“Myra L. Is excellent. She is our preferred option going forward for all dog sitting needs. We just got back from a short vacation, and have already recommended her to someone.”

“Brix did very well during her 2 week stay with Laura M. We were very pleased with Laura's knowledge of dog care and her attentiveness to our dog's personal needs. I found Laura to be very dependable, offering updates and even sending us photos periodically while we were away on vacation. Many thanks for a job well done, Laura!! Rover needs to make their booking services more user friendly. We had a few glitches with their program but Laura helped us straighten it out.”

“Allison is great! I have had a hard time finding someone I trust to watch my pup when I’m out of town and definitely found that with Allison. Can’t recommend her enough!”

“Dawn was amazing! She welcomed our two dogs into her home, allowing them space to become comfortable. Her dog was sweet and was patient with ours. She accommodated them with multiple potty breaks throughout the day and let them enjoy couch snuggles. We would recommend her anytime!”

“Karen did an exceptional job taking care of my dog! This was the first time I had left her and it was for a whole week, so I was missing her immensely. But the videos and pictures helped to ease my mind. I will def use Karen again for my dog sitting needs.”

“Kirby was well taken care of. I got plenty of pictures and videos every day. I could tell he was having a good time and got plenty of fetch time. He came home happy and smelling great. Would definitely use Susan again.”

“Bethany was great! My usual sitter could not keep Ellie, so I did a meet and greet. Bethany put me at ease immediately. She sent plenty of pictures and kept me informed daily. I would highly recommend her.”

“If you have a dog with needs, or just a dog you love, I would highly recommend Rachel and Donald to you! It was such a blessing to go on vacation and not worry about my pet! My dog is old, blind and deaf, so I do worry when I go on vacation. If I am not near, he gets very anxious. And it is hard for him to navigate a new place. But after our meet and greet, my own anxiety began to leave. Rachel and Donald sent more than one daily update with pictures. For once, I was not in a hurry to get back home! When I picked him up, he acted like he would have been fine to stay longer. I could tell they loved on and cared for my dog as well as I do. I will definitely use Rachel and Donald every time I go out of town. Again, if you have a dog with needs, or just a dog you love, I would highly recommend Rachel and Donald to you.”

“Our older boy loved his time with Jill and her family. She sent pictures and updates and I was a little worried he wouldn’t want to come home, because he was so content there. She obviously has the best set up for dog sitting. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Such a great and reliable sitter. Was able to do a last minute reservation and pick up both my dog and cat and bring them back!! Has a huge fenced in yard so my dog can play all day w other dogs. Kept the cats litter box so clean I didn’t even have to change it when they brought it back. Was able to extend a two day reservation on a day to day basis up to 5 days as we were moving and our schedule was erratic. Natalie and her husband are truly the best”

“Kathleen was great. She was able to watch Lucy last minute. Lucy is older with some health problems and Kathleen was very reassuring and attentive. She was also very patient with Lucy as she adjusted the first couple of days. Thanks for the great stay!”

“Best dog sitter we've ever had. Our dog seemed to love all the other animals and Tanya gave our dog Bummer extra attention. Bummer may have found a second home. Thank you so much!”

“Flower enjoyed her weekend with Donald! She was well taken care of and loved while we were gone. Drop off and pick-up were easy! Donald also sent several pictures of Flower while in his care and was easy to get in touch with while we were gone. We appreciated his care of Flower and will definitely use his services in the future!”

“Our boys were well taken care of and loved on at Ginia’s home for a full week! She sent daily pictures and kept us up-to-date with their daily activities. It was such a relief to know they were being treated like family. I highly recommend Ginia !”

“Wonderful, I love the convenience of having her pick him up and drop him off, he was worn out when he got home which is great, he got to burn off lots of energy, and she was a sweetheart, who had a long goodbye of kisses from Gucci”

“Amy took care of my 5 year old dachshund (Molly) for 6 days. My family absolutely loves Molly and we had not been away from her in about 3 years. It was really hard to leave her but Amy sent me updates and pictures. She never acted like I was bothering her when I would ask for an extra update. Molly is not just a dog to my family, she is our baby, and I will not hesitate to leave her with Amy again if we are unable to take her on vacation with us again.”

About: Reliable and detailed oriented! I will get to know their personal needs , personality, and what works for them! Your pets second favorite human lol I am a body piercer. I work 10 minutes away from my home. I have a set time to take my puppy out as he is still going through potty training My apartment is pretty open for the fur babies to room around and I have a small fur baby of my own that can play with! There is a big area of grass around my complex where they can go potty and play and a dog park right up the street.
About: Picture this: you love your working breed dog... but they can be a boarder's nightmare. Does it make you nervous that they won't get enough stimulation while you're away? You can rest assured dogs with me will get 2-3 miles of trails a day along with 2+ hours (more on weekends!) of supervised play time with an equally energetic husky. Along with structured crate time to decompress. I've dealt with the worst of leash pullers and have trained my own dogs with high expectations of good behavior. You don't have to worry about your pup loosing manners or reverting to bad behaviors while you're away! I can reinforce proper training while he/she enjoys vacation at a beautiful hideaway with miles of private woods, right on the lake for some water play when it's hot! Your pet's schedule: 7-9am: breakfast! 1-2 miles of trails 9-12pm: crate time with options of mental stimulation toys and food toys 12-1pm: potty break and inside or outside supervised play time with my dog 1-5pm: crate time 5pm: dinner time and evening walks 6pm-bedtime: supervised time around the house, options to interact with other pets, myself, household members. Bedtime: crate or bed if they prefer Note: this is based on my regular daily work schedule for weekdays and weekends. Some flexibility on time frames, excersize amounts, etc are possible. Just ask and let's see if can work something out! I have a high focus on making sure every animal gets adequate amounts of physical and mental stimulation. If your dog has needs outside of what I have listed, let's have a conversation! Crating is required while I or my husband is not in the house. Your dog will be crated in a low stimulation environment away from other animals for proper decompression time. And will never be longer than 4 hours during the day.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
