About: Hi, I’m Kayla! I’m 23 years old and have been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. I graduated high school in 2021 and spent three years attending Folsom Lake College. My journey with pet sitting started when I was just 11, and since then I’ve had the joy of caring for all kinds of animals. Dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and even every kind of farm animal you can think of! Dogs have always held a special place in my heart. My aunt bred German Shepherds for 30 years, and growing up around them (and being part of their training) gave me a deep appreciation for the breed and for dogs in general. While I’ve always had a soft spot for big dogs, small dogs have completely won me over too. I’ve cared for pups of all sizes and ages, from helping deliver newborn litters to supporting senior dogs well into their golden years.I also have experience with cats and kittens. Even though I’m allergic and can’t have one of my own, I absolutely adore them and love any chance I get to care for them. At home, I have a 12-year-old Jardine parrot named Wasabi, who is my little best friend, and a 4-year-old Russian tortoise named Yuno, who definitely keeps things interesting with her spunky personality. Outside of pet care, I work full-time as a police dispatcher in Sacramento County, primarily on weekday nights. Because of that, I’m most available on weekends, but I’m happy to offer weekday morning or afternoon drop-ins when needed. In my free time, I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, yoga, pilates, going to the gym, attending church on Sundays, and spending time with family and friends. I’m also recently engaged to my high school sweetheart, and we’re so excited to be saving for our future together. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I truly love, and I would be honored to provide safe, reliable, and compassionate care for your pets, whether that’s through walks, drop-ins, or sitting. For dogs, I make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship through walks, playtime, and calm interaction. For cats, I follow their lead, whether that means engaging in play or simply offering a quiet, reassuring presence. I’m especially mindful with senior pets, making sure they move comfortably, stay on their routines, and receive any extra care they may need. I always keep a clean and respectful environment by refreshing water, tidying feeding areas, and making sure litter boxes or outdoor spaces are well maintained. I’m also attentive to any changes in behavior or health and will communicate promptly if anything seems off. I left my German Shepherd, Buddy, with Lori and Mike, and they did an excellent job watching him. They have a nice enclosed backyard where Buddy enjoyed frolicking and exploring. Buddy is an older dog and has some extra needs, including medications, and all his needs were well taken care of. Buddy came home happy and mellow as usual. I will definitely use their services again should I need them.
Roseanne and her family did an amazing job with our big boy. He has some specific requirements and they were able to meet his needs. He had a blast playing with their Border Collie Lucy and being able to run around all over their property. They gave us plenty of time to do a meet and greet and to feel comfortable about our dog staying the weekend.
Super clean house, amazing yard and neighborhood, and best of all, a paragon of experience! I trust Maisy with all dogs. My dog is a little fussy sometimes, and she was this sea of calm and managed mine and her group of dogs so well. Please choose Maisy!!! Evy and Wayne were kind and loving, taking excellent care of our 1 yo Shih Tzu Obie. They followed his requested feeding and walking schedule and sent lots of pictures and updates. Obie was safe, loved and well cared for. We look forward to having him stay with them again!!

Anadee was absolutely top notch with our senior chocolate lab, Guinness. He’s an old man and definitely a lot of work at this stage, but Anadee handled him with patience, care, and genuine kindness. Our kids loved having Guinness around during the stay and really enjoyed Anadee as well, which says a lot. She was also fantastic with our poodle, Lena — Lena was great with “the old man,” and Anadee made sure both dogs were comfortable and happy together. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely trust her again. Highly recommend!
