I'll come to you :)Newton, NC

Hello, my name is Ashley and I have over 10 years experience in home and pet sitting. I am a Certified VSA (Veterinary Support Assistant). I have always had dogs and cats in my life. I currently have two Cats; Bailey is our 11 year old Rag Doll and May ling is a 8 year Siamese that I rescued back in 2011. Growing up I had 2 dogs and one other cat. They were my family and I loved them as such. I moved up this way a while back and have been eager to get back into pet sitting :) I can not accept them in my home, but I will come to you. I am available anytime during the day. I can stay in your home over night if you need me to. I also love utilizing my smart phone by taking pictures and short videos to send to you so you can keep in touch with your fur baby. I also have FaceTime on my phone and would be happy to do a face-to-face call between you and your baby. I look forward to hearing from you and meeting your four legged babies.

**Please reserve an extra night if you will not be returning home before 2PM on the day of arrival**

FAQ:

How do we start the boarding process? You must agree to a Meet & Greet appointment. We can discuss in-depth, their habits and needs which help me provide customized care.

If I book, what do I need to bring? Dog must be on a leash, more than enough food, treats, and any comfort items you feel the dog needs such as their bed, blanket, chews and toys. I have plenty of stainless bowls unless you use a specialty bowl like a slow feeder. I also have crates but you can bring your own. You do not have to put food into separate zip bags for each feeding (your choice). Just provide the measurement of food for each feeding. Please note the name of the food in case of pick-up delays so I can pick up food in an emergency. I will provide a receipt for reimbursement from you.

Bring proof that vaccinations are up to date. See list below. Your dog must be on a flea and tick protection plan. Heart-worm prevention is recommended but not required.

The following vaccines and a copy of proof are required before a stay:

Distemper/parvo combination: this vaccine protects against several potentially fatal diseases.

Rabies: This disease is fatal for all mammals, including humans. These vaccines are very highly recommended and can prevent very serious diseases.

Bordetella: (kennel cough) this vaccine helps prevent or reduce the severity of this serious respiratory infection that can lead to pneumonia.

What do I need to complete on Rover? Please enter brief care instructions and emergency information into Rover when you book. I need to know, in writing, allergies, feeding (times a day and amount) and any medication instructions. The more I know about your dog and his behavior and habits (good or bad) helps me to give better care.

Do you take puppies? No puppies or dogs under one-year-old because all vaccinations are not completed until after one year. All dogs must be neutered or spayed. I do not have breed preferences but 40 lbs. is my weight limit. Larger dogs will be considered.

How far in advance should I book? As early as possible! Many owners book months in advance, especially for peak times. I do take short notice (if I have availability), daycare, date night, short or long stays are welcome!

What are your hours? Flexible drop-off and pick-up. Monday – Friday, as early as you need until 7:30 a.m. or anytime after 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Weekends all day as late as 9 p.m. Please confirm a drop-off and pick up appointment time before arriving at my home to avoid canine chaos.

Where will my dog stay while you are at work? I work a part-time job mornings M-F. Dogs have outside time before I leave. They are contained and separated in a safe area while I am away. Your pet may be crated or placed in a crate-free, safe, dog-proof, fenced area in my basement until I get home. Water is provided along with their feeding schedule. Dogs are separated for safety. They are immediately taken outside when I get home for potty breaks and playtime.

Home full time - large yardStony Point, NC

My schedule is very laid back and flexible because I work full time from home. My wife is also home full time and willing to help, and I have two older teens in the home who love helping out with the dogs as well. Our own furbaby is always excited to have a new friend to pal around with, and our large backyard makes the perfect canine playground.

Your pup can expect plenty of exercise and attention in a clean, safe environment. And, if you have any special requests or unique needs, I'm always happy to accommodate as best I can.

I know your dog is more than just a pet, it's a cherished family member. I can promise I'll never lose sight of that fact.

Big dogs, little dogs, love em allConover, NC

I have owned and cared for pets for over 20 years including pets with special needs. I have two dogs, a Labradoodle and a Yorkie/Bichon mix. I also have a 12 yr old declawed calico cat, Sophie. My home has a large (6 foot wood privacy fence) fenced in back yard, a walker friendly neighborhood, and a screened porch perfect for pup lounging. I have dog sat for friends for years and try to maintain a chill, laid back environment for pets. Also I have a 10 year old daughter that loves animals as much as I do and would be happy to read books to dogs all day. I walk our dogs daily and they are great with other dogs. My cat has her own space upstairs that is protected by a baby gate. She interacts well with other dogs and enjoys making friends. Pets are like family and I pamper them everyday. I work part-time and teach yoga so I have a relatively flexible schedule. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

Passionate 4 Animals-LOVE my "job"!HICKORY, NC

I am an avid animal lover - of most species. I love dogs, cats, birds, used to have hamsters/gerbils. Dogs are my favorite - and puppies are my "heart." I have spent years of my life researching larger animals such as dolphins, whales and now elephants. I believe in positive reinforcement only - and find that most dogs "take" to me even when owners expect them not to. I've loved friend's pets from a large malamute to a recent "schnoodle" puppy!! I feel that I'm very good with dogs (and cats) and can adjust my schedule to their needs.

I've had experience with many breeds of dog. My first 2 dogs were standard American Eskimo Spitz dogs (ESKIES) - one female; one male - and they lived with me for 14 and 17 years. Such wonderful companions.

This time, I opted to try the "toy" size - but ended up with a "mini" - (ca 16 lbs) - and love having him with me. He loves having the other dogs and puppies visit when they visit here - and welcomes the playmates (when they choose to interact). I walk them separately so that each gets individual attention (unless requested otherwise). Lately, I've had several breeds board - and will list references below.
