“Xenia was amazing! She was efficient and reliable when it came to the visit schedule. All our fur babies and (fishy) loved her! She also sent tons of photos of each visit. Would definitely recommend her and will be using her again! Thank you Xenia!”
“What a fantastic first-time experience. Afton was professional and personable, I could also tell that my pets were well taken care of during my time away. I was originally wary of letting someone into my home for so many days, but everything was just as I left it, and my pets were very happy. It was fantastic having someone local, and I would definitely recommend Afton to anyone looking for pet care in the High Dessert or wherever she may venture to in the future.”

“The holidays are stressful enough, but when you need to leave your pet for weeks it really piles it on. Thank goodness for Sami! All through the holidays she was there for our fur baby, sending pics, and giving him some extra spoiling. Knowing our pet was in such good hands made the stress of being gone melt away.”

“Lisa was absolutely perfect when watching my new baby. She followed instructions very well, sent lots of photos and videos and even cleaned up after my girl when she had accidents in her crate. Lisa also gave me some awesome tips on caring not only for my girl dog but also my senior boy. Definitely will be booking her again when needed!”

“Amazing care for my cats! Cleaned up after them and changed everything that needed to be changed. Very attentive, professional and easy to work with! Will definitely be booking again, highly recommended!”

“Mariah was GREAT! She watched our cats while we took a holiday trip this Thanksgiving and she was very attentive, caring, kind, and even sent us photos of our babies while we were gone! It was so reassuring knowing they were in such great hands! She is an animal lover who is currently studying to work with animals as well! We loved her care so much that we booked her for another vacation where we will be out of town! She will treat your pets the way you would treat them, it comes very natural to her!”

“Adalia did an awesome job with my two cats. I received rover report cards and pictures every day. On the last day Ellie had a digestive issue and Adalia cleaned it up even though I said I could do it the next day. Will definitely use her again if she is available.”

About: My passion for pets, is definitely something that's a core part of me, Dogs cats and everything in between, Ive most likely taken care of swimmingly? Well it's quite literally my everyday more or less for the last 8 years!, I got involved in pet rescue and most of my fur babies were rescues & foster fails. I care for pets as naturally as breathing comes to me! I see pets that I care for, be it, house-sitting or even those see through family visits etc. with as much care as my own! They're quite literally family for most people and should be treated with that level of respect and care.
About: Lifelong Animal Lover | Experienced Walker | Your Pup’s New Best Friend Hi, I’m Casey! I’ve been around animals my whole life and have always been active with them. With decades of experience walking dogs in the city, on beaches, and along scenic trails, I know how to create a safe, fun, and enriching experience for your pup. My own dog, Apache, and I walk at least 2-3 miles a day, and I’m happy to offer solo walks for your fur baby or buddy walks with my sweet girl, Apache, if they enjoy canine companionship. Whether your pup needs a high energy adventure or a leisurely stroll, I tailor each walk to their needs. I’ll treat your dog as if they were my own, ensuring a safe, loving, and stress-free experience while giving you peace of mind. Since I’m very particular about who watches my own pup, I completely understand how important trust is, so let’s schedule a meet & greet first to make sure it’s a great fit! I’d love to care for your furry family member—let’s get them out for some fresh air, fun, and tail wags! 🐾💙 I am self-employed and work from home, which means your pets will get my full attention throughout the day and during overnight stays. About: I have taken care of puppies and senior dogs. I know how to train dog on there basic training skills as well as to help keep them mentally stimulated. I’m a full time college student at the moment so my availability is open. I love being around pets and would love to help in my free time. I train my dog daily and I will do the same for your dog. I also love taking my dogs on walks and running him around in the backyard. I will keep your dog mentally stimulated which will help your dog be ready for nap time!
About: I have taken care of pets basically my entire life, of course I have had to learn and improve my skills from when I was younger. My family members have many pets which they rely on me to take care of when they are unable to. I am also going to school for a degree in biological sciences in hopes to find a career as a vet tech or anything which will allow me to work closely with animals. :) I am a 4th year biological science major at UC Merced. I hope to pursue a career which will allow me to work with animals closely while also spending time outdoors. I also am very interested in learning about animal husbandry and pet care. I love taking walks in the mornings and evenings, perfect for when dogs need to go potty! My services are mostly in clients’ homes because I have two cats and a small house which will not be big enough for larger animals like dogs. The way I care for pets in clients’ homes will be up to the client themselves as every pet parent has different ground rules and boundaries for their fur babies. I will do the basics like feeding and playing but will refrain from most other things unless requested to avoid stepping over boundaries, especially in other people’s homes.

About: My family had puppy dog named Hazel who we had for about 3 years. I used to play fetch with her in the backyard when I’d come home from school when I was around 10. I’d help with baths, walking her, my mom taught me how bring her inside when I was home alone doing homework, she behaved great and protected me well. A few years later, she passed from choking while eating something that I think had a bone in it and that was the first experience of heartbreak/loss. A few years after that, I adopted my current pet cat on my birthday, Ace, who I love so much. I’ve always loved animals and give pets to dogs whenever I have permission to, my best friend has many dogs so when I go over her house, I get all the cuddles and get drooled on, which I’m used to at this point. I love watching dog training videos and educating myself as I get older so when I finally get a dog again, as an adult, I want to be prepared and educated on how to protect their health, feed them properly and keep them safe with proper nutrition, exercise and training. I would personally love to get myself a Doberman or German Shepherd (Like Hazel was). I often go to my aunts house who has multiple chunky french bulldogs and help her in anyway I can, I enjoy how sweet dogs are and would love to help do any training techniques you’d love your little doggo to be working on while you are away. I am also in the process of my goal of losing 100lbs! So this helps me get the exercise I need while doing something I’m passionate about! Weekday and Weekends for now, preferably during the Morning & Afternoons on Weekdays and anytime as long as there is a day notice beforehand so I can clear my schedule just for your pet. Not currently doing pet sitting or boarding at my own home, maybe I will be more likely to in the future but I’m not sure yet.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
