Jarrod did a great job walking my Alaskan Malamutes. He was an attentive and active listener, learning their commands and walking style. He offered positive feedback on the walking experience. Both dogs came back happy and relaxed. I look forward to continuing to work with Jarrod.

Cole was amazing with our beagle puppy, Cowboy. Cole was super communicative and friendly, and he took Cowboy on a long walk at the nearby dog park. Cole has dogs of his own, so he has a wealth of knowledge on how to train and take care of our dog. Would highly recommend Cole!

Ella has been so helpful with our dog while my partner was out of the country and I was stuck working in office all week. She was always on time, provided pictures and feedback on the visit and more importantly, our little girl seems to love her company. A++++

About: As someone who grew up with dogs, both small and large, I've learned what it takes to make sure the puppies are well cared for, between giving them the right food, making sure they go on walks, and grooming. Our pets are our best friends and so we should take the greatest care of them, and I'm willing to do that for all animals alike. I'm currently a part time worker both on weekends and weekdays and have lots of time to dedicate to taking care of pets. The only time I would not be able to offer my services is dueing weekends. In my home, I have a fenced yard to allow for our big huskies to have space to play and run, offering them toys that I know would keep them entertained. I also make sure to clean my dogs and ensure they eat healthily.

Dorothy was wonderful! She was friendly, reliable, and took great care of Daisy during her walks. Daisy was always excited to see her each day and clearly enjoyed getting out for exercise and plenty of time to sniff and explore. It gave us peace of mind knowing Daisy was in such caring hands. We definitely would recommend Dorothy for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker!

About: Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always been surrounded by animals! My next-door neighbor would trust me for weeks at a time to take care of her old cat, and I would always take care of my pets when my parents weren’t home. Over the past year and a half, I worked at a local veterinary clinic as a veterinary assistant! I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages. I’ve decided to take on pet-sitting full time while I finish college with my career goal being a veterinarian! I also own a leopard gecko, giving me experience handling exotic reptiles! Whether your pets need frequent potty breaks, walks, play-dates, or any sort of medication, I’m your gal! Your pet’s safety and well-being will always be my top priority! I’m currently unemployed, and about to finish my college semester- giving me of the time in the world to work with you and your pets! My availability will always be flexible and I will be attentive to any of your needs. I live with one (soon to be two) dogs! My current dog is very sweet and sociable- she loves to make new friends! I’m used to taking big and small dogs on walks, and am more than willing to take your pet on a playdate with mine! I can crate your animal, prepare special meals, and clean up after them if they’re used to going potty in your backyard! Same thing applies to cats and their litter-boxes! I will always be sure to make sure your pets are comfortable while you’re away.

Oreo and I so appreciate Amanda and Hector’s help during these beginning weeks of the new school year! I know Oreo looks forward to going on his lunch potty breaks with Hector where he can sniff to his heart’s content. 🐕 💜 🥰 We truly appreciate Hector’s flexibility when he comes a bit earlier some days due to the hotter weather or Oreo’s needs. We will definitely be requesting Amanda & Hector again!

About: Hello! Primarily, I am a speech-language pathologist by day, but I love animals and have always grown up with a full fur ball house. I love hiking and being outdoors with friends. I love animals and have grown up my entire childhood with dogs and cats, as well as other animals. I have been sitting on Rover for approximately 6 ish years now. I love taking dogs on long or short walks, whichever you prefer. Don't be afraid to ask any questions, I am very open and would love to be able to connect and take care of your dog(s)! Directions for your animal can be specific, as I am used to giving and being given these directions from past experiences. I am so excited to meet you and your furball(s)! I am currently available on weekends (friday-sunday) or on weekday nights during September - June and have more availability during the summer months. Please feel free to reach out with your schedule. I look forward to it! I value safety for any animal, I want them to feel comfortable with me and will work to build a relationship with them while keeping them safe. Is your pet a rescue or a new pet to the home? If so, are there any hesitancies I should know about when with them?

She communicates well and sends cute photos. Our dog has a few quirks (don't they all!) and she is very caring and patient with him. We are so happy to have found her!

About: I owned a dog camp for 10 years in the mountains outside of Boulder, CO. My daughter and I want to share our love and knowledge of animals with others. We have lots of experience and would love to spend time with your furry friends. My staff and I also worked extensively with Tenderfoot Trainers in Boulder, CO, and I have experience with a variety of dog personalities. We have a very flexible schedule and work from home. I have a small import business and work from home. My daughter homeschools and has various classes and lessons throughout the week. We can provide care (walks, food, snuggling, and potty breaks) in the early morning, at lunchtime, and/or dinner time as well as do sleepovers. We provide services housesitting, dog-walking, feeding, and giving potty breaks. Both my daughter and I love animals and we treat all pets as if they were our own. We understand how challenging it is to be away from your furry family but we will give lots of love, send lots of pics and do our best to form a lasting and loving relationship with your dog while you're away. We hope that your pup has as much fun as you while on vacation!

Our dog took to Ida instantaneously. She usually takes time to warm up and is tentative, but that wasn’t the case. Ida bent down immediately and interacted with her at her level and she was kind, gentle and read our dogs cues right away. We will be reaching out to her again and would highly recommend

Katelyn is absolutely wonderful! I recently had to start working in the office 2x a week and I wanted to have the pups walked to make sure they didn’t destroy the house :). My dogs are covid puppies and we didn’t do the best socializing them. Katelyn has been amazingly patient allowing the dogs to get used to her instead of forcing the relationship. She also sends pictures and a summary of how everything went after the walk! Way better than my kids would have done! Katelyn is worth every penny!!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 3,614 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Hidden Valley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Hidden Valley. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Hidden Valley.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hidden Valley. On Rover:

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
