“Jennifer is AMAZING! Very easy to work with, communicates well, and is flexible. She took Lola Rae on two walks a day and sent updates with pictures.”

“Thank you for taking excellent care of Plum!! It was a big help knowing she was in great hands with people who care about her. She’s looking forward to returning! Thank you!”

“Brenda took wonderful care of our dog, Zelda, during our 4 day trip. Zelda can be a finicky eater and also chews up paper, so leaving her with a caring and attentive Rover really helps us be able to travel with ease. Zelda did great under Brenda's care, and came home happy and healthy. I definitely recommend booking with Brenda and will rebook in the future! Thank you so much!”

“Molly was great! We got plenty of updates and pictures throughout the day. One of our boys is slow to warm up and can be grumbly/barky with new people and she was very patient with him and both dogs seemed to have a great time!”

“Tomas was great! We had daily updates and pictures. I could tell Murphy was very comfortable with him (sleeping on his back). We will leave Murphy with Tomas in the future!”

“My 2 year old Springer Spaniel Boxer mix, Edie, had a wonderful time with Jana and her family! When I normally leave Edie at her doggy daycare to travel, she barely eats and seems anxious when I come to pick her up. Not the case this time! Edie ate all the food I had packed for her along with all the treats! She loved running around and puppy style wrestling with Hazel! Jana gave me updates twice a day with pictures and videos of the ladies playing. I truly do believe that Edie had a dog vacay with Hazel and Jana!”

“Wow! My dog Issa’s stay with Richard was the best I could have hoped for. Our first meeting was a relaxed and helpful meet and greet before our trip to make sure Issa would get along with Richard’s dogs (who are super cute by the way). During the stay Richard sent me very frequent updates, pictures, videos. It was obvious Issa warmed up to her new temporary home quickly and got LOTS of love from Richard and his partner. The whole experience exceeded my expectations and I look forward to booking with Richard again.”

“We gotta say, we’ve had rover sitters before (some good, some not so good) but Gregg by far has exceeded all of our expectations. We asked him beforehand if he was okay with one of our reactive and pulley dogs, and he said he was. We set up a meet and greet before booking and both our dogs took to Gregg immediately. He just had such a kind, warm demeanor to him, and although we had other meet and greets scheduled throughout the week, no one even came close to Gregg. The booking itself was exactly what we thought it would be — amazing. Gregg was very communicative, with constant updates/photos/videos throughout the day, was very attentive towards both of our dogs needs, kept them engaged throughout their stay, followed all instructions on feeding/walking times, and even kept a close eye on one of our dogs paw chewing. When we came to pick them up, it was very clear they had a blast with Gregg, and even bonded with him as well!!! Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and because of that, we are just so grateful to have found him!!! He is going to be our go-to sitter going forward, and we know our dogs can’t wait for their next adventure with Gregg!!!”

“Ricco and his family are amazing! Skye is always nervous when we pack, but as soon as we get to his house she perks up and runs right in. She always comes home happy and relaxed. I highly recommend him!”

“Iggy had a blast while staying with Martha and her family, and was happy and relaxed when I picked him after a weekend stay. Martha sent frequent updates and clearly cares a lot for her canine guests. I would definitely recommend her if you're looking for a great sitter.”

“I left my dog with Maria for 8 nights while on a family vacation. I couldn't recommend her enough if you have a small old dog. She took such great care of Napoleon and he had a blast at Maria's house with all the other dogs. Maria is caring, provided daily updates (pics/videos), and is very detail oriented to ensure all dogs are cared for. We will definitely be booking with Maria again for our future boarding needs.”

“My pup had a great time staying with Lorrie and Andrew. Highly recommend, and I will book again. Lorrie and Andrew are easy to work with, had great communication, and sent me lots of pictures of my pup playing and enjoying his stay.”

About: Hi! I’m Lucas, and I’m here to help make life a little easier for you and your pets. I’ve worked with a wide variety of animals over the years, so if you have an unusual companion or a small “animal farm” at home, don’t hesitate to reach out. While I care for animals of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments, my main focus is working with large and powerful dog breeds. I have extensive experience with bully breeds (Pit Bulls, Bulldogs, American Bullies, Staffordshire Terriers) as well as other large dogs like Mastiffs, Great Danes, Boxers, German Shepherds, Great Pyrenees, and other guardian breeds. My goal is to earn your dog’s trust while giving you peace of mind that your pup is in confident and capable hands while you’re away. Many large or strong dogs simply need a calm, consistent handler who understands how to manage their energy and keep walks structured and safe. Small dog owners don’t fret, I still have plenty of love for the little guys too. In fact, I enjoy the contrast of working with both small and large dogs throughout the day. While big dogs are a specialty of mine, I’m always happy to care for dogs of all sizes. If you think I might be a good fit for your pup, feel free to reach out! You can also send a request if you just have questions—I’m always happy to chat and see how I can help. Pet care is my full time job! Rover fits perfectly into my schedule. Currently I do maintain two shifts a week at a Capital Hill Bar: Wednesday & Friday from 9pm-3am. If seeking house sitting or boarding, be advised of this, as well that I maintain a regular walk schedule with a handful of clients M-F and as such will be out of the house for one to four hours at a time. Boarding clients are kept separate while not supervised. House Sit clients are secured by owners instructions. When providing care in my home, I prioritize safety, structure, and a calm environment for every dog. Because of this, I cannot accept every request and require a meet & greet before confirming any boarding or daycare services. This allows us to make sure your dog is a good fit for my home and for my own dog as well. I do have the ability to keep dogs separated if needed, though the ideal situation is that everyone is able to coexist comfortably. If your dog will be staying in my home, please bring the following items so they have familiar comforts during their stay: • Crate and bed (crates are used while dogs are unsupervised and provide a safe, familiar space) • Harness or collar • Daily food portions • Preferred treats (if applicable) • One to three favorite toys • Any required medications with instructions For house-sitting in your home, I ask that owners provide a short written guide outlining your dog’s routine and any important information such as feeding instructions, medication schedules, security codes, and where essential supplies are located. When house-sitting, you can expect: • One to Three walks a day, depending on needs • Enrichment and engagement at home • Respectful care of your home and pets • Daily photo updates and a brief summary of how your pet is doing Please note that while your pet will receive attentive and reliable care, I do maintain a schedule outside of pet care as well. Constant 24/7 supervision (“constant care”) is not included in standard bookings unless arranged in advance. Pets requiring a higher level of supervision may require adjusted rates. Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to meeting you and your pup.

“Kesorn is a wonderful person and always provides something extremely valuable when we travel: Peace of mind. She cares for our rowdy terriers as her own and manages their sometimes "difficult" behavior very well. The daily updates and pictures are always appreciated. Thank you again, Kesorn!”

“I had such a wonderful experience with Jin & her family! They were incredibly caring, attentive, and loving with my dog. I felt completely at ease knowing my fur baby was in such good hands. I got daily updated with the cutest pictures. I truly appreciate the care and kindness they showed and would highly recommend them to any family looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter! I’m sure my pup can’t wait to go back & visit!”

“Laila took AMAZING care of our dog while we were away for the weekend. Our dog had some digestive issues a few hours after we left him with Laila and we were extremely worried. Laila took him to the emergency vet and everything ended up being okay. She kept us very well-updated with photos and videos as well as calling us to talk to the emergency vet. I’m so grateful that our dog was in such good hands. We would absolutely book with Laila again and highly recommend her to anyone out there who is looking for a sitter. We would give her 10 stars if we could!”

“This was our first long stay and it went great! Got great daily updates with photos and videos of Rupee. Rupee looked very well cared for and seemed to have a blast.”

“Tu was phenomenal throughout the entire process. Took care of my other half as though it were her own. And the updates/images of his wellbeing were appreciated. T/Y”

Lauren was a pleasure to work with. She was flexible, responsive and most importantly took great care of my dog Dante. Her dog Lottie was a great companion for my dog as well. In fact, when I went to pick up my dog, he loved it so much that he hunkered down in Lottie’s bed as a protest to leaving 😂

Miriam (and Betty) were great! We were extremely nervous about leaving Max as this was our first time boarding him. Miriam eased our fears with frequent updates and pictures. She was very easy to communicate with from beginning to end and responded to messages promptly. We’re so glad to have found someone Max was comfortable with. 😊

Tomas took great care of Floyd while we were away last weekend. He sent pictures throughout the stay which we appreciated and Floyd seemed totally at ease when we picked him up. It’s obvious that Tomas pays attention and takes great care of the dogs he’s watching. Would definitely book again!

Michelle and Scott were amazing with our dogs Lola (4) and Marty (7)! Daily picture updates showed them happy and settled in for the 9 days they were in their care. We are so grateful that they were able to care for them again because we were able to take a vacation we planned over a year ago. And we aren’t able to go away and have a good time unless we know the dogs are in good hands and they were. They have both been ill lately which made it even harder to leave. But Michelle and Scott kept up their feeding protocols and were ready and able to implement plan b should they need to. These folks are among the best of the best and we consider ourselves lucky to have them care for our furr babies!

Above and beyond sitter! Jamis was so attentive and truly treated my dog, Lily, liked her own. I received so many updates and photos showing how much fun they were having while I was gone. Jamis was so flexible and kind when it came to scheduling and doing our meet and greet. I recommend Jamis to any pet parent who is looking for a sitter who will love and care for their pet just the way they do. Jamis is my first choice the next time I go out of town.

Elle went above and beyond with Henry’s care and communication. Our pup had some separation anxiety, so we weren’t sure how he would do, but she helped him feel comfortable and confident with the other dogs and he settled right in. She sent lots of updates and photos, which really put us at ease. It was such a relief knowing he was in good hands. We will definitely be back!

Sergei was so sweet with my very active and a bit complicated dog. My pup had a recent medical issue, several different medications and supplements to take daily, and on top of that is a very strong, active and curious guy. Sergei requested written instructions and was very organized and attentive at drop off. I really liked that when he had a small issue and delivered medication‘s a bit later than normal, he let me know that without my having to ask, and i appreciated his integrity. My dog was happy to see me when I got home after three days, but when I got in the car alone to drive him home, it was clear that he was disappointed that Sergei was not coming with us! Looking forward to booking Sergei again and so is my pup.

Carl and his wife did such a great job watching Mango during my weekend trip! I think Mango was actually quite sad to leave their place because he had so much fun in their backyard! I was initially a bit worried because Mango had a prior injury that needed some extra care and supervision, but they were able to manage that and prevent him from reinjuring himself. They were very responsive and gave updates during his stay that gave me peace of mind. I’m happy I found a trustworthy sitter for Mango! Thank you!
Maria and Kalyan have watched our 5 year old pointer multiple times for multiple days and always been great communicators about how he was doing and thoughtful caretakers if minor issues came up (e.g. giving him pumpkin if he had an upset stomach). This kind of trust makes them our first choice for daycare and overnight care!

Rachelle and Jonathan took amazing care of Wallie! They were communicative throughout the process and very accommodating to Wallie’s needs. My dog, who’s anxious around new people and environments, had a blast with Rachelle and Jonathan. I would definitely book with them again :)

This was my first time leaving my Velcro dog with a sitter, and Jennifer did a fantastic job. She answered all my questions and asked a few of her own before. My dog stayed with her. Her questions made it very clear that she cared a great deal. She was especially careful for first day or so to send photos and give me updates. It was clear that my dog was comfortable there. I would happily use Jennifer as a dog sitter again.
