Brooke and her family were so great with our dogs! They gave them lots of exercise and sent us pictures every day, which made being away a lot easier! Highly recommend ?

I recently hired Michelle to care for my dog, and it was an amazing experience! From our first meeting, it was clear that Michelle is a true dog lover. She took the time to understand my dog's needs, which made me feel at ease. Throughout the stay, Michelle provided excellent care, ensuring my dog received plenty of love, exercise, and attention. She sent regular updates and adorable photos, and videos showing that my dog was enjoying his time. I wholeheartedly recommend Michelle for anyone needing a caring dog sitter. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my dog!

At our meet and greet, I knew Karen was the one whom we could leave our dog, Cocoa, with and know she's in good hands. We received daily updates on Cocoa. In no time, Cocoa warmed up to her furball friends and Karen. I highly recommend Karen if you're looking for someone to dog sit your dog.

Brittany has been great with my pups. I felt super comf with them staying with her and her family. It helps a lot that she has her pup with her, who's super extroverted and helped get my younger dog out of his shell. I strongly recommend her! I'm just bummed that she's moving away from me 😞

About: Picture this: you love your working breed dog... but they can be a boarder's nightmare. Does it make you nervous that they won't get enough stimulation while you're away? You can rest assured dogs with me will get 2-3 miles of trails a day along with 2+ hours (more on weekends!) of supervised play time with an equally energetic husky. Along with structured crate time to decompress. I've dealt with the worst of leash pullers and have trained my own dogs with high expectations of good behavior. You don't have to worry about your pup loosing manners or reverting to bad behaviors while you're away! I can reinforce proper training while he/she enjoys vacation at a beautiful hideaway with miles of private woods, right on the lake for some water play when it's hot! Your pet's schedule: 7-9am: breakfast! 1-2 miles of trails 9-12pm: crate time with options of mental stimulation toys and food toys 12-1pm: potty break and inside or outside supervised play time with my dog 1-5pm: crate time 5pm: dinner time and evening walks 6pm-bedtime: supervised time around the house, options to interact with other pets, myself, household members. Bedtime: crate or bed if they prefer Note: this is based on my regular daily work schedule for weekdays and weekends. Some flexibility on time frames, excersize amounts, etc are possible. Just ask and let's see if can work something out! I have a high focus on making sure every animal gets adequate amounts of physical and mental stimulation. If your dog has needs outside of what I have listed, let's have a conversation! Crating is required while I or my husband is not in the house. Your dog will be crated in a low stimulation environment away from other animals for proper decompression time. And will never be longer than 4 hours during the day.

This was our first visit and the first time my dog has ever been boarded. Kathleen was wonderful—she sent pictures and letting me know that Kenzie was doing fine…which really helped put my mind at ease. She went out of her way to make both me and my Kenzie feel comfortable about being apart. So grateful for the care and thoughtfulness!

Bryanna was amazing with our dog! She was very communicative throughout the entire process, beginning with a meet & greet all the way through the week stay. She asked a lot of questions during the meet & greet to make sure she knew our dog’s needs well, and that was very reassuring. We received daily updates and photos, and our dog looked so happy in them. We definitely plan to use Bryanna again!

Lawrence was great! I was really nervous leaving my boys with anyone but me (from previous bad sitters) but Lawrence did an amazing job! He sent me pictures almost everyday and even helped my big dog be properly introduced to other big dogs. I will definitely be going back and I'm almost positive my big dog wants me to take him back too ;)

Brix did very well during her 2 week stay with Laura M. We were very pleased with Laura's knowledge of dog care and her attentiveness to our dog's personal needs. I found Laura to be very dependable, offering updates and even sending us photos periodically while we were away on vacation. Many thanks for a job well done, Laura!! Rover needs to make their booking services more user friendly. We had a few glitches with their program but Laura helped us straighten it out.

About: Hi, I'm Jenny. I'm so excited to meet & care for your loved ones. Animals have been at the center of my life for more than 20 years. I spent five years working with a humane society, assisting with adoptions, foster programs, and cruelty cases, and I have fostered countless cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies throughout the years. This experience has given me the skills to care for pets of all ages, personalities, and needs. Pet sitting is now my primary focus, allowing me to provide dependable care, flexible scheduling, and plenty of one-on-one attention. Whether your pet needs exercise, companionship, medication, or extra patience and support, I will tailor my care to their individual needs. I have experience administering medications and caring for senior and special-needs pets, who hold a special place in my heart. Friends often joke that I'm a "cat whisperer" because cats tend to warm up to me quickly, but I love dogs and cats equally. When your pet is in my care, you can expect reliable communication, compassion, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing they are receiving attentive, experienced care and plenty of love while you're away. I look forward to becoming your pet's next best friend! Since pet care is my full-time commitment. I'm available for daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday care. I dedicate my full attention, allowing me to be flexible and available when you and your pets need me. I can easily accommodate small dogs in my townhouse. I have a large deck to lounge around and plenty of areas to walk your pet & keep them safe. I offer flexible services to fit your pet's needs and your schedule, including drop-in visits, walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. I can accommodate cats and kittens in my home if needed; however, most cats are happiest and least stressed when cared for in their own environment. Staying in a familiar space helps them maintain their routine and feel secure while you're away.

Kassie was amazing. We had rescued a 4-month-old puppy, knowing we had a trip planned in several weeks. We were concerned about finding someone to watch her. Those concerns went away when we met Kassie for a meet and greet with Daisy. Kassie kept her for a week and was given so much love. She even worked on her training! We had pictures at least twice a day with updates. Communication was excellent and she always responded to any questions that we had. Kassie has two other dogs and this gave Daisy lots of socialization skills. We will definitely be using Kassie again.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Taylorsville home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
