About: I’ve had experience with animals since I can remember. From having my own family pets growing up, to working in the animal field meeting new pets everyday, to owning my own today! I am very familiar with all ages of animals from newborns to seniors and as have experience in animal behavior. I also have experience with medication, animal handling, newborn care, and senior care! I look forward to helping out future pet families! I work a full time job but have ample time every morning, late afternoon, and early evening to care for your pets! I am always flexible and willing to fit it into my schedule if I am able to. I care for others pets as I would my own. My pets mean everything to me and I know how stressful and nerve wracking it can be to have to leave them in the hands of another person. If I can help alleviate that for others then I have done my job! I am very organized, detail oriented, and reliable.

Carrie did a wonderful job taking care of our four pets while we traveled internationally. This was the first time we used Rover and we are so glad we chose Carrie. She was very reliable, did everything we asked of her and more, and sent us pictures regularly so we could see all of our pets. We will not hesitate to use Carrie's services again!

About: I stand out through my dedication to delivering unparalleled care tailored to the unique needs of every dog. With specialized expertise in training puppies and providing attentive senior care, I bring a deep understanding of canine behavior and health. I prioritize safety, comfort, and personalized attention, ensuring each furry client receives nurturing and enriching experiences. My commitment to fostering strong bonds and creating positive, memorable interactions sets me apart as a compassionate and trusted caregiver at Rover. I am retired and looking for walking activities to keep me busy with the things I enjoy the most, PETS!! I love being around them as much as possible. When caring for pets in my client's home, I prioritize their comfort, well-being, and adherence to any specific routines or instructions provided by the owner. Here’s how I approach different pet care services: Dog Sitting: Daily Routine: I maintain the dog's regular feeding schedule, ensuring they have access to fresh water at all times. Exercise and Play: I engage the dog in activities they enjoy, such as walks, playtime, and mental stimulation to keep them active and happy. Comfort: I provide cozy resting areas and ensure the environment is safe and secure. Medication: If required, I administer medications according to the owner's instructions. Dog Walking: Safety First: Before the walk, I check equipment like leashes and harnesses to ensure they are secure. Exploration: I take dogs on stimulating walks in safe areas, allowing them to explore and enjoy their surroundings. Hydration: I bring water for hydration, especially during warmer weather. Positive Reinforcement: I use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good behavior during walks.

Alyssa is wonderful with our puppy! She demonstrates a true concern for the well-being of our fur baby. Not only does she walk her and feed her lunch… She is also helping us teach basic commands. This is invaluable to us, as the socialization and reinforcement of commands from others will only benefit our pup in the long run. We are thankful to have found Alyssa! She is a blessing. ❤️

About: Hi! I have grown up with pets my whole life. I have cared for labs and dachshunds to birds and hamster so I am well versed in interaction and first aid. I can also care for reptiles, amphibians and insects/bugs as I have proper training in labs and rehab centers. I am currently going to school for zoology and black world studies and have worked two years as a zoology and lab tech assistant. So you can be assured you animal is in good care. I am versed in behavioral activites, nutrition, training, and age grouped interactions between animals and humans as well as many of the signs for common sicknesses and fatigues within breeds. I love being outdoors and playing games in order to give the animals the ability to express their energy in an appropriate manner. You animal will be in great hands. I also make usually make pet friendly treats if I have advanced notice! I am currently self employed so my schedule works around me. Animal care always comes first, after all a steady schedule makes for a happy pet I have two small dogs one is a baby one is an old man but they get along great and play like puppies. They are friendly and would love to keep your fur baby company. However, if your dog is not up for company for any reason there is a nice sized crate in which the animals that reside here or your own (which ever you are more comfortable with) can reside it. I love to play, study mannerisms and behaviors, I like toys that make their brains work so they feel fulfilled and tired after a good session of play. Walks, breaks and water are a good way to bond and pass the time. Cuddle bugs are always welcome as well. Nail trimming and grooming available if needed.

About: Farm Stay Fun with a Vet Tech’s Care! With over 17 years of experience as a veterinary technician caring for small, large, and exotic animals, I provide safe, loving, and knowledgeable care for your pets while you're away. Dogs enjoy a farm style vacation with a fenced in yard for safe play, leash walks to meet friendly farm animals, and plenty of fresh air and sunshine. My own pets help welcome guests and make them feel right at home! Cats stay comfortably indoors with cozy spots to relax and windows to watch all the farm activity outside. They will enjoy a calm, enriched environment with plenty of attention and care. Your pet will be treated like one of our own, part of the family. They’ll go home happy, relaxed, and freshly bathed (for dogs!). Let your pets enjoy their own little retreat while you’re away! Pet care is a natural part of my everyday life! I run a small hobby dairy farm, so caring for animals is part of my daily routine, morning and evening chores are just part of the rhythm of the day. I also have cameras inside and outside the house, allowing me to keep an eye on all animals at all times, even while I am at my full-time jobs. Your pet will be treated with the same love, attention, and care as my own because here, every animal is family. Whether it's feeding, walking, snuggling, or simply providing a calm, safe space, your pet’s well being is always a top priority Pets in my care are treated just like family. Whether they are staying in my home or their own, I strive to make their experience as comfortable and stress free as possible. I follow each owner's specific feeding and care instructions closely to ensure a smooth transition, especially while their humans are away on vacation. At my home, pets have the freedom to relax and play in a fully fenced-in backyard. If they are crate trained, they will stay in their crate while I am at work, and then enjoy supervised playtime in the yard when I return. In the evenings, after dinner, dogs may go on a walk around the property to visit the farm animals. While they can observe and enjoy the sights and smells of the farm, they will not enter pastures or stalls or have direct contact with the animals to ensure everyone’s safety. I also adjust my care depending on the age and needs of your pet. Whether you have a playful young pup or a senior companion who needs a gentler pace, I tailor their care accordingly. The needs may be different, but the quality of care is always top of the line. With my veterinary experience, I pay close attention to the details of your pet’s health and well being. I’m trained to recognize early signs of discomfort or illness, and I take proactive steps to keep your pet safe, happy, and healthy throughout their stay. Safety is always my number one priority, and I make sure each pet feels loved, secure, and right at home.

About: I have taken care of my friends and neighbors pets (cats and dogs) over the past few years when they have went on vacation and not only did I enjoy the company, but the pets also enjoyed having me there to give them attention while their owner was away, especially when it came to getting pets and food. Over the summer, I can pretty much work every day of the week except most Sundays unless special arrangements are made. I can work early mornings like 5 AM to 10 PM on weekdays and most Saturdays unless stated otherwise. when I am at a client’s home, I will make sure that the pet is comfortable with me and does not feel nervous or scared, as well as making sure they have a safe environment to play in whether that be inside or outside, making sure that no dangerous obstacles are in their way, and I will also make sure that their food and water is safe to consume.

Courtney was WONDERFUL. She was able to swing by our house last minute when we were scrambling to find care for our animals from afar, and she was so kind and caring with our dogs. She wrote us wonderful notes and sent us great pictures, and it really made us feel great after having a not so great experience with another Rover sitter. Thank you so much Courtney for taking care of our pets like they were your own! We appreciate you more than you know!

About: I have taken care of dogs my entire life and have always been picky with who takes care of mine! So I know the ins and outs with walking, feed schedules and potty time! I have dog walked, and I house/pet sit as well! It’s important to have trust worthy people with your babies!!! Every animal should be treated as such 💗 I work part time and in school so it works out perfectly for my schedule and gets my steps in as well and being able to be around more animals is always a plus!!! I make sure the owners write down what they need from me so I have a guide line for each pet! I then offer them if they need to be crated or walked more frequently or are they allowed to have treats and so on! I also give them my number incase they want to call and check on them!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
