“Christina did a great job with our cats while we were away. We have an older(14yr) and a younger cat (7yr), so each has different needs. Christina did everything we asked her to do. Will definitely be using Christina again!”

“Sophie was wonderful for my anxious girl, Roxie! I felt very comfortable leaving her in Sophie's care, and she was very willing to do all the little things that I told her would make Roxie feel more cozy and safe, and even spent some extra time playing with her! If you have a dog that has anxiety, or has any issue that requires a little extra care, Sophie will go the extra mile for you!”

“We had a great experience with Stephanie and will absolutely book with her again. Communication was excellent, we received regular updates, and it was clear our pets were well cared for while we were away. We really appreciate the care provided and look forward to booking again in the future.”

“Carrie did a wonderful job taking care of our four pets while we traveled internationally. This was the first time we used Rover and we are so glad we chose Carrie. She was very reliable, did everything we asked of her and more, and sent us pictures regularly so we could see all of our pets. We will not hesitate to use Carrie's services again!”

“Katie is amazing! This is the second time I’ve worked with her. My babies love her and she gives me peace of mind when I’m not home. She spends time and cuddles with them and sends me pics and videos. Love her!”

“Madison is a very attentive and communicative sitter. She took great care of the cats and sent photos and updates every day. Even when she was finished with tasks she stayed to visit with the cats if they wanted to come around. We trust her to care for our kitties.”

“Tracy was absolutely amazing with our Beanie!! I would most definitely recommend her to anyone needing services for their fur babies. I will be using her any time we will be out of town from now on (if she's available).”

About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs. Puppies, kittens, and senior animals are welcome. I am familiar with basic first aid and am familiar with the body language of most dogs. I do work full time during the week so weekends and non-business hours are best for me. I can easily serve the Catawba County area. I have reliable transportation. I am also available on most federal holidays. I'm happy to provide photos delivered electronically for each visit. I am clean and you can trust that your pets and welfare of your home are my top priority.

“Alyssa is wonderful with our puppy! She demonstrates a true concern for the well-being of our fur baby. Not only does she walk her and feed her lunch… She is also helping us teach basic commands. This is invaluable to us, as the socialization and reinforcement of commands from others will only benefit our pup in the long run. We are thankful to have found Alyssa! She is a blessing. ❤️”

About: Hello. Call me Kathy. I love all animals especially dogs and I have raised and cared for many over the years. I enjoy having other dogs in my home so that my own Teddy can socialize and make new friends. I have lots of time for long walks or lazy snoozes on the couch with my pooches. I love all breeds and most of my friends have a furry family member. When they go away they depend on me to care for their precious pets because they trust me and they know I will love and care for their pets just like I do my own. I am dependable and reliable and enjoy having fun with the dogs and teaching them new tricks. I live in an apartment but the property has lots of places to walk and run including a large, fenced-in dog park where the pups can run and play leash-less and carefree. This is a great opportunity for the dogs to meet and greet other pets in the area and just have fun together. Plenty of water is made available for the pooches as well as balls and toys. So, if you are looking for a place to leave your precious friend when you go away, trust Comfy Canine Care to give your pets the love and “at home” experience that you want them to have. So, reserve a spot for your furry friend today at Comfy Canine Care. I am retired now so I have lots of time for pet sitting and walking around the neighborhood and to the dog park on a regular basis. The dogs are allowed anywhere {including furniture but only if it is allowed in your own home}. Please let me know if there are any restrictions.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hickory
Amy has sat for us more than once and she does an excellent job. She's charmed my scaredy cat, administered medicine to the one that doesn't like it, and taken the adventurous third out on walks (my kitties favorite thing). We'll definitely ask her to sit again.

My cat is very shy and I was worried he would not come out of hiding to socialize while I was gone, but Scout was so amazing and patient with him! She gave him the time and space he needed to be comfortable and he liked her so much he even let her brush him! I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for my baby! I highly recommend!

Cannot say enough good things about Caitlin. She was precisely on time for the meet and greet as well as all drop in visits. Didn’t just run in and out but spent time with our fur baby. I highly recommend her and look forward to using her again for our future pet care. It’s nice when you’re out of town having someone you can depend on like Caitlin. Makes for a more relaxing trip when those drop in visit alerts go off right on time.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
