Hi there! 💕🐾 I’m Sofia! I’m a stay-at-home mama, lifelong animal lover, and someone who has always had a soft spot for our four-legged friends. I’ve cared for dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages, and personalities, from tiny Chihuahuas and Frenchies to Greyhounds, playful puppies, sweet seniors, and shy little pups who need some extra TLC. **When you're away, your pet deserves a little vacation of their own!** 🐾 Think of my home as Auntie Sofia's house, where your fur baby can enjoy cozy naps, neighborhood walks, couch cuddles, lots of affection, and someone who will absolutely talk to them like they're a tiny human. 😂 I know every animal has their own personality, routines, and funny little quirks. I'm happy to follow their usual schedule, including meals, medications, training cues, and bedtime routines. **Cat lover, too!** 🐱 I offer drop-in visits for nearby kitties, including feeding, fresh water, litter care, playtime, and some good old-fashioned company. I'm also happy to discuss care for other small pets! **A little about our home:** 💗 Our home in El Dorado Hills is cozy, relaxed, and full of love! We have a sweet, curious toddler, so pets staying with us must be comfortable and gentle around young children. Safety is always my priority. I'm experienced in recognizing canine stress signals, managing challenging behaviors, and maintaining safe boundaries. All interactions are supervised, and everyone gets their own space to relax when needed. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets with someone else. Sofia has been watching my small dog for the last 4 years. She runs a really great puppy vacation while we are away and our little chihuahua mix is sad to leave when we come get her! She's very active with the dogs, they go on plenty of walks, and Sofia even got little Ju to take her pills!

Schedule
I’m a stay at home mama, so I’m home almost all the time unless my daughter has an appointment. 💕 Caring for animals is already part of my everyday life, so having a pup with me feels very natural. I like to let my routine flow around the pet I’m caring for - whether they need extra walks, frequent potty breaks, medication, playtime, a quiet nap buddy, or approximately 47 cuddles before noon. 😂🐾 I’m happy to follow whatever schedule helps them feel happiest and most at home.

I’m a stay-at-home mama, so I’m home with my furry guests most of the day and able to give them lots of attention, supervision, and reassurance. I’m always happy to follow special diets, medication instructions, training routines, or any other needs your fur baby may have, and I keep a close eye on them while they’re in my care. I also love keeping pet parents in the loop with plenty of photo updates and little check-ins, because nobody wants to wonder what their baby is up to. 😂💗 Whether your pet is staying with me or I'm helping, my goal is simple: keep them safe, secure, happy, loved, no matter what!
A typical day
Our days usually start with my daughter and me getting up, taking our furry guest out for a supervised potty break, and getting breakfast going for baby and pup. After that, we’re usually off for a neighborhood walk so everybody can get some fresh air and stretch their legs. We’re a pretty active little household, and depending on your dog’s energy level, age, and the weather, we usually fit in around three little outings a day — walks, potty breaks, sniffy adventures, or just some sunshine and fresh air. In between, there’s playtime, treats, cozy naps, lounging around the house, and of course plenty of cuddles. 💕 I really try to follow each pet’s normal rhythm and all those funny little rituals that make them feel secure and happy. My goal is for your pup to feel like they’re having a sweet little vacation too: safe, loved, comfortable and very much part of the family. ✨🐶

- Before your pup comes to stay, I love getting the full scoop so I can make them feel as safe, happy, and at home as possible. Please tell me about any medical needs, allergies, medications, or special care instructions, along with anything that helps them feel calm and comfortable. I also want to know their personality and quirks — are they a social butterfly, a shy little angel, a professional lap dog, a toy thief, or someone who needs a little extra space? Knowing how they do around other dogs, children, new people, and new environments helps me make sure everyone feels comfortable. Mealtime details are important too: feeding times, portions, treats, dietary restrictions, and any strong opinions your pup may have about dinner. And of course, tell me how they like to spend their day — walks, fetch, sniffing every blade of grass, couch cuddles, naps, zoomies, or some adorable combination of all of the above. The more I know ahead of time, the easier it is for me to make their stay feel less like boarding and more like a little vacation.
