About: I’ve owned cats all my life, and a few dogs. I have experience volunteering at a local animal shelter, working with both cats and dogs when I was younger . I have a 4H background as well. We adopted our dog Frida 2 years ago. I’m a stay at home, homeschooling mom with a flexible schedule. We are home often and already own a dog. It's not much more work to add one or two into the mix. My kids love dogs and enjoy meeting new ones. We all love that owning dogs helps us to be outside more, either playing with the dogs or taking them on walks. My three children adore dogs and cats, and will give lots of love and attention. We live near parks and have a great neighborhood for walks. Dogs are allowed to free range of the house and fenced yard. They are allowed on the couches.

Because I only take a few dogs at a time, I’m able to stay involved in their routine and give them consistent attention throughout the day. Dogs stay inside my home and are treated like part of the family. If your dog is used to relaxing on the couch or staying close by, that’s welcome here. I also have crates available for dogs who do better with structure or quiet time. Crates are used for a dog’s comfort and safety, never as punishment. Care is always adjusted to what helps each dog feel most secure. I have experience caring for dogs who need extra support, including dogs recovering from injuries or needing limited activity. When needed, I use an indoor playpen so a dog can rest safely while still being near me and included in the home environment. My dogs enjoy being around other dogs but are also respectful of dogs who prefer a calmer pace. They read body language well and give space when needed. Dogs may be together or separated depending on what’s safest and best for each individual dog. All dogs are closely supervised at all times. Counter-surfing is actively prevented, and food or treats are never left unattended. I keep a clean, calm environment using dog-safe cleaning products.

I had explained that my girl is a little high-maintenance and she was safe the entire time. I picked her up and she was exhausted.
