My dog is old, blind and deaf, so I do worry when I go on vacation. If I am not near, he gets very anxious. And it is hard for him to navigate a new place. But after our meet and greet, my own anxiety began to leave. Rachel and Donald sent more than one daily update with pictures. For once, I was not in a hurry to get back home! When I picked him up, he acted like he would have been fine to stay longer. I could tell they loved on and cared for my dog as well as I do. About: I have had pets since I was young. I pet sit for family members and friends regularly. My dog is my child and I treat other's pet the same way. I am currently working a full time job. About: I have had, rescued, and taken care of a wide variety of dogs from smaller malti-poos to a Dane who had been living on the street, was skin and bones, and ended up 188 lbs. Currently I have Pippa, a 7-year-old Labrador who is allergic to chicken, so I make part of her food. I am home most of the time, except when I host overly-complex board games at the Hickory Library or the Highland Rec Center -- and those sessions are at most 3 hours long. I am home most days, except when I am hosting 3-hour board games at the local library and rec center. Otherwise, I take care of our house and rental properties. I have a large fenced yard -- especially-so since my house sits along North Center Street. I also use carabiners to make sure that gates are locked.

About: I've had animals since I was a child and have taken care of them all of my adult life. I have personally fostered over 75 dogs through to their adoptions! I'm a trusted caregiver who can handle animals of all sizes, ages, abilities and temperaments! I love getting to know each animal's personality and how to best take care of them! With several dogs and a cat at home, I am always in pet care mode (and know how important it is to find a trusted sitter). Whether it is a drop-in or a boarding situation, I treat each pet like they are my own. (Also, our cat has his own "wing" of our home so he is not interacting with any visiting dogs.) We have two friendly, large dogs, Tennessee & Tucky who have been foster brothers to over 75 dogs of all sizes and ages. Having fostered so many dogs, I recognize that each animal is unique and I enjoy getting to know their individual personalities and how to best care for them. Whether the animals are in my house or their own, I will follow the owners' instructions and manage expectations so there are as few surprises as possible. I know how worrisome it can be to leave your pet(s) in the care of another, and I pride myself on making sure the animals are taken care of and enjoy themselves.
About: I have had pets since I was young. I pet sit for family members and friends regularly. My dog is my child and I treat other's pet the same way. I am currently working a full time job. During the week, I am available after 5pm. On Friday- Sun, I am available any time of the day. I make sure the pets have food and water. I like to walk the pets so they don't have built up energy. I also give them lots of love while I am there.
About: I’ve taken care of my shihtzu since he was born. He is now 6! I also recently adopted a border collie mix! I love caring for animals and seeing them thrive and grow! I work hybrid so I have a lot of free time to care for my own pets these days, as well as for others pets. I have very friendly dogs that could play with your fur baby! About: My family has animals and I have spent 9 years helping take care of their dogs and two cats. I have two dogs of my own and I have trained them myself as well as knowing when they need space, fed, or walked. Currently i don't work so i am free any day and anytime to be able to watch your animal. Animals are my best friend and I know they are yours too! I feed my animals twice a day based on their needs. I walk my animals 4 times a day or 3 times day depending on the day. I also help my family with their animals and have been for 9 years

“If you have a dog with needs, or just a dog you love, I would highly recommend Rachel and Donald to you! It was such a blessing to go on vacation and not worry about my pet! My dog is old, blind and deaf, so I do worry when I go on vacation. If I am not near, he gets very anxious. And it is hard for him to navigate a new place. But after our meet and greet, my own anxiety began to leave. Rachel and Donald sent more than one daily update with pictures. For once, I was not in a hurry to get back home! When I picked him up, he acted like he would have been fine to stay longer. I could tell they loved on and cared for my dog as well as I do. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of every kind big or small. I am very gentle and loving towards them. Knowing they hold a special place in my heart every-time I get to play around with my dogs and others I come in contact with. I can walk or play with your dogs throughout the week as well. Depending on the time of day you request I will have my loyal sidekick Colton aka( my son) with me. I am very flexible with hours and schedules. I can drop by for a check in or take them on a walk. I unfortunately do not board any dogs at this time.I am only able to do check ins for cats and dogs or walks for the doggos.

About: I have 2 dogs of my own currently one is 8 and one is 10. I currently work at a doggy daycare and boarding facility. i work 5 days a week less than 40 hours and i’m taking care of animals when im on and off the clock so it seems fitting to become a sitter and walker:) I live in a home with an unfenced 2 acre yard. we have a runner in case the dog isn’t leash or off leash trained.
