About: I have been dog sitting for 6 years now I have been a dog lover/ owner for years. As far back as the can recall I’ve loved dogs. I’d be a great fit for your pet sitting needs! i have open availability since I am a stay at home mother of 3.. My children are such dog lovers as well. When ever anyone we know gets a new puppy, they want to keep it or take care of them often times we do allow the puppies to stay a couple of days, but not to long so the children don’t get to attached.

About: My family had puppy dog named Hazel who we had for about 3 years. I used to play fetch with her in the backyard when I’d come home from school when I was around 10. I’d help with baths, walking her, my mom taught me how bring her inside when I was home alone doing homework, she behaved great and protected me well. A few years later, she passed from choking while eating something that I think had a bone in it and that was the first experience of heartbreak/loss. A few years after that, I adopted my current pet cat on my birthday, Ace, who I love so much. I’ve always loved animals and give pets to dogs whenever I have permission to, my best friend has many dogs so when I go over her house, I get all the cuddles and get drooled on, which I’m used to at this point. I love watching dog training videos and educating myself as I get older so when I finally get a dog again, as an adult, I want to be prepared and educated on how to protect their health, feed them properly and keep them safe with proper nutrition, exercise and training. I would personally love to get myself a Doberman or German Shepherd (Like Hazel was). I often go to my aunts house who has multiple chunky french bulldogs and help her in anyway I can, I enjoy how sweet dogs are and would love to help do any training techniques you’d love your little doggo to be working on while you are away. I am also in the process of my goal of losing 100lbs! So this helps me get the exercise I need while doing something I’m passionate about! Weekday and Weekends for now, preferably during the Morning & Afternoons on Weekdays and anytime as long as there is a day notice beforehand so I can clear my schedule just for your pet. Not currently doing pet sitting or boarding at my own home, maybe I will be more likely to in the future but I’m not sure yet.

In clients' homes, I follow their routines and preferences closely, ensuring consistency for their pets. I take care to maintain a clean space, secure all exits, and monitor the pets closely to prevent any accidents. Building trust is essential, so I communicate regularly with pet owners, providing updates and addressing any concerns. My goal is to ensure every pet feels safe and cared for, whether at my home or theirs.

I am unable to do overnight stays, but I’m a stay-at-home wife, so my schedule is very flexible and I’m available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, or extended care. This allows me to give your pet consistent attention and stick closely to their routine. I also have a Labrador Retriever, so I’m very used to daily exercise, structure, and giving pets the time and care they need. I promise that your doggies will be very happy when you come home from work, your pets care is my number 1 priority ? I hope you can give me the chance to prove that I'm trust worthy and great when it comes to your pets. About: ****BIG PACK FRIENDLY, MULTI-ANIMAL FRIENDLY, FARM ANIMAL FRIENDLY**** I do not judge and welcome all critters and special needs/routines. Don’t hesitate to reach out and ask. I've had pets my entire life! I currently have dogs, cats, birds, and turtles. I foster homeless and lost pets that I find out in the streets, including hawks lol. I am very respectful with senior and disabled dogs. I am happy to give your pets medicine (if any), make homemade dog food if that's what you do, be alert when taking smaller dogs outside to pee, make sure pets don't sneak outside and ensure gates are locked to prevent run-aways. I love my pets and I will ensure to take care of your pets as I would with mine. I will make them feel comfortable, safe, loved while you are away, so don't worry! I will be happy to also send pictures and videos and hop on facetime, so you can chat with your babies! Please make sure to vet any sitter you hire. I have 3 reoccurring clients that I can give as references if needed. I work at office Tuesday-Thursday. Work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Available weekends. For certain circumstances, I can work from home, request PTO to adjust to your needs. Please ask to see what I can do for you. But when working from home, I am very attentive and always checking in and playing with pets. I often step away from my work to tend to your pets needs whether that's taking them out for a walk, out to pee/poop, feed them, play and take any medication of theirs (if any). I will take care of your pets as I take care of mine. I will ensure they are always in my sight and not be distracted on my phone. One thing about me is that I like to be present and not scroll away on my phone as much while on the job. I am always alert to hear if any pets are not chewing on things they're not supposed to in case of a choking hazard. In the past with foster pets, I've had to clear airways for them when they were choking, so I'm not afraid to stick my hand in their mouths to remove the object/food. I will ensure gates and doors are locked to prevent runaways.

About: I have three dogs of my own, so caring for pets is a big part of my everyday life. I’m very comfortable with different sizes, personalities, and energy levels—from playful puppies to more relaxed or senior dogs. What sets me apart is that I treat every pet like my own, paying close attention to their routines, behavior, and comfort. I’m patient, reliable, and good at picking up on small changes in a pet’s mood or needs. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding schedules, or just giving them love and attention, I make sure each pet feels safe and happy while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I have three dogs of my own. As an online student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of time, attention, and care throughout the day. I’m able to maintain consistent feeding, walking, and play schedules, and I’m home often to provide companionship and supervision. I provide a safe, loving, and structured environment for every pet in my care. In my home, I have a secure, fenced-in yard for supervised outdoor time, along with three friendly and playful dogs who enjoy socializing. About: Ever since I can remember, I loved animals. I have always had animals in my home since I was young and taking care of them comes naturally. I helped a few of my dogs with their litters. I also helped my aunt with her blind dog like I said I love animals and I’m here to help with whatever you need. I am currently working from home so I have plenty of time to play with your pets. I am available seven days a week to help you with your needs. I have a fenced yard so plenty of room for your dogs to play. I have two small dogs. One was a rescue. My dogs are inside dogs and are crated at night for bedtime.
About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and caring for them has always been something I truly enjoy. I was a dog mom to my Chihuahua, Thunder, for 16 wonderful years, raising her from a puppy through her senior years until it was time to say goodbye. Caring for her taught me patience, compassion, and how to support dogs through every stage of life. I also worked at PetSmart in Doggy Day Camp for about 10 months, where I supervised dogs of all sizes, monitored group play, recognized body language, and helped maintain a safe, positive environment. This experience gave me confidence handling a variety of temperaments and energy levels. I have experience caring for senior dogs and administering medication, as well as supporting dogs with vision loss, herniated discs, and canine cognitive dysfunction (doggy dementia). Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply wants company and affection, I always strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I treat every pet as if they were my own. My schedule is currently very flexible, allowing me to accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits. I enjoy spending quality time with dogs through walks, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping them company while you’re away. I always do my best to work with each pet parent’s schedule and provide dependable, consistent care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I stay aware of my surroundings during walks and pay close attention to each dog’s body language and behavior. My experience working in PetSmart’s Doggy Day Camp taught me how to recognize signs of stress, fear, or reactivity in dogs, as well as how to avoid potentially unsafe situations. I also pay attention to other people and animals we may encounter to help ensure every walk is safe and enjoyable. During drop-in visits, I follow your pet’s routine, make sure they have fresh water, food if needed, and plenty of love and attention. I’m fully present during my visits and prioritize caring for your pet over distractions like my phone.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
