“Amazing! I can’t say enough about how well she took care of our girls. I have already rebooked for our next trip. Not only does she treat the girls as family but she also works with training. We have a young pup so training has been out top priority. Highly recommended❤️❤️❤️”

“Sheila and Tim were wonderful! They sent pictures throughout the day, kept us apprised of activities, and made us feel comfortable that our pups were in caring hands. We highly recommend them!”

“Thomas, Elizabeth and their pups did such a wonderful job housing our two dogs! We received updates with images daily and felt confident in our choice. We definitely will book with them again!”

“This was the best rover experience I’ve had. We felt completely comfortable leaving our dog with Lauren and her sweet family. We received pics of Mia having the time of her life. So caring in her updates and we loved knowing that Mia was getting plenty of outdoor time, love, and attention!! Thank you so much !!!”

“Patty was an amazing sitter. She took amazing care of our fur baby family with all the love in the world, even sharing the bed! Patty followed all the directions and we couldn’t be happier and will certainly have her again and recommend her to others.”

“Lauren was absolutely amazing with our pup!! I couldn't recommend her more!! She is SO kind and caring. I could tell from the moment we had a meet and greet with her and her pups. She provided us daily updates on our pup and treats your pets just as she does her own. I was so relieved to find someone that I can trust our beloved furbaby with from now on. I was kind of upset that my pup wasn't more excited to come home, but that's just a reflection of the good time she had on her little vacay!! 🤣 Highly recommend Lauren for all your fur baby care!!”

“Holly is a terrific and experienced dog sitter. She made us feel so comfortable leaving our dog in her care and was very flexible with pickup/dropoff times. She also sent us pictures to keep us updated. We would book her again if we were in the area.”

“Gabby is awesome! She took such loving care of our dog, offering updates and adorable photos throughout the stay. Came back to a happy and well-cared-for pet. Highly recommend Gabby!”

“Jennifer was great and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants their dog well taken care of. She provided constant updates, gave him lots of play time, and sent plenty of pictures of him having a blast while I was away. Will definitely be using her again in the future.”

“Michelle was absolutely amazing! I couldn’t recommend anyone more for your dog sitting needs. We are very thankful we had her available to watch Mocha! She gave great updates and provided lots of pictures.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every shape and size since I was born. I was an infant cuddling with our massive doberman! My friends, family, and neighbors always knew they had a reliable pet sitter as long as I was around. I also ran on Harrisonburg Rescue Squad as an EMT for about 2 years, which has taught me excellent hard and soft skills in the case of an emergency. I’m working part time right now, so I’m able to spend as much time as needed with your lovely pooches (or other animals)! I mostly work nights on the weekends, but am able to adapt my schedule, if needed. :) I absolutely respect a given owner’s rules for their pets. In my own home, we raised our pit bull to listen and be intentional, and he is an amazing boy. In my client’s homes, I will treat their animals with the utmost respect, while enforcing the necessary house rules. I can promise you that I will treat your pet(s) like my own and give them the love they deserve!

“Jordan was amazing. In her profile she mentions last-minute options & that saved our last minute trip. I'm new to Rover & expected people's availability was accurate but over a dozen people provided bad info. She accepted hours before we dropped our dog with her. She was kind & brought my dog on errands & Starbucks for a pup cup.😂 Her location is super convenient driving from Arlington to 81 on 66. She has a few children that loved playing with Opal. She didn't introduce her dog with ours which is fine. Would definitely reach out again if we go that way.”

“I really like the fact that Lucy only watches one dog at a time. No cages or kennels were used, and our dog was allowed to be on the couch which is what she does at home. I would recommend Lucy”

“Seriously?! Lauren is SO GOOD that Koya ran back into her house after she gave me a *brief* tail wag and hello!!! I've been preparing myself for the day a decade (or more!) from now when my youngest daughter will likely be in love, marry and runaway...BUT I WAS NOT prepared for my 2 year old emotional support puppy to find a boyfriend (and a really handsome one at that - Leo!) and not want to come home! Lol!!! Lauren is the *BEST*!!! I absolutely would NOT want to leave Koya with anyone else!!”

“Whitney was incredible good with my little one. She took care of him very well when I was sick. And Tokyo had a great time with her dog Feather. She sent me lots of pictures and lmk all the time of how was my dog, and I appreciate that very much. Thank you Whitney!!!”

About: Hello! I’ve taken care of family, friends, and co workers pets. I love working with dogs and have taken care of them for 10 years. I work on most week days as a rehab aide, however I have plenty of time on weekends. I love animals specifically dogs and I always make time to make sure my animals are cared for. I live by a park and love taking them on walks during free time. I have a big yard and 2 pet friendly dogs, if your dogs don’t do good with mine I can easily move my dogs somewhere else. I love going on walks so if able your dog will be outside playing around !
“Excellent! When we dropped off our dogs for their first stay, Linda invited us for a walkthrough to see her garden and all the areas of the house the dogs will be in. We felt very comfortable to leave them there and they seemed to have a great time! Thank you Linda”

“Molly was amazing! She cared for Luna for 2 weeks while I had some work trips. I felt very comfortable leaving Luna with Molly during that time, and she kept me updated on how she was doing. Luna was a very happy doggo when I picked her up, so I know she had the best time with Molly. Would definitely recommend Molly to anyone :)”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
