“Our dog, Shelby just had her 1st stay with Myra and had a good time. I felt better knowing that she was getting some individual attention unlike at much larger kennels that she has stayed at in the past. She got to go on several long walks, which she loves. She also was able to interact with other dogs under Myra's careful observation, which was great for her social skills and keeping her mind off of us being gone. I really liked getting updates and pictures. Also, Myra was flexible with drop off and pick up times. My dog is old, blind and deaf, so I do worry when I go on vacation. If I am not near, he gets very anxious. And it is hard for him to navigate a new place. But after our meet and greet, my own anxiety began to leave. Rachel and Donald sent more than one daily update with pictures. For once, I was not in a hurry to get back home! When I picked him up, he acted like he would have been fine to stay longer. I could tell they loved on and cared for my dog as well as I do. About: I have 2 dogs of my own currently one is 8 and one is 10. I currently work at a doggy daycare and boarding facility. i work 5 days a week less than 40 hours and i’m taking care of animals when im on and off the clock so it seems fitting to become a sitter and walker:) I live in a home with an unfenced 2 acre yard. we have a runner in case the dog isn’t leash or off leash trained.

About: I have been taking care of my own 2 dogs my entire life as well as dog sitting for my friends and neighbors. I also love all dogs like they are my own! I work part time and do not a have a regularly set hours but I can work around my schedule. I am available for boarding weekdays or weekends. About: I have had, rescued, and taken care of a wide variety of dogs from smaller malti-poos to a Dane who had been living on the street, was skin and bones, and ended up 188 lbs. Currently I have Pippa, a 7-year-old Labrador who is allergic to chicken, so I make part of her food. I am home most of the time, except when I host overly-complex board games at the Hickory Library or the Highland Rec Center -- and those sessions are at most 3 hours long. I am home most days, except when I am hosting 3-hour board games at the local library and rec center. Otherwise, I take care of our house and rental properties. About: My mom got me my first dog when I was 10 years old, and it was from then on that I promised to take care of him the best way I knew how. I have experience administering medication (in pill form, liquid, and gel) to both dogs and cats, even when they don’t want to take it. I have also personally trained my dog to sit, lie down, high five, and on accident, I taught him to get up on his hind legs and beg with his front paws. If there is any special care that your animal needs, I would be more than happy to quickly and efficiently learn and adapt to care for your animal the way they deserve. I am currently job searching, so I will be free almost every weekday with exception for surprise obligations that my family often come to me with. I am not available on the weekends, including friday for various extraneous responsibilities. When I first meet an animal, I get down to their level and extend my hand just enough to offer it as an option for them to investigate, but not enough to shove it it their face. I wait until the dog or cat engages with me before I try to pet them on my own to ensure that they feel comfortable and safe. If your animal has separation anxiety, I would be more than happy to comfort them with calming words and gentle hands for pets and snuggles. I will only feed or give your animal a treat if I am told to do so or given the okay beforehand as I do not want to over feed them or give them a treat you have bought without consent.
