“Christina was wonderful, attentive and caring with my orange big boy cat, King. She sent updates with pictures each day. I felt 100% at ease knowing he was being well cared for during her daily visit. She's a gem, Highly recommend!”

“Chris is amazing!! There was a raging storm when it was time to get our sweet boy out. Chris went way above and beyond. We had some packages that we were not expecting delivered . He brought them in and dried them off. Cleaned up an accident due to the storm by JT. Then dried up a very wet dog. We had a second visit to feed JT dinner and let him out. Chris brought up our trashcan from the curb. Which had flooded and is all uphill. We are so very grateful for the quality of care and thought given.”

About: Born into a dog-loving family, Breanna has been surrounded by canine companions since childhood. Now, with over a decade of hands-on experience caring for dogs, she has carved out a reputation as a dedicated and attentive pet sitter. Breanna's first Rover booking in November 2023 marked the start of her professional pet-sitting journey, and she has since welcomed repeat clients, including her own mother's dogs. As a proud dog owner herself, Breanna brings a unique understanding and passion to her house-sitting services, ensuring her four-legged charges receive the utmost care and attention. I'm currently helping my sister potty her two dogs once a day at noon mon-fir. So your babies are not being left alone only for a little bit. And they get my undivided attention they need I love working and spending time with your babies. I would make sure to always walk your baby on a Leash if there is no fenced in backyard or make sure gates are locked if you do and to make sure your baby is taken care of when you're away
“This was our first experience with Rover.com and with Arthur D.; we could not have been more pleased. We had recently and unexpectedly said goodbye to our four-year-old cat after a sudden illness, and we weren’t even sure we would be able to take our planned trip. Arthur went above and beyond, adjusting his schedule on very short notice to accommodate us. Communicating with Arthur through the Rover platform was as easy as replying to a text message. The updates following each visit far exceeded our expectations and included pictures of every pet, along with thoughtful details about their eating, behavior, and overall well-being. Arthur was attentive, dependable, and genuinely kind during a very difficult time for our family. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a compassionate and trustworthy caregiver for their pets.”
“Carrie did a wonderful job taking care of our four pets while we traveled internationally. This was the first time we used Rover and we are so glad we chose Carrie. She was very reliable, did everything we asked of her and more, and sent us pictures regularly so we could see all of our pets. We will not hesitate to use Carrie's services again!”

About: I’ve dog-sat four pups at once, including three big dogs and one little one! I’m comfortable keeping up with different personalities and energy levels, whether that means going on walks, playing, giving lots of cuddles, or making sure everyone sticks to their routine. I love getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel happy, safe, and loved while their parents are away. I’ll be a full-time Occupational Therapy student, with Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays completely open for pet care. On my other school days, I’m available during my 12–2 PM break and after 4 PM. My schedule allows me to provide consistent, dependable care while balancing school. I want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and at home while their owners are away. I follow their routines closely, provide plenty of supervision and attention, and keep their space clean and secure. I also prioritize communication with pet parents and will keep them updated about their pet’s needs, behavior, or anything I notice that may be a concern. I’m respectful of clients homes, clean up after myself, and always make an effort to leave the space better than I found it.
About: Ive taken care of dogs for a little over 6 years but have been around dogs and cats all my life. Family and friends have relied on me to care for their pets and I enjoy taking care of fur babies. I work from home and finish work around 3:30pm. I am free most weekends for walks and care. With enough time in advance I can dog/cat sit in your home. I ensure a welcoming environment for your pet. I do have a 3 year old chocolate labrador who loves to have guests. I stay as true to their normal routine as possible making it an easy transition for when the owner is gone. I make sure I give extra love and attention to the pets as I would want this for my own pet.
About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was a young child, so taking care of animals has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve cared for my own dogs as well as pets belonging to family and friends, giving me experience with a variety of personalities, energy levels, and needs. From playful puppies who need lots of attention and patience to older dogs who may prefer a slower pace, I’m comfortable meeting each pet where they are. What sets me apart is how genuinely I care about the animals I look after. I’m attentive to their routines, patient with their individual personalities, and always want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and take pride in being someone both pets and their people can trust. I’m also bilingual in English and Spanish. Hablo español! 🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I have a flexible schedule and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I currently work part-time in school-based mental health on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, which leaves me with available on those days, if needed after 4pm and any time on Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends for pet care. Whether I’m caring for a pet in my home or in their home, my priority is making sure they feel safe and comfortable!! I follow each owner’s instructions closely, including their any feeding schedules, walks, medication if needed, routines, and any special preferences or behaviors I should be aware of. I also like to provide updates and photos so owners can feel reassured and at peace!

About: I’m a dog owner of a 4-year-old German Shepherd with epilepsy and an 8-year-old Beagle. Caring for my Shepherd has given me hands-on experience administering medication on a consistent schedule, monitoring for seizures and staying calm and responsive if one occurs. My dogs are also decently trained, so I’m comfortable reinforcing basic commands and maintaining structure. Having two completely different types of breeds also gives me experience with a different energy level and the attention to both of their different needs. Together they’ve taught me how to balance exercise, rest, mental stimulation, and individualized care for dogs of different sizes, ages, and temperaments. Being a military veteran I am also reliable, and consistent. I have lived with dogs all of my life and love meeting all kinds of different breeds. I’m happy to follow your routines closely, send regular updates and photos, and provide the calm, consistent care that helps dogs feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m currently on terminal leave from the military and will be starting my graduate program soon, with classes only on Wednesdays and Thursdays. This gives me a flexible schedule with plenty of free time on the other weekdays, evenings, and weekends. I’m available for sitting, and walks most days and can easily adjust around my class times to provide pet care. I’m experienced with dogs of different sizes and temperaments and will follow your routines, medication needs, and any special instructions closely. I can crate when needed and always prioritize supervision, safety, and lots of positive interaction so your pup feels comfortable and well cared for.

About: I have had dogs in my life as long as I can remember. I love all kinds of dogs. I have a small chocolate lab (1 year) and a Lab mix (approx 3 years). My life basically revolves around them. I am now a retired teacher looking for something to do. Since I love dogs and people need help with their dogs I figured I can do that and still love what I do. I am willing to come walk and play with your dog. Board your dog at my house, as long as out dogs get along. I would prefer dogs that are crate trained but if they are not we can discuss. I can come pick up your dog and take it to doggie day care and go pick it up and bring it back. Im pretty flexible. I worked with Hartmans Haven dog rescue as a foster and have had many different types of dogs in my care. I have had senior dogs and dogs recovering from surgery. I am happy to help. I love puppies and Seniors!! I have no experience on Rover.com but I have been taking care of my friends animals for many years. I can be chill and just sit and snuggle or I can take your dog for a walk. I love to throw the ball and play tug -o-war. Just let me know what you need. As of now I am at home most of the time the day. I am currently looking for part time work. I am usually up by 9:00 if I don't have anything to do. My dogs get me up by 7:00 most mornings. My dogs go out when they get up and come back in for breakfast. When weather is good they go outside and play. I often take them to day care to get them socialized. I do have a few side gigs Im working on but for the most part my schedule is flexible. The day usually ends by around 10;00pm I do not have a fenced yard yet. I am working on that. I would be leash walking your pet. My pets are crate trained when I am gone and out when I am home. They have dog beds to lay on but prefer the couch and chair. They sleep in my bed. If your dog is crate trained I have space for that based on their needs. My two dogs are dog friendly but I always want to do a meet and greet first. I am able to follow your in home routine as requested. If I have concerns I will ask you before accepting.
“Rilea is so awesome!! The person who typically takes care of our doggie wasn’t available so I selected her on Rover and hit the jackpot! Our dog is a bit crazy and high maintenance, but Rilea had no issues dealing with her. She was very reliable, highly communicative, and right on time for each visit. I will definitely book her again!!!”

Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or just someone to keep them company, I’m happy to provide that care. I’ll also make sure you stay updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I’m available for pet sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priority. I treat every pet like they’re my own! My sister has also taught me some training skills that could be helpful. I’d love to meet you and your pet—feel free to reach out with any questions! I am currently working full time, however i am off on Fridays weekends. If requested or needed I could be available during the week depending on the day. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. At this time I do not offer boarding in my home, but I’m happy to provide drop-in visits and, depending on the day, house sitting in your home so your pet can stay in a familiar and comfortable environment. During drop-in visits, I make sure your pet has fresh food and water, potty breaks, playtime, and attention. I also check that everything in the home is safe and secure before leaving. If your pet enjoys walks, play, or just some company, I’m happy to spend that time with them. As I do not prefer staying in a client’s home, if it is requested I can make accommodation. I will do my best to keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions if needed, and any specific care instructions you provide. I also send photo updates and messages so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I am empathetic, nurturing, and sensitive to various needs, and I take pride in providing compassionate and attentive care to pets. As a pet parent myself, I understand how important it is to know that your pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for, especially while away. I have owned a variety of pets over the years, including snakes, cats, and dogs, which has given me experience with different temperaments, animal species, and care needs. I am also a lover of the outdoors and enjoy hiking, which makes me especially happy to provide dogs with needed exercise! I am a full-time student, and my time is fairly flexible. I'm willing to travel to dog sit and can stay in the pet’s home to help maintain their routine and provide stability while you are away. Because I am new, my level of clients on the app is currently low; however, I can provide client recommendations as needed! My schedule is fairly flexible, so please contact me for additional details. I like to keep my schedule based on how the owners daily routine is with their pet. I like to keep pets on their normal/consistent schedule and will work closely with the owners to prioritize the needs of their pets. This was my first time using Rover, and despite initially feeling nervous, we hit the jackpot with Stephanie! She’s reliable, prompt, and very thorough. She took care of our dog and two cats while my husband and I were out of town for five days. They can be a handful, but they were undoubtedly really well taken care of during our time away. She was also communicative, sent me detailed updates, and truly went above and beyond. We will definitely book with her again!

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
