired pups!”

“Mel did an outstanding job with our dog, Buster. She did everything we asked her to do, but most importantly, she truly loved our pet. We will be calling on Mel for future dog sitting! Thank you Rover for helping us find her!”

About: I've had one dog for 17.5 years and currently am the proud mama of two doggies now. They are my world and deserve the best. During my work breaks, I come home to hang out with the pups and give them plenty of time to get fresh air and smells outside. When given instructions by an owner, I am very thorough in how I follow them. If there are specific feeding instructions, I do not defer from the needs of the dog. I'd never leave a dog unattended when letting them outside and am always sure to keep a keen eye on them, as I do this with my own dogs at home. Although I am never lax when it comes to established rules of care, I still like to have fun with the pets and definitely will talk to them with baby voice!
“Heather was absolutely amazing with our sweet but skittish dog! She took very great care of her and made sure she got plenty of sniffs in! Heather also took my last minute booking which was incredible! We will definitely be rebooking!!”

“Rachel has been my weekly sitter for about 3 months now, my pup and I both love her!!! I’ve seen a huge change in my dogs personality of being much happier since Rachel came into our lives. She takes him on nice LONG walks, takes great pictures, and is so so sweet and understanding of schedule changes. You will not be disappointed in having her watch your fur babies!!”

“Nevaeh walks my dogs once a day and it is such a retro know that she is there for them while I am at work. She is an absolute sweetheart and even my more stand offish dogs loves her. Could not recommend met more!”

About: Hi there! I am a bunny lover of 3 years now and I recently graduated college, so I have a lot more time now to care for more pups. I’ve always loved fur babies, but unfortunately couldn’t get one bigger than my Shego. I am hoping to build fun and loving relationships with some fur babies! I currently work the evening shift during the week. With this schedule I am available Monday-Friday before 1pm and all day on Saturday and Sunday! I am very playful and extroverted so I will love as much play time and cuddles as possible. I am also athletic so walks and runs with your baby will be perfect!

About: I’ve been dog-sitting for about 5 years now. I’ve mainly taken care of small to medium sized dogs but I’m open to looking after larger dogs as well. I am very reliable and have a lot of energy to keep your dog entertained throughout the day. I love going for walks and and going to dog parks if allowed by the owner. I live in an apartment and it’s dog-friend and the apartment has a dog area where they can relieve themselves. I live in a studio apartment but there’s plenty of open space where your pup can lounge around. I’m very attentive of your dogs needs, so I stay on top of taking them out for walks and making sure their water bowl is kept full and following their feeding schedule. Also open to grooming and showering your dog, especially if they are staying overnight with me. If your pup is energetic and loves to play we will be a great match!!
About: Hi, my name is Alex! I go by they/them pronouns, mostly. I’ve been around every kind of animal at least once, and I’ve had all the pets you can imagine! I’ve been around animals even before I was born and I know how to read their moods like second nature. I used to work at Holiday Pet Barn, and I’ve only ever had jobs with animals. I get along with them better than people! I love sitting back with pets and curling up with them for a nap or a cuddle session; they’re the best cuddlers. I also enjoy watching dogs run around and play or chase a ball. Yuki loves to play fetch, so dogs at my house will always have a playmate with her! I have cats and dogs of my own, but the cats tend to keep to themselves. I will only board dogs who are alright with cats and get along with other dogs. Mine are always happy to see a new face. It’s easy for me to view other pets as my own and I’ll treat them as such. I guarantee they’ll be safe and happy. I hope they love my furry kids too! Pet care is my full time job now, but if I am watching your pet, I will sleep at your house to be with them as much as I can. When boarding at my house, if I’m not around, my mom will be, so the animals are rarely ever alone. Despite possibly jumping between different pets, I can guarantee no animal will go more than 5 hours without a potty break. I also have friends who can help me out in an emergency. I treat every animal like my own, including calling them dummies when they do something goofy! I let animals on the furniture (in my home), and if they are bad, they can be reprimanded and crated. My cats avoid most animals that come over, but some of them love dogs. Additionally, we have feral cats that we have adopted outside our house, so any dog coming over MUST be alright with cats. I currently do pet care full-time, so when I am watching your pets I am with them the entire time. The only time I would not be with your fuzzy kids is when I have to go run errands/check on other pets. I do my best to treat every animal I watch like they are my own. This means lots of cuddles and playtimes, along with paying careful attention to their needs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
